I really enjoyed going here and had hoped that my bad experience was just an isolated incident. Unfortunately that wasn't the case I went back two other times and continued to get poor customer service. There receptionist there is very personable and friendly unfortunately not everyone there shares hers her customer service skills. During one visit I showed up at 5:45pm and finally left a little after 8pm. I started at one station was left for a while then passed on to someone else three times before I for I finally got my nails done. They we're even busy was the frustrating part , that and having to explain what I was getting done multiple times. My nails held up for anout four days I went back to get them fixed and was told the treatment I get doesn't work for nails (I get the same thing done Everytime) and I need to get a another treatment. This other treatment of course was an up charge and I spent 10 minutes explaining I had no interest in that service before he finally started on my nails. I love the work they do and have always found them to be very professional until today. The new receptionist was extremely rude unprofessional and needs some additional training. Terrible. Burnt my feet with the water, even though I asked for them to make it colder twice. We waited and hour before even asked what what color we wanted and they were not busy. Lady was rude and dug her nails and tools into my skin and made me bleed; then laughed. Extremely over priced and their hot towels burned my leg and that was just the pedicure. The pedicure ended up looking okay but I had to yell at the lady to do her job right. The manicure was done by a different person but still made our fingers bleed. This salon was very unprofessional. I went in today for a perdicure and was asked to come to the back and be seated in a spa chair. Then after much conversation by the staff in their native language they told me that I would have to sit and soak for 20 minutes. I told them I prefer not to wait in the water. One of the male techs then said if I can't wait then I can just leave. To which I replied I did not say I would not wait I just did not want to sit in the water for 20 minutes. After more conversation in their native language the pedicurist then asked if I could come back tomorrow. Why not jist say you dont want to dp the pedicure? When my boyfriend and I walked in it was cramped we couldn’t get out of the door way. There were no seats in the waiting area. They were over booked and had very few technicians available. I told the lady at the front desk I wanted a full set of gel. She sat me in chair 5 and my boyfriend in chair 6. We were picking out the color for my nails and a male technician came over to us and very rudely said, “get up I need your chair!” More than 2 times. He forced us to give up our chairs after we waited almost 30 minutes. I also have concerns about the cleanliness. The nails stations were covered in dirty tools, dust, and dried nail polish. There way even a tip still on the station I was sat at. I have been to a lot of salons and have never been treated so poorly. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I had a horrible experience with nail place. I love customer service and this place didnt deliver that. The nail tech that sits in the front was very debative on me getting a full set vs a full in. To be honest, I didn't need a full set, but he stated, my nails would break if I didn't. I've been getting my nails done since I was a teenager and I know that's not true. I should've walked away, but I stayed since I needed by nails done. BAD choice, my gel came off my nails in a week. I had to go to another nail shop to fix the mess the nail tech did here. I came for pedicures with my 6 year old daughter because I could walk in.  They were not very busy and we didn't wait long.  They have very cute chairs for kids pedicures.  The lady that did my daughter's feet was nice and sat with her while they dried.  She even put a little flower on her big toes and only charged me $15.  My daughter had a very nice time.The lady that did my toes was very rough.  My water was almost cold and they kept trying to fix the jets in the tub.  She also kept laughing and I wasn't sure if she was laughing to herself or at something else going on.  Kind of strange.  She used way too much lotion on my legs.  I had to wash my legs when I came home because they felt greasy.  The place was clean, but their equipment is obviously very old.  My toes look nice and my heals are soft again, but I probably will try a different place next time. I finally found my nail salon! I am extremely picky about my nails and Show Hand Nails is incredible. The nail techs is so patient with me, remembers how I like my nails done and always makes sure I'm happy with my nails before I leave. He does my and they come out great every time. They ask is you'd like a pedicure, but are never pushy about extra services and will be upfront about pricing. The decor is tastefully simple and they play relaxing music at a comfortable level. The pedicure area is kept pretty dim to ensure optimal relaxation and they always have an aroma machine going on with light pleasant smells. I LOVE Show Hand Nails, won't go anywhere else and I personally prefer Show Hand Nails handling my nails. It's also very VERY clean. I'll be back. Read Less

The older woman nail tech was very incompetent. Filed down my nails so thin they are brittle and crack, nails catch on everything because they keep breaking, skin around nails have burns from rough filing. Nails are painful to touch!Rushed through the whole mani and pedi even though there wasn't anyone waiting. Stopped her part way through mani because she clipped too much skin off and made me bleed. Didn't want her to finish mani pedi service because she made the whole process painful. They also tried to over charge me for services not rendered. Heed the other reviews because they are true. I have gone to Show Hand Nails several times in the past and have seen a trend of my gel manicures chipping off sooner from here than other salons I have tried. On my most recent visit, one of my nails completely peeled off less than 24 hours after I got them done!! Called about 90 minutes before they closed for an appointment and got in ( my daughter too) impressed for a Saturday. We both got pedicures, they have several pedicure chairs and adequate staff for a busy weekend day. We've come here several times and been happy with their services. They have different options for pedicures basic to deluxe which could include paraffin and a hot stone massage. Even the basic pedicure usually last a few weeks. Read Less

I went a couple months ago for a mani/pedi and it was great. I was looking forward to another great gel manicure but this time was disappointing. The lady who did my mani seemed to be in a hurry even though no one was waiting. She rushed the whole process and didn't do much prep work. She did not do anything to my cuticles! She didn't even push them back! In the past I remember getting a small hand/arm massage but this lady did not even put lotion on my hands! The facility was clean, the staff was nice,they got me in and out quick but I feel like that was how my service was ....quick. the nail tech ripped out my cuticle, granted it was an accident and she was apologetic but I think it was because she was in a hurry. I've been coming to Showhand Nails for almost a year. I like the fact that they are open on Sundays and offer a great variety of services; from pedicures to eyebrow waxing.My favorite service is the gel nails. They have tons of colors and the nail always stays shiny and bright. Cam is exceptional at doing nails. He shapes them so my short fingers look slim and long. Love it!Kevin does the best pedicures! I decided to try a new place because it was near where I was shopping. Bad idea. A few things I immediately noticed, I had two people work on removing my gel polish, they used an electric drill to remove the gel (new for me - seems rough), I was told to pull my hands from the LED too soon so when he went to wipe off the residue at the end, he removed the clear coat. He seemed to not see the problem with my nails. I showed another tech who evidently told him. He had to file, repaint and dry again.What made me most upset is I'm so laid back and easy going. I'm patient and understand everyone has different techniques. I rarely (and I mean literally) ever complain so if I do, "I'm really not happy." I hate being that person.Please note: This is MY experience with just ONE TECH so I can't say the salon as a whole is bad. He did attempt to fix my problem so I give him credit for that. Nope! Never again.  Cheap? Yes.  Peels two days later, yep! BEST pedicure I've ever received! I got the $35 "queen" pedicure and it was worth the upgrade! Had a paraffin wax, scrub, lotion and hot stone massage. They spent detail on the massage and the polish was awesome! First time customer and I will definitely be back! Read Less

A great place for all your nail needs. I regularly get pedicures and gel manicures, so I know when a place is good or not. The application here is great and most importantly very clean. I'm in town and after a massage decide to get my nails and feet done. The nail tech who worked on my feet was AMAZING. I was so excited to get my nails done after my pedi thinking she set the tone. I was wrong. The male tech who did my nails next kept ignoring me when I told him my nails were too narrow. When I stopped him the 4th time he cut off all my nails and proceeded to send me away. I had pre paid. "Are you going to remove the excess acrylic?!?" I asked confused and frustrated. And he begrudgingly went to get me a bowl of acetone. As I sat there, waiting for the acetone to do its stuff, my full intent was to get a refund. Another male tech offered to re do my nails I let him. Granted I'd already been there for almost 2 hours I would've given them 4 stars but there was NO CONSISTENCY WHATSOEVER with my nail cut or size. I have lopsided nails, slanted nails. My hands look awful. They didn't care to even try to make them look presentable. As I was in there I noticed out of all their customers that I was the only one getting acrylic. About 15 people walked in for Gel or pedicures. I looked around the room, ample stock of acrylic nail tips. It slowly hit me that they all knew not to get acrylic nails done here. They were all smart enough to know that this wasn't a good place for acrylic nails. I wish I would've picked up on that sooner. My toes look great, my nails look like I did them. Up side down. Very pleasing atmosphere, but the service is entirely hit or miss. I have been unhappy with two of my last three visits. Please make sure to be very clear when giving any instructions about the length and shape that you desire. I know that my longer, round nails are not the trend right now, but I am always very clear about how I would like my nails to look. The first time I ended up with poorly shaped, short, square nails. Most recently, I have actually had to ask the tech to stop filing. The nails that I worked so hard to grow and repair are now shorter than my fingertips and are again poorly shaped. It has been only one tech that I've had such poor results from, so I will return to this salon, however, I most definitely will not be allowing her to complete my service again. Read Less

Show Hand Nails is clean with lots of pedi stations.  The staff are friendly.  One or two speak English and the rest do not.  However this hasn't been a problem any of the dozen or so times I've gone there.  I only have two gripes.  First, if you're getting a mani and pedi and they begin the pedi first, another nail tech will come along and work on removing your old polish while you're sitting in the massage chair getting a pedi.  It totally ruins the relaxing pedi experience.  Second, they've changed the way they remove gels.  Originally the did it like everywhere else, roughing up the polish with an emory board.  Now they use the drill file used on acrylics.  It's certainly faster, but it scrapes up the top of my nails in the process.  If I want to go without polish they look like crap for 6 weeks or so until they grow out. When I first walked in the salon, I was immediately turned off. The man kept trying to upsell me on the gel manicure even though I insisted three times that I wanted to get a regular one. The french tips I got were uneven and chipped after just a few hours. The worst part... I decided to get my eyebrows waxed and the lady made them COMPLETELY uneven!! She trimmed one eyebrow, but not the other?! She also didn't even bother to wipe the wax off my face after she was done and just walked away. It was my first time getting my face waxed, so I was completely thrown off and just paid and went on my way... but one eyebrow is half an inch shorter than the other. This is unacceptable. So it's about a twelve minute drive from where we live and we keep trying to try other places out but usually they are too long a wait or closed. So after each failed attempt we always turn to this place. We basically come here every time and they sit me and my mother right down in the massage chairs and even though we may have a bit of a wait for our pedicures or not we get to get massaged by the chairs and they are very friendly here and I like the foot massages they give I have really sore feet so it's nice to have the hot stone and the mint scrub and my nails look lovely every time. And the polish stays on for about a month and there is a variety of colors. I mainly get pedicures so I don't know all about their manicures but I like this place. Read Less
