I was a walk in. It was my first time there a couple days ago and I love it, this will be my new nail salon! Le is the owner, she did a fantastic job on my long nails! She's very nice and very professional. She told me that she was born in the United States, she has owned this salon for 10 years, and she's been doing nails much longer than that. I have been going to City Nails for a lot of years, and will not go anywhere else. They treat you like you are special for the time they are working on you and after. I made an appointment here a week before I needed to get my nails done. The lady told me she was not sure if she would be closed. I told her that if that is the case, then I would much rather need to go somewhere else because I did not need a "maybe" but a sure guarantee of an appointment. I explained that the following day after my appointment I would not be available due to another appointment. She then told me there would be no problem. Then the day of the said appointment she texts to tell me she would not be available until the following day, which is the day I am not available. Hands down, best mani/pedí I have ever received, anywhere.... I was amazed. No one has ever spent hour and 45 minutes in me just for a Pedi.  The gentleman was so detail oriented and was actually checking the two feet to make sure the French Pedi was symmetric and matching. I can honestly say I've never written a bad review about any company ever.... until today. I chose to stop in City Nails on a Saturday for an acrylic fill and a pedicure. The prices are more reasonable than most but now I see why. Don't get me wrong, the lady who did my nails was very polite and attentive but the overall service and atmosphere I cannot appreciate. Before even starting, this place has dead roaches and beetles in the crevices of everything. I turned around during my pedicure and saw about 6 lying underneath an outlet with dust over them.. I got there a little before noon and was told I'd be helped in 5 minutes, I waited almost 40 minutes before even being seated. Once seated, There was more waiting and the line of guests behind me started adding up, she proceeded to tell all of us the same thing. She finally started doing my pedicure and it was extremely aggressive and lacking steps from a usual pedicure (I've been getting these same services for years). She painted my toes this off white color (their color selection is lacking HEAVILY as well) even though I wanted white. My toe polish chipped as soon as I got in my car. The acrylic fill looks nice but the polish smeared as soon as I got back home and I even sat under the dryer for 15 minutes!! Plus my feet were "dry" while she was working on my nails. To top it all off, I left the salon at 2:45!!!! I've never sat in a nail salon so long in my life, let alone have this bad of a service performed. These two services cost me $60! I appreciate the nail techs professionalism however, this was the worst nail salon experience I have ever had :/. I visited City Nails for the first time today after reading Yelp reviews for at least a dozen of nail salons in Indy. I had an overall positive experience and will share the positives and the very few negatives I experienced below.The pricing is very reasonable and in fact slightly lower than some of the other nail salons in Indy. City Nails offers prices that really can't be complained about, especially if you compare their prices to other salons in the city. The selection of polish colors was not the largest I've ever seen in a nail salon, but there were plenty to choose from. I had a specific color in mind, and had several shades to choose from in multiple brand names including Opi, China Glaze, and Essie. The customer service was above and beyond. Lee greeted me by name as soon as I walked in the door (mind you, it was my first time here). She made me feel right at home, and helped me find several shades of the color I was going for to choose from without me even asking for help. She was super friendly and personable and greeted every customer by name that walked in the door while I was there. The quality of my acrylic manicure was great, especially considering the affordable pricing. I did notice once I had left that the shaping on one of mythumbs was slightly off, but it's not noticeable unless you're really inspecting them closely. The only negative comment I could share about City Nails is regarding the salon itself. The interior is pretty dated and could use some love. For example, there were noticeable stains on the carpets, the couches in the waiting area are at least 10-15 years old, and the wall art looks like it's from the 90s. In my opinion, the affordability and quality of the manicure itself makes up for the lack in interior and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend giving City Nails a visit if you're looking for a nail salon in Indy and I would absolutely return in the future for services! Read Less

This is my 3rd time to City Nails.  It is clean and well-lit.  The owner/technicians are upbeat and seem to have a good time.  I've had OPI nails in the past but tried gel this time.  I am now almost a month away with no chips or marks of any type.  My nails for an extended vacation looked perfect everyday. Amazing! The service was wonderful and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They worked hard to give us the perfect nails, and they are genuine and made for a great evening. This place is amazing. I called a couple of days ago and was hoping to get in sometime before the weekend for a mani/pedi. They were pretty booked, but were extremely accommodating and were able to squeeze me in! I'm so glad they did. The staff is so friendly and the facilities were really nice. I was running a few minutes late and the employees were so nice about it. They greeted me by name upon entry and weren't concerned at all, and they genuinely seemed so excited to see me. I'm a first time customer and was already impressed. I chose my colors from a wide selection of polishes and then was treated with prime pedicure spa treatment. It was the full works; Their massage chairs were fantastic and I don't even know the names of all the tools she used on my feet, but whatever they were, she worked miracles with them.  Additionally, there were two other women in at the same time as me and conversation between everyone flowed freely and the time was quite enjoyable. I proceeded to the manicure portion of my appointment and was very impressed with that as well. Their work is great, and their customer service is truly amazing. Well bummer...... I loved this place... But the last 6 days have not been able to get in. Tried on a Thursday and an hour prior to closing weren't taking any more walk ins. Then tried calling all day Monday with no answer, verified I had the hours correct via the wed site. (Mon- Sat 10-6:30) went there at 5pm and closed. Hours posted say closed Monday. T-sat 10-6:30. Sun 12 -4 ish. Well shucks... No appointment again. Tried calling a couple times Tuesday, no answer. Went again at 5:00. Sign says closed. Bummed. But on to find a new salon. Read Less

I've been here 3 times so far since I moved to Indy and so far this is the best Nail Salon I've been to. Sandy is the best! She gives a great manicure, does an amazing job painting and she's super sweet! My gel manicures never chip and last over two weeks. If you come in as a walk-in be prepared to wait a little while... My mentee and I decide to have a girl spa day the day before Valentine's Day. She recommended this location and the reviews on Yelp we're not that bad so I said why not. We got there around 3 p.m. and it was only one person ahead of us however there are three staff persons and I'll assume we're already working on people. I wait was about an hour but it was totally worth it. They apologized profusely about the wait .  I appreciated that . But I was in no rush . I definitely will be coming here again. This is mainly because I like the way the male manicurist worked on my cuticles. Usually I hate them to be cut because manicurist are usually very aggressive. However he was very gentle and not only was there no pain but there was no redness or irritation. They usually never happens once I get my cuticles cut. Are three workers we're very friendly very personable and they really took care of their regular clientele. They knew all the regular client names, children's names and even gave cookies to the kids. I wanted to check out this nail salon. Sandy did my manicure. I got the gel done. I'm pretty happy with how long the gel lasted. It didn't start chipping a little bit after two weeks. If you are looking for a good place to get gel nails I highly recommend checking this place out. Sandy was great and we chit chatted about our life! Only reason 2 stars v 1 is because the polish color selection and nice massage chair.Will not return; $55 for deluxe mani pedi and didn't seem like anything but basic. Sloppy work, massage and callous removal a joke. Finally, dryer is supposed to shut off once dry, but less than 10 min later my nails are already ruined because they weren't dry. I am a huge fan of pedicures and I've had quite a few. But sitting in a chair awkwardly for 30 minutes having one done isn't my idea of fun. That's why I love City Nails, all the ladies were super friendly and talkative. Now I can't recall who did my nails but she didn't pry and the conversation flowed nicely. There was a bit of a wait but I didn't mind, nor did I have anywhere to be.Friendly, super friendly staff. They have conversations with you!
