If you like your mani/pedi with a heaping side of attitude you will LOVE Lotus Spa and Nails. We went to Lotus Spa to get ready for our sister’s wedding on a Thursday morning. We decided to just get a regular mani/pedi for the sake of time and boy, were they rude about it. The aggressive insistence to upgrade to gel was absolutely obnoxious and disgusting. Every single manicurist told us that our mani/pedi wouldn’t last until the Saturday wedding. ARE YOU KIDDING ME—WHAT KIND OF QUALITY MANICURE LASTS 2 DAYS. In addition, the manicurist who was working on the bride’s nails was curt, passive aggressive and just overall rude. She was on her phone for the entire manicure. She didn’t even turn on the nail dryer for the bride when the mani/pedi was finished. We will never again give our business to Lotus Spa and Nails and advise the Indy community to do the same. I was passing by and stumbled upon this nail salon. When I walked in EVERYONE stared and me and didn’t say a word. I was approach shortly after and I told them I wanted a pedi. The guy told me to pick a color. They didn’t have a good selection at all. I got a FaceTime while sitting in my seat. I answered it and cut the volume down but one of the workers near me told me I needed to take my phone off speaker. She didn’t ask me, she told me! The man never asked me what kind of pedi I wanted. The stones were cold and the towel wrap was cold. I was writing this review as I was getting my pedi. He then sent me to dry and asked if I could pay. I gave him my card and he ran it and gave it back. I sat it down to finish my review and he asked me if I can hurry up and sign the receipt. I don’t know why he rushed me. I gave him NO tip and he grabbed the receipt and balled it up and threw it away. I felt uncomfortable the whole time I was here. They are flat out RACIST! Read Less

I was here with my mother for a mani and a pedi, got the worst service ever! My mom's technician was downright rude. My mom asked her to file her nails in a round shape which she went ahead and made fun of unnecessarily. She was in a hurry to get done and move to the next person and this treatment even when I made a proper appointment before and not just show up. I won't recommend this place ever to anyone! I've been here a dozen or so times and have never had a bad experience! I try to always make an appointment, because if you can, why not? It's pretty easy to schedule appointments online through their website.Today I stopped in after work right at 5 and there was no wait. I was in and out with a new gel manicure in under 40 minutes!The technicians are friendly and will engage in conversation if you're feeling it, or just leave you alone. I was nervous about going to a new nail salon but I am so happy I picked Lotus! I loved that I could make an appointment online and I was seen quickly even though I was a few minutes late. They have plenty of color options for the gel mani and they did an amazing job-I'm obsessed! The staff is super professional as well as skilled. This is one of my favorite places to get a manicure. They do exceptional work, and they take their time to do so. I've never felt like my experience was rushed just because someone new walked in the door, which has been my experience at several other local salons. Good: They were able to get my group of eight in on a Saturday evening with very short notice. In and out in under an hour and a half, with everyone getting either a basic manicure or French. At $14 for a basic, the price is right. Everyone's nails looked good.Bad: Could not get a receipt printed because I paid in cash? Only credit or debit cards will get you a receipt. This is a problem as I was using school funds for an off-campus program and will somehow need to prove payment for reimbursement. They hand wrote the "receipt" on the back of a business card. The technician also only put base coat on one of my hands. Ugly: Lots of crusty old bottles of polish. My cuticle started to bleed and my technician did absolutely nothing about it but apologize. I get that that happens, I wasn't hurt or anything. But my nail just filled with blood until she put hand lotion on me and I got to wash my hands. It kept on bleeding though and she just painted over it! Not sanitary!! Overall eh experience, will not return. Read Less

This place is great! I've been a few times as a walk in customer and they've always fit me in and they've always done an excellent job. I brought a high school girl who had never had a manicure and they added beautiful floral art to her nails as a gift and she was thrilled! What a sweet addition for her. They have great customer service and make you comfortable. I also love the ambiance with the relaxing music- it's awesome while sitting in the massage chair and having your feet pampered (including a hot stone massage!). I also love the low hanging, modern red light fixtures in the pedicure area and the cow pattern on the chairs. It's in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Read Less

I've been going to Lotus Spa and Nails since they opened 5 years ago for my mani & Pedis.  This summer I went to Mingh for microbladding of my eyebrows.  I've flown back into town for my touch up from Las Vegas, today.  Worth the travel. I highly recommend Lotus if you're looking for s new nail salon. I live downtown and there aren't a lot of options so I drive to Broad Ripple. Sometimes there's a wait but that's to be expected anywhere. They do take call ahead appointments so you always have that as an option. Everyone that works there is always nice and helpful. I would like to see some more or different colors for a gel manicure but it gets the job done. I don't splurge on a pedicure too often but they always do a great job with pedicures too! I like coming here. It is very clean and they have a lot of colors to choose from. They do a nice job on my nails. I have brought pictures of nail art I liked and they are always willing and able to do it. The atmosphere was pleasant but I really wish that they spoke English cause I can't understand what they are talking about or they pretty much just ignore you the whole time you're there. The only nail place I enjoy going to.  I always get a gel mani and I typically never make appointments and they almost always can get me in right away. I like to get in and get out and they do a great job that (probably because they're always busy).  I rarely get a long service so I don't have an opinion on the quality of something other than a gel mani.  Only downfall, there was one time I had an appointment with my sister and it took 20-30 minutes to get us seated.  We then had one nail tech working on us both as the same time, she just kept going back from one seat to the next.  My sister will never go back, but I still really like their service. I recently moved to the Indianapolis area, and I am looking for "the one" when it comes to nail salons. If you are a frequent nail salon visitor, you know what I mean- the right salon is important. :) What I enjoyed about this salon: -You have the ability to book appointments online, including a time estimate of how long each service would take.-The salon is very clean and well kept.-Pleasant staff, who brought me back promptly for my appointment.Why I probably won't be visiting again:My $60 signature mani and pedi (not including a $10ish tip) has now chipped on every nail.... within 24 hours of my visit. I am not normally one to write a review or complain but I was REALLY put off and upset by the service I received recently. I have been getting a full set of nails every other year for the past 20yrs. So I know what is expected when I get my nails filled. I had a full set put on 2 weeks ago, I went to get them filled yesterday and asked for them to be shortened. I was not asked how short I wanted my nails, they were just cut down to next to nothing and the fill was half done.... Only the nail portion was filled, not the tips, 2 of my nails were missing part of the tips because they were cut to short. And I was left to feel like that is normal and that they were ok to let me walk out of there looking like that. When I voiced my concern I was told that having the tips filled was an extra service and that I had to tell them I wanted my tips filled. Its the type of nail I have why should I ask for a service that should be provided? As soon as I left I reached out to a few friends who also get their nails done ( at other locations ) and they agreed with me that NEVER have we EVER had to voice that we wanted our tips filled with a nail fill. He was kind, detail-oriented, and made me feel like I was his #1 priority during the entire appointment. This was one of the best pedicures I've ever had. My highlights: 1) I LOVE the ability to easily book your appointment online! Farewell man's feet. Farewell, hack job toenails and foot calluses. Hallelujah for my fourth pedicure-ever. Thank you to my partner-in-crime, Joanna B, for this sweet treat! $26 and my toes/toenails are reborn. A few things that stood out during my 45-60 minute visit:-great ventilation - aka my eyes weren't burning and I nearly fell asleep in my massage chair -huge selection of colors-pedicures include polish removal, foot scrub, hot stone mini massage and painting -there are 10-12 massage chairs- great spot for group dates/lady outings-call ahead to make an appointment (note: they are open seven days/week)-they also offer waxing of brows, bikinis, etc.PS: how nice is it to have someone else cut your toenails?
