This place is a rip off.. There's nothing USA about it other than they take your USA money charge too much do poor work. Full set cracks four nails within three days on my girl. She doesn't work. They just wanted another thirty bucks for a fill. Ridiculous avoid at all costs! Read Less

The staff was nice but my nails not so much. I left with misshapen and crooked nails that were badly painted and applied so far away from my cuticle that I have had them for two days and they look grown out like I already need a fill. Read Less

Brenda and Julie are great. I have been going here for years. I never wait long. I typically get a mani/pedi and gel polish (my own nails) They are inexpensive and do a great job. NOTE: I have no chronic health problems such as diabetes that would predispose me to a bad outcome. Read Less

When I first moved to this area, I always asked ladies where they got their nails done and they always mentioned this place.  There are at least three other nail places in Richmond: there's one in the mall, there's a Red Nails and then there's Canterbury Salon and Spa.  I have only gone to this one so far and it's been a fairly good experience.  I am always paranoid about catching skin diseases and everything, so I am a stickler about cleanliness.  They sterilize their instruments in an ultra-violet machine, I was quite happy to see that.  The only thing that concerned me was that after I had my pedi done, I was sitting at the naildryer.  Not more than 5 minutes after me, another patron had come and sit down at the same chair that I had just been in.  I don't think I remember him cleaning out the foot basin, that kind of bothered me.  Now, he may have very well done it, but I am not sure.  I didn't smell any bleach or cleaning agents or anything.Also, maybe it's me, but the last few times I was there, the polish on my toes had bubbles underneath them.  I don't think I've had a smooth finish there for my last 3 visits.  Personality wise, they seem friendly enough.  It drives me nuts, though, especially when they speak to each other in Vietnamese.  You KNOW they're talking smack about you!  (There was this one nail salon in California that I used to go to and they were only allowed to speak English to each other, I loved that!)All in all, an OK experience.  Not the greatest, but not bad.  They do an adequate job.  Maybe one day I will try the other places in town and see if they're any better. My sister and I went in for mani/pedis Saturday September 13th 2008. We were sat down for pedis at the same time, while her feet were soaking, one of the guys started on mine. After about 7 or 8 minutes, another guy came from the back and started on my sisters feet.About then, the electric went out. I was rushed from the pedi area to the mani table, and realized that there was no way for him to add extentions to my nails, so we sttled up and I paid $50.00 for a ten minute pedi,(both mine and my sisters) and gave the guy a $5.00 tip, to share w/ the other guy.I then went to the car and waited on my sister. I sat in the car for 27 minutes.I went back in as my sisters polish was drying. I told them I thought I was ripped off, because I only had about 10 minutes, and my sister was having like 45 minutes, and that I thought I should at least get a $10.00 coupon towards my next visit. He kept blaming it on the electricity( which had nothing to do with the foot massage, and the calf massage, or the polishing.) He absolutely refused to give me ANY credit towards future business, even after I told him this was our first pedi, and that we would more than likely continue business w/them if he made an attempt to right the wrong.He wouldn't do ANYTHING, even return the $5.00 tip, that he was very undeserving of.I would not refer anyone to them.
