Went for a fill and gel polish. Shape of nails is great, the gel polish has ridges. Worst part is my friend went last week for a fill and gel polish and it was $23 They charged me $33 and my sis in law that was with me had the exact same thing done and they charged her $30. Don't come here! When I came in, they told me it was a half hour wait. I was ok with that. After about 40 minutes, they came and got me seated at a pedicure chair. The water felt BOILING hot on my feet, and no one bothered to ask if the water was too warm or too cool. Then, after about 20-30, they finally got to me. All he did was scrape the cuticles of of my left foot, then gave he the customer next to me A FULL PEDICURE! At this point, I was already fuming mad. (A friend went with me to this salon). After close to 20 MORE minutes, they got to my friend. Another employee took her feet out of the water, removed polish off of 9 of her toes( I repeat,9!), and went on his way with another customer. We had gotten there at 1:07, it was now 2:00, and no one had at least taken our feet out of the water. By that time, the water had gone from boiling hot to ice cold. When we told an employee we were leaving, he looked at us like we were being ridiculous! I give this experience 0 STARS!!!!! After I promised myself I'd never go back there, my daughter talked me into it so we could eat lunch at McAllisters afterwards. NEVER AGAIN!! They can't communicate with you because they don't speak English They rush you so bad, won't give you time to pick out a color... even though there's no one else waiting for a pedi/mani. Who wants to sit at a small table for an hour with another human being and not share a conversation. NOT ME!! My biggest complaint though is the quality. My manicure looked AWFUL just a few days later. The new gel dip powder is a HUGE waste of money!! I wish I could post a pic. The top coat is turning real dirty looking, like I'm a mechanic or gardener. And.. It's peeling off in big chunks!! Bye-bye Helen. NEVER AGAIN! Read Less

Don’t waste your money here. I went for the last time last night. Their service has gone down continually. They asked me 5x if I wanted gel nails, each time I said no. Then they roughed up my nail beds like they do for gels, I again repeated “no gels”. I remember thinking back to another time when I caved and got gels, because the owner was badgering me. This time I got irritated and said no gels, stop roughing my nails. The owner/manger TU told me to “relax.” My nails look terrible as the nail beds are scratched up. Polish is bumpy. The very shy man who did my toes was a perfectionist and I tipped him so. So many other nice nail salons, please spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Read Less

My friend and I got pedicures on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. The staff was extremely nice, and I even asked if I could get gel taken off because I had extra time - it was quick and inexpensive without making my nails feel horrible! The pedicure was awesome ! Their chairs were comfy and relaxing, and their foot scrub/lotion used smelled so nice. Highly recommend this place for their basic pedicure. Read Less

I was frantically looking for a good place to go and I stumbled across to Helen Nails & Spa. Loved my experience here. I came with no appointment and was helped quickly by staff here. Staff gave me a white gel mani with oval nails. They were all super friendly and fun to talk to. I get constant compliments on my nail design. Five stars for sure. Very poor job, they half step so they can quickly get done, my toes nails where all different shapes and it looked like a 5 year old polish them, they use alcohol instead of letting you wash you hands so my nails where polished with cotton strands still on them! I've been going to Helen's Nails for the past 7 months straight, every two weeks to get fills and remove old nails, get new sets, etc. I never once had an issue until the last 2-3 times. I looked past the rude behavior from the entire staff because they always did my nails very well and were never too rough. Well during the last 3 times I've gone I've had the same lady. I'm sure some of you who go a lot know who she is, she's there on Sundays and she's very rude. She did my last 3 fills and I swear this woman must be a sadist because she'd file with the drill without even a second thought. The first time I went to her I assumed she was new so I forgave it, the second time I let her know she was hurting me and she kinda tried to be careful when drill filing down my gel polish and drilling into my actual live nail and skin. The third time? Forget it, as soon as the receptionist paired me with her I decided maybe 3rd time is a charm and went along. Nope. Still drilled into my live nail bed and skin and I eventually just sat there saying "Ow, ow, OW!" Needless to say I did NOT tip her the last time and normally I tip extremely generously ($20 for a $30 fill in every time) because I liked their work and my nails already looked great. So yesterday I decided to get my fake nails taken off but I used a home way to do it because I couldn't bear the thought of this lady trying to take off my fake nail and probably thinking she could sand it right off and probably drill into my real nail for all I know. Come to find out I have a fungus growing on my pinky nail on my right hand. YAY! I will never be coming back to this nail salon. I knew she was filing way too close on my real nails and I kind of assumed they weren't the cleanest place but this confirms it. And mind you, I've been going to salons for fake nails for years and years, I've never once had fungus on my damn nails. Now off to the doctor to get officially diagnosed with a fungal infection in my nail and hopefully some antibiotics will get rid of this gnarly green/yellow stuff on my nail bed. Don't go here. If you are not a regular....you do not get fair to good service. Both the man and the woman working there are rude! You are not greeted upon arrival and if they don't want to service all of your needs....you get told we are closing soon as they wait on a regular client of theirs to get the same additional service that I asked for when I got there. I got a fill in with a poor paint job. Please don't waste your time....take your money elsewhere. There are plenty of new establishments off of Main street. Read Less

I went to Helen's for the first time 4/14 and got a full set of nails. One broke in less than a week. I went back 4/30 to get a pedicure and nail fill and got cut during the pedicure. Needless to say I left without a fill. Horrible experience won't be back Read Less

We were told our wait for 2 fill ins would be 30 minutes. After an hour, I asked how much longer and she told me 15 minutes and didn't even apologize. When I got my fill in, the nails were completely chopped off without him asking me how long I wanted and are now shorter than I've ever had. My friends purse was also taken from her station while she was sitting there and moved behind a wall out of her sight. This is not okay. I do not reccoment coming here and I am never a person to leave a bad review but I could not go without saying something to at least warn others. Read Less
