I have gone here for several years...not a lot, but maybe 3-4 times a year being that it’s quite a distance from my home, but I’ve always been happy until last week. My natural nails are hard and this incompetent nail tech used the rectangular file/buffer across my nails SO HARD that she obviously took layers off. I had a shellac manicure. I’ve had many. Never have I ever had them chip within 12 hours. By day 3 numerous nails were chipped. My nails feel paper thin WITH SHELLAC ON THEM and I am super pissed. Worst service ever! Was in today to get my nails done and it was awful! FIRST: I walk in and a woman starts yelling “why?!” Because she was going to have to do my nails. Unprofessional. So the gentleman there ended up doing them. SECOND: I asked for a round shape and they were so chunky even the lady at Walgreens said they looked bad. The way the acrylic was put on made it seem like my nails have been done for a week. Not to mention when I asked for something to be fixed with them it was done half assed. I've been going to this place for awhile, but ever since they expanded I've stopped going and instead going somewhere else. They act like they don't care about customers anymore. They just want you in and out as fast as possible. Plus, they would let one person work on me and then pass me to another person for something else. I took my 2 sisters and daughter to have a girls day. My two sisters had never had a pedicure. I set an apt. A week prior. When we were getting our pedicures it felt rushed. And the BEST part which would have been the massage was TERRIBLE!! There wasn't even a massage.. they rubbed in the lotion on my calves and didn't even touch my feet or rub what so ever!!! Which is 90% why I get the pedicures in the first place. there was an air bubble in one toe and a spot that wasn't painted on another toe. I normally go to a salon in my side of town but they have done a terrible job the last couple of times I've been there and I saw Allure nails while I was out and about shopping, honestly? I came in for a gel manicure on a Saturday before a wedding and the place was pretty busy. However, I was served right away and was pleased with the quick service and my manicurist's attention to detail. In fact, my manicure lasted over 3 weeks! First time coming here. I asked for a colored powder like I had gotten back in California. They said they had it and i picked out my color and the girl starts doing this dip thing. I figured "ok this is new" and as I kept watching, it was getting really thick and bubbled shaped. I was thinking maybe it'll get thinned out when she uses the files. After she told me to go wash my hands I looked at them and it wasn't at all what I wanted. I felt so bad wasting her time and asked ...if they could thin them out, she tried and it still wasn't what I liked. After talking with another there, we realized it was a miscommunication on my part for what I was asking for. I was looking for sculpted nails and they didn't have the tools or anyone experienced in doing it there. I offered to pay for her time because by now it's been an hour. They soaked off the work done and I got a different girl, Lisa, to do sculpted nails for me. They came out looking great. They ended up not charging me for the first girls time and I asked before I left if they were sure cause I totally wasted her time and product and they said it's fine. Overall, the atmosphere was very sketchy and very fast paced; I felt nothing more than the $38 I was laying. The lady doing my nails was very rough and didn't understand what I wanted. I asked for the "coffin" shape and she said it was $10 more. While shaping, she kept doing them slanted and not straight across, and she said, "I don't know how to do coffin." Rushed work she saw inclusions in my nail and just let it go. Mediocre. She was distracted too busy running salon and trying to get me in and out. I get I was a walk in but don't rush your work just to earn a extra dime. Lost a potential customer. Will never give them my money again. Should have left her no tip but I'm not that vindictive. My nails are a necessity. I've been taking care of my nails on/off over 25 years. During those years I've been to dozens of nail salons. When I find a spot I really like, I'm a true patron (unless life challenges makes me move). At Allure, I was attracted by their warm greeting, hospitality, skills, and friendly atmosphere. I just went there a couple of weeks ago and had shellac applied to nails and toes and had paid the same price for months and then the last time I went there they charged me $10 more for exact same service. Clean place and they take appointments but I had a few issues with a pedicure here:1- limited color selection2- pedicure was half what I expected. This is my go to salon every two weeks for my shellac manis, and pedis. Anytime I have an issue and come back in a few days, they offer to fix it for me. They get new shellac colors frequently and I love that they always shape my nails exactly how I want. Never had any issues with them ever! I bring all my girls here. Read Less

I just moved to this area. After reading all of the reviews I decided to give this place a try! In the middle of the day on a Tuesday the place was decently busy but nothing crazy. I was asked to sit at the pedicure chair.. I waited 30 minutes for someone to finally come over. She lightly scrubbed the bottom of my feet and walked away... Another 19 minutes later she comes back and cuts a few of my cuticles then drains the water!!! Keep in mind it's been a good 6 months since my last pedicure! My poor feet needing a deep scrubbing and a lot of detail work.. My husband would have done a better job. After a quick massage she painted my toes. Allure is great and they're CLEAN. The welcome me by name and they get to know you. Their prices are a couple dollars cheaper I believe then the places in the mall. They take walk-ins but I try to make an appointment.I've gone to almost every technician at some time or another but Maeve is incredible. She listens and does exactly what you want and her nail art skills are far superior to any I've seen in this area. I recommend making an appointment with her, she books up. I've never had a bad experience, but there are certain people I like better than others, as with everywhere and everyone has their own strengths.I have been coming here for over 2 years, previously I have gone to 5+ comparable salons and also a couple higher end salons also that have nail technicians. I get a mix of Shellac, Acrylic sets and pedicures. I've refereed numerous friends here and they're all clients now as well. Highly recommended. Read Less

I had stopped by the salon just a few days ago to get a manicure since it's just been so long since I've gotten one! I was in the area and wanted to give it a try.    I have to say, the staff greeted me and taken me right away as I came in the door. My first impression of the salon was that it was very clean, busy, and visually attractive. The woman that did my nails had done it swiftly and was very friendly and outgoing. She had done a great job! My nails were very neat and the polish had lasted me about 2 weeks. I'm giving two stars because my pedicure was ok but my manicure was AWFUL. The woman doing my nails was in a huge rush but I'm not sure why because it was not busy. I was done at least 15 minutes before my friend who was getting the same thing done. She was way too aggressive with the cuticle cutter and made me bleed twice. It was pretty painful and now three days later I have weird scabs on two my cuticles. I thought they should have given me some sort of discount for something like this but all I got was "sorry." I don't think she really understood how to use the cuticle cutters correctly or that she had actually hurt me. The polish also chipped within a day of my manicure. I will not be going back. Love this place. I had a horrible experience at a shop in South Bend and came to this shop... Cat did my nails EXACTLY how I asked. She did a perfect gel overlay with a matte finish on all of my nails (except my ring fingers, because I had her do a "glitter nail"). Very friendly. Very Clean. Not the cheapest, but not expensive. Just like at home in CA - my girl was from Orange County!   Kat did a great job on my pedicure and also repaired my one gel nail perfectly.  They had an exact match to my previous polish so you couldn't even tell.  Also good color selection of toe polishes too.  Would totally come back when I need a pedi in michiana. This place is great! I've been getting my nails done for more than 15 years, and have always just jumped around from place to place, never really totally impressed with any one of them. I did fall in love with Best Nail Spa, but once they expanded into their new space, their customer service went down the drain. So, it was time to start searching for a new spot. I had come here a few times before this past weekend, but the experience I had on Friday was so good, I won't go anywhere else. I was lucky enough to have the owner wait on me, and you could tell. He took his time, and cared about his work. I was a bonehead and chipped my big toe the very next morning by whacking it at the grocery store--I went back, and he fixed it, no questions or money asked. I will definitely be back! Read Less
