I have tried to give Hollywood nails in Ossian, IN more than one opportunity to redeem themselves. I'm done trying!! I will never go back again after tonight. A friend and I went in to get a pedicure. I have had many pedi's in the past, and this was the first one in my life that I did not get to soak my feet and sit  in a massage chair. I was very disappointed! The lady was working on my toes as I sat in a chair and lifted my foot up to her on the other side of the nail table..very uncomfortable! Not to mention, my friend was behind me waiting to get her toes done after me because there was only one nail tech. I asked her if I would be sitting in the massage chair soon, and she seemed mad  stating, 'I ask you if you want just paint or pedicure, and you said paint'. I thought she was asking me what type of nail polish I wanted, because I wanted gel. I should have known something was wrong at that point, because on my last visit she seemed upset that I wanted shellac on my toes. She even stated that no one ever wants shellac on their toes.  Very long story short, my 'pedi' was done within 25 minutes (and I had shellac on as I walked in the door which was never soaked off), I was in pain as she was drilling my toes, she never touched my cuticles, and the polish looked worse than when my 9 year old paints them.. Polish on my skin and cuticles! Shellac pedis usually last a long time, unless the gel is on your skin and cuticles. Also, I waited for my friend to get done and she was wincing in pain and kicking her other foot as the lady said, 'sorry I have to make this straight, I'm almost done'. I Will never go back, EVER!!! Visiting from California, and decided to get a pedicure. Pretty basic...no sugar scrub, paraffin, or hot stones. My judge of a good pedicure though is how well they paint the toes. I can't stand when they leave some on your toes , or don't "clean-up" the foot well enough so the paint looks good, or if the polish chips after a couple of days. So far, mine looks great. Family owned. The husband did my pedi, and his HS son painted my daughter's nails. $25 for pedi, and $6 for just the polish (my little one). Previously have 4 stars, but just looked at my daughter's nails, they don't look very good...nail polish all on her toes, not a smooth look to polish. Read Less
