Awesome experience! It always makes me nervous when I go to a new nail place, because you really just never know how the quality will be. Venus Spa Nail really deserves every bit of 5 stars! On first impression alone, the technicians were very friendly and the salon was spotless, and had a fresh feeling. I got the pedicure and the ""dip"" on my nails. They have the disposable plastic lining in the pedicure tubs, which always makes me feel better! The pedicure was very relaxing and she really took her time painting my toes, and always made sure I was comfortable with what she was doing. The same care and precision was taken on my manicure. I got a French ""dip"" manicure and she took extra care to make sure I liked the shape of my nails and the amount of white tip (I don't like them really thick). I walked in without an appointment and only waited about 15 minutes (they let me sit in the massage chair and soak my feet the whole time so the wait was no big deal). Best Nail Salon in Valparaiso - by far! This nail salon is beautiful! The atmosphere is clean, inviting, and relaxing. They have pedicure chairs that will massage you into heaven while you relax and get an amazing pedicure. Their no-chip gel manicures are top quality - I go two weeks in between manicures with not one chip! People always ask if I just came from the nail salon. They always have great specials going on too - making it a great deal as well as the best quality nail services I've ever had! Did I mention they are open 7 days a week? Go now & bring a friend! I go in every 2-3 weeks for a gel french manicure and my nails always look great! People literally stop me all the time to tell me that they love my nails and ask where I get them done! Amazing price and amazing service! I got a gel mani and a regular pedi, both we're done perfectly. My friend and I didn't make an appointment but were taken right away. The staff were very friendly and offered us water. The nail technician took her time and made sure to ask me if I liked the length of my nails, if the paint looked ok, etc... They also have the biggest selection of gel colors, with many glitter and brightly colored ones - my favorite! They have many different shades of nudes and pastels as well. Went and had a manicure and pedicure... worst I ever had... I had no chip manicure and just asked for clear pink... only had clear... my nail are rough and my cuticles look worse now than before my manicure... my toes are bad too... don't waste your money or time... STAY AWAY. Dont know what happened but the staff is completely different than the last time I was here. All new staff. VERY dirty. Floors, counters, all surfaces were dirty. Staff now wear white jackets like a chef. DIRTY! stained and just not clean. Hair not washed. Terrible experience. When we walked in one of the male staff was playing a video game on his laptop at one of the stations. He had earbuds in and was yelling while playing. I had reservations for three of us. Came in hours earlier to book. Only ONE staff member available. The others working w customers and then the guy playing video games. 20 minutes later he joins us. What's the point of a reservation?? Was hoping that,even though the salon was dirty, the pedicures would be great--like they had been in the past. Awful is the only way to describe ALL THREE of us had a bad experience. 1st off they don't speak any English. The man who did my Mani and pedi, did a horrible job. Pedi was pretty much soaking my feet and polish. Never even worked on the bottom of my feet. 2nd, when he was doing my no-chip, I asked him several times will this color get darker because when he applied it, it was so light. He pretty much hushed me from talking. He then sneezes in his hands and then grab my hands and continued to work on them. Absolutely not sanitary!!!  Then when I was finished he told me to wash my hands and then he dipped them in this wax and I said no I have rings on he said OK OK just dip. The place was clean and they used clean tools but I was very disappointed with my mani and pedi. The man I got was in a rush and gave me a really sloppy manicure. He also kept bugging me to let him do the gel mani instead of what I asked for, he just wouldn't let it go which was irritating. I came in an hour before closing and was not greeted at all. The gentleman who did my nails was outside in front smoking before he came in to take me. He was rude and did not even try to chat with me. He rushed through my nails and ended up making quite a few mistakes. I ended up with uneven nails that did not look professionally done. Whenever I'm in Valpo, I drive all the way across town to come here to get a mani or pedi.  I stopped in at a different nail salon across the street first, but there was a wait and I was in a big rush.  I was driving around aimlessly and then saw this place.  It is probably the nicest nail salon I've ever been in and it's huge!  They have the big, leather massage pedicure chairs, a waiting area and a separate section in the back for drying your nails.  Also, they have two or three flat-screen tv's to watch.The guy, who I assume is the owner, is very nice.  At my first visit, I told him I was in a big hurry.  One girl started my manicure, but after the owner finished up with his client, he personally came over and finished my nails since he knew I needed to get out of there soon.  It was the quickest manicure I've ever had, but also one of the best.  It was very neatly done.i believe they offer additional services besides mani/pedis, but I have yet to partake in one.  The staff is friendly without being overbearing.  I hate salons where, even after being given the hint to leave me alone and just be quiet, they continue to try to chat me up.  It's not going to make your tip any bigger.  As if!
