I debated a long time about whether or not to write this review because I desperately wanted to like this place. From their other reviews online and their website, this salon seemed perfect, exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't so positive. As it advises on the page here and on their website, I called ahead for an appointment. I arrived a few minutes early but just took a seat and hung out for a little while. The three ladies present were discussing what they all were going to do for lunch...which lasted for the duration of both my manicure and pedicure. I didn't actually have anyone seat me and start working on my nails until over 15 minutes past my appointment time. One of the nail tech's children was there, which I typically wouldn't mind; he wasn't being too loud or running around or anything, but he was playing with the tools, etc. on the tables and kept complaining to his mom that he wanted to go. I totally don't blame the kid. I mean, I wouldn't want to hang out while my mom did someone's nails, but his behavior didn't exactly improve my experience, let's just say. I was just trying to have a relaxing afternoon and get my nails done for the first time in over a year. I also feel like the child asking to go made my nail tech rush, which I'll elaborate on a bit. The reason why I think my nail tech was in a rush was because of the poor paint job done on some of my nails. All except my pinky toes looked fine - there was nail polish around my nail on my toe...not cute...Furthermore, there was nail polish all over my cuticles on my fingernails, which was really disappointing because I even do a better job than that on my own nails. In the day following my manicure, I actually had several hangnails that resulted from how my cuticles were cut. I could tell that they weren't naturally-occurring because the skin was cut/peeling up in the direction the nail tech cut my cuticles with the scissors. They were also deeper and closer to the nail than any hangnail I've had before. It was actually a little painful - not cool. In retrospect, I also realized, to my dismay, that the cuticle scissors still had a previous client's cuticle skin, etc. on them when they were used on me. I didn't realize it until after the fact in the salon, and I really didn't want to make a scene, so I didn't say anything, but the realization completely grossed me out. I believe this was done accidentally because the nail tech was in a hurry, not because she didn't care. This whole experience was really just a bummer. I really wanted to like this salon. They have really great prices and are in a really convenient location. Even without the aforementioned issues, the ladies there spent the whole time discussing their lunch and didn't even act like they wanted to be there, which really brought down the mood for me. After this experience I will not be back, but I hope that I'm the exception and the rest of you have better luck than me. Read Less
