I had a wonderful first experience at the nail guru yesterday. I walked in the door and was immediately greeted by a smiling face. He asked me what I needed done and to sign my name. Then right after he had me sit down and started to soak my old acrylic nails off first. His name was Tom and he was so nice and very gentle on my skin and fingers, at other salons I've been to they try to rip the old nails off and it hurts he did not do that. He made sure I was relaxed during my apt as well. He went over each nail with great detail until it looked to his satisfaction. He even nipped my cuticles and cleaned off all my fingers when he was done to get the stuff off and he applied cuticle oil when he was done. He did not rush or hurry but he also did not take forever. The salon was very well decorated with real flowers all over and new looking furniture. They also had a large selection of polish. I loved my experience and I will be back. Thank you so much. Kathy the owner and all her staff are truelt a blessing! She is so sweet and compassionate even though she gets people that are rude to her! Wow! This place is wonderful!!! The store is clean and the staff are all so welcoming! This was a special 'girls day' and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! My mom and I where looking for a new naIL place and hadn't had any luck anywhere until we went here! We went at the busiest time and still only waited 10-15 minutes. They went above and beyond what we expected and our nails look AMAZING and they didn't charge us out of this world for them either! Also spoke to us throughout the process instead of the small talk we get at other places and they were hilarious! I would highly recommend this place! Read Less

AWFUL experience. Went to get nails done for the bridal party. The bride got a pedicure, the lady burnt her with hot water multiple times, almost made her bleed when she was removing dead skin bc she did it in one place for too long, scrubbed the tops of her feet till they were blood red. Then the bride got her nails done and spent over $50 & was being charged for things she didn't even know. The owner does nothing but pressure you into spending more money. Absolutely terrible. Then after the terrible service and pedicure still made the bride pay for it. Would not recommend unless you like getting yelled at and scammed. Read Less

Extremely rude. I had never gotten jewels on my nails before and so I was asking the pricing. She was not clear and yelling at me when telling me and having an extreme attitude. I work customer service and that is not how you treat your customers. You don't yell at them no matter how you may feel because they are your customers. Especially when trying find out some information. Then she wants to talk out loud to other customers about it. First time here atmosphere is relaxing and calming. Tom is my nail tech today he has been doing nails for over 17 years he is very attentive and gentle I'm loving the way he is politely pushing my feet back in the water.. If I could give this place no stars I would! I went in on Saturday 9/5 to get my nails painted with gel polish and by 9/8 my thumb nail had completely come off and a few of my other nails where starting to peel up. Went back on 9/11 to have them redo them and Kathy said they don't guarantee 2 weeks worth of wear. I have had my nails done many times and it always last at least 2 weeks if not longer. She then tells me to talk to the boss, so I walk over to the boss and He tells me to sit and wait a min, so I sit and wait for like 20 mins. He then calls me over there and asks me what I want him to do, "I said I want them re painted". He says "free of charge"? I said "I think that is only fair" and then tells me that it is my fault and that there was nothing that he could do. Really!? Then why make me wait 20 mins just to tell me that? My cousin told me that she went there and showed Kathy a pic of some nails and asked if she could do the design and she said yeah, but when she was done it looked nothing like the pic. So my cousin said something to her and her response was rude. Very unprofessional! I will never step foot in this place again. Read Less

I was being very generous with the 2 stars. The salon is dirty and outdated. They also don't carry many gel nail polish colors. The staff is rude and they seem to be in a hurry. They don't take the time they should on your nails and they pick and choose who they wait on first. If someone comes in that they recognize they will pawn you off on another person so they can work on their prized customers nails. Went there for a first visit back in June 2013 after recieving a personal recomendation.  The pedicure was great and the nail tech was professional and sweet.  I went back in September and received a completely different experience.  The man who did my pedicure watched the TV while he scrubbed my feet and cut my cuticles too close causing me to bleed.  I noticed the salon was not as clean as when I was there in June.  What a dissapointment!  I wish I had asked him to stop at the beginning of the appointment because in the end my feet hurt and it was a waste of time and money. I found this salon on Yelp while on a brief trip to Indianapolis.  This was a special girls bonding pedicure with mom and my half sister that I just met in person two days prior.  I called ahead and Phillip said he could take us three for a pedicure in about 30 minutes.   Kathy, Vivian and Phillip took great care of us and gave us all a great sea salt scrub and perfectly painted toes.  Kathy's the owner and a delightful proprietress.   The place is clean and the service is excellent.  Come, you won't be disappointed! While visiting Indy, my husband and I decided to get him his first pedicure. Being unfamiliar with the area, I looked up "nail salons" on yelp, and this was the highest rated salon close to us.
