NEVER AGAIN. Lowered my previous 2017 rating after yesterday 4/13/18 from 5 to 2 stars. I waited over 2 hours to be served along with 18 other women. Some sat on the floor, some stood where they could. Many left when closing time came, and nobody had ever got serviced, and I left also after 9pm. They raised the prices $5 & $10 on every service, posted a new price list on the wall, and had just recently remodeled and got new stations & furniture. I took a Lyft there yesterday at 7 when I got there they informed me they were closing early cause of the storm. I understood disappointed I stepped out standing there with no where to go I call my husband before I call another Lyft. The man that told me they was closed stick his head out the door and asked what I wanted I told him full set he said come in. I sit down he asked me why I ain’t call first in all honesty it was clearing up so I’m thinking why would I. He start my nails then ask can he eat i was fine with that. You can't beat BR for the price or for the quality. I've been coming here for about 3 years now. I can never decide on a color and Andy is always helpful in helping me decide. I would not recommend BR Nails if you are in a hurry as it is very popular (for good reason). In fact I made an appointment and still waited for 30 minutes. I've been coming to BR Nails for a couple of years now and have never left disappointed. The last time I stopped in I decided to try the dip powder. I brought a couple of pictures with me and was told that Kelly would be my best bet for what I wanted done, which was a soft, natural ombré. Watching her work, you could tell she's really into her art - and she's good at it, to boot! She took $5 off because she wasn't 100% pleased with the result, which was awesome customer service even though I didn't notice a single flaw.The technicians have always taken care of me, even on my off days when I walk in not feeling the most sociable. I've never had issues with their service or their prices, which are hands down the best in Indy. You may have to wait anywhere from 10-30 minutes, which you really should have a feel for as soon as you walk in the door, but making an appointment will cut your wait time down. (i.e. Don't stroll in at 2PM on a Saturday with no appointment and 10 people ahead of you, and get rude with the technicians for your poor planning.) Definitely 5/5 stars for these guys! Read Less

Just to preface, I am an extremely picky person, not to mention a slight clean freak. Oh my gosh, this place is amazing! I went with my  sister and a close friend that had visited once before and raved about it to us. Only me and the friend got stuff done, she got a mani, and I a pedi. Both of our experiences were so great! I have nothing but good things to say! Not only was the service amazing quality, but everybody there was so incredibly nice. The vibes in there were really great lol. We made like 3 new friends, and I'm almost positive that it was because everyone was in such a good mood because the experience is just that great. The pedicure was incredibly relaxing and for a crazy low price, you get the whole nine! The people working there and extremely professional and definitely know their craft. They use cleaned utensils every time they have a new client, they disinfect the little foot jacuzzi for every new client, etc. I was very skeptical of getting a pedicure for a long time but now that I've visited here, I'm definitely coming back, regularly!! I love BR Nails! Tony and the staff are great. Although the wait times are sometimes long, i never leave disappointed in my nails. The only time I left somewhat unhappy was when they forgot to do a top coat on my toes which is my fault for not noticing. Tony and his staff are hilarious too. I want to start out by saying, that I am very particular about nail salons and honestly BR Nails is above par. I would 10 out of 10 recommend BR Nails to anyone that needs their nails done well. From pedicures to shellac the employees here know how to get the job done. This was my second trip to the salon and it seems that it must never disappoint. Not only do they do a great job the staff is always pleasant and friendly, which is a relief from other nail salons in the area. In addition to this my shellac lasted 3 weeks and did not end up chipping at all through the time before I ended up having to take the polish off. The proximity to Butler and the amount of restaurants in Broad Ripple make this the perfect location for a ladies' day out. When making an appointment I have had great experience with Tony and Kim, but I am sure everyone at BR Nails does an outstanding job. I personally like to jump around from nail salon to nail salon but after visiting this salon, I think I will stay put for a while! One thing that I would recommend is to make an appointment so you are not waiting in the long line of walk ins, I clearly am not the only person who has recognized the quality of this salon. I will have to say that the first time I was there even though I did have an appointment I did end up waiting still another 20 minutes till a nail technician was free but it was worth the wait. This was the only downside with my visit and clearly since I have returned it wasn't a huge game changer but do plan on allotting extra time in your day in case this happens to you. Usually problems with cleanliness and the lacking color selection are seen, but none of these regular issues have been a case while I have frequented this establishment. Another wonderful thing about BR Nails is that the parking lot is large and there are always places to park with ease. Prices usually run about $25 for shellac/gel and $25 for a pedicure and with my experience with other nail salons in the area these prices are very reasonable. I LOVED my first visit here yesterday. I am new to the area, and am looking for a new nail salon. I had tried one other salon and had been very unimpressed with my manicure and pedicure, so I headed to BR Nails which came highly recommended by my neighbors.I called around 3:30pm yesterday on the off chance they had an opening that same evening-  and they were able to give me a 6pm appointment which was great! I was taken back promptly ~6:05, and my gel mani took about 35 minutes. I was super pleased with the color selection of gel polishes. My manicurist was awesome- great attention to detail and very pleasant. Hands down, one of the best manis I have ver had! My go-to for pedicures and gel manicures in Indy. Pedicures are $25 and include an exfoliating rub AND a hot stone massage.Gel/shellac manis are also $25 ($5 for gel removal). They have tons and tons of OPI gel colors to choose from. Every manicurist I've has done a spectacular job--very precise and never rushed, despite how busy the salon might be.The only downside is there is usually a wait, even on a weekday afternoon, but they do take appointments. I came in for a nail removal with manicure with a pedicure. I waited about an hour before I was seated. Partially my fault for not making an appointment which they do honor but yes there's a but, you are seat right away but to soak until someone can take you. Seating at front can be awkward as they have two couches which fills up quickly or have awkward holes since you may end up thigh to thigh to the person next to you. I don't like that a different person did my pedicure then another for the manicure. I soaked my feet in water for 20 minutes before someone came over. I reminded her that I needed my acrylic nails which she noted but did not have my nails soak while I got by pedicure. When I was finished with my toes, I was sat at a table to soak for another 30 minutes which during that time I check my own nails and rubbed some of the acrylic off before a different tech did my manicure. Stepped in thinking I was going to pay $25 for a mani and ended up being $12 plus $3 tip total of $15. :) loved it! BR Nails is a great spot in Broad Ripple. I like going here for their many choices for shellac nail colors. However it can also be overwhelming. Sometimes the wait or time of service can be pretty long. I would go expecting to wait especially on the weekends. I was disappointed that when I picked a gel color for my fingers and asked about a matching color for my toes I was basically just told to look at the wall and figure it out. I was able to walk in on a Saturday morning for a fill-in without having to wait. The gentleman who started my nails complained about my nails being too much work and that next time he would need to upcharge me. This was cool except he brought it up like 3 times (just upcharge me then!). I had polish on my skin and air bubbles in my topcoat, so another gentleman kindly came to fix it after my original tech went to the next customer. He got me out my comfort zone to try a mild version of coffin. I liked it a lot. Very professional and super friendly. I will def l be a repeat customer. I liked the set up of the shop. I took my guys (husband, 8 year old son, and 2 year old son). It was their first mani pedi. The ladies who worked on them were awesome. The woman who worked on my sons treated them like adults and held conversations with them. The guy who worked on me rushed just about everything. My leg and hand massage was rushed. The paint job was good. When cutting my finger cuticles he kept digging until he dug to deep. I got my manicure about a week ago but I'm just writing this review because my finger went from what seemed like a small cut to bruising and discoloration in the area. This is the only nail salon in Indy I trust. I've been to a bunch of them and won't go elsewhere now. The staff is very friendly. I don't recommend coming when you're in a hurry; even when there's no wait it's 2 hours for a pedi and gel mani. They take their time even when they are busy. The quality of their work is second to none and all of the nail techs are equally talented and thorough. The only unsatisfied customers I ever see are those who don't come prepared to wait. Great service! Three of us walked in on a Saturday afternoon without any appointments and were seated right away for pedicures. They were slammed and were only able to start on two of us right away but it was nice having us all together at once. This is my go to nail spot in Indy! Ask for Kelly if your looking for a creative Flair! They always do such a nice job on my nails and the staff is so friendly. One of the perks of BR nails is that they take reservations, which is helpful for the after work or weekend rush. I have made the mistake of not calling ahead before and ended up waiting upwards of an hour. Just make sure to let them know you made a reservation when you arrive! I tend to always get gel on my nails and they have a great selection of OPI colors to choose from. Russian Navy and Bubble Bath are two fan favorites and colors I find myself going back to! May I also recommend the gold "party nail", I-10 is my favorite gold they have and is a great accent for special events... Or a Tuesday for that matter, because why not? Read Less

I had the day off and came in for a pedi. I was greeted and got in right away. They were pretty busy but I had no wait. I loved a few things about this experience. First, I like the massage chairs with my pedicure. As I was getting my toes done, I was able to also have a back massage! Nice touch :)Second, the pedi was not your mamma's pedi, there were hot stones involved and the massage my legs got was also great. I went to BR Nails for tips and a gel overlay. I was charged $40 for this service. I should have done my homework so that I would have realized I was being scammed. They proceeded to pu *gel powder* nails on me which air died and then put a topcoat on which they cured. This seemed wrong to me. After coming home I googled more about gels. They never, ever, come in a powder. They can not air dry. I got traditional acrylic nails with a gel top coat and was charged $15 extra. Please do not make the same mistake I did. Read Less

I've been a client for nearly 10 years. I come in about every 2-3 weeks for a pedicure and fill, or new set as needed.There have definitely been positive changes since the new management took over!Tony is the current tech I prefer for new sets or fills; he is sociable without being annoying and speedy without messing up or hurting you. I have never had any problems with a fill/set he has done, but have had some issues with a couple others. In particular, one tech was asleep and literally _snoring_ on the couch when I arrived and they woke her up to do my nails!!!! WTF?! I should have spoken up about it, but I didn't feel comfortable.For pedicures, Charlie is great and Paul is absolutely awesome- they actually give a lengthy, diligent massage and are super nice guys who make you feel very relaxed. If there's any sort of problem going on with your feet, they notice, explain the ins & outs of it and do their best to correct the issue for you.Price is very competitive/fair/reasonable. As of this review, I pay $15/fill, $25/new set, $30/pedi, but those are, of course, subject to change.I strongly suggest you MAKE AN APPOINTMENT; it is frequently busy here. If you call and schedule, they'll take you before the walk-ins, regardless of when they signed in. I think that is the confusion in the cases of some reviewers here complaining about others being taken before them or feeling like there was "cherry-picking" going on. Those taken ahead probably called ahead; you should too!Most importantly, this establishment is clean; the techs follow the laws and licenses are displayed. I have been to this establisment several times and NOT ONCE did I ever leave happy. They have bipassed me for a person who comes in after - this has happened a couple times. Then I had to sit and wait extra long periods of times even to get one nail fixed and it took 40 minutes because the girl wanted to keep going to do something else. There are a few who are just rude. I wasn't very sure from past experience, but from start to finish I felt as though it was only five minutes. Starting from the moment I entered, even thought they were busy, someone came and greeted me. My nails turned out okay (not great, just okay), but I was mostly disturbed by the service. Although you sign in and are called in order, I was inexplicably passed over for the woman who came after me, meaning I had to wait another 20 minutes for service. I did note that not all the techs do all the same service, but this woman and I were getting the exact same service done, so there was no reasonable explanation for this decision, and none was offered. The woman who finally took me must have been the owner or the manager. Except she was so busy micromanaging the other nail techs that every 5 seconds she stopped working on me to peer over at the others and/or tell them what to do. She got in three separate arguments with her employees (all of which meant she was not doing my nails). To make up for this lack of attention, she was rather rough on my nails, pressing down into the nail beds a little more than was necessary! ouch! One of the other techs also had a young daughter (perhaps 6 or 7). This little girl was certainly not shy, and kept peppering me and other clients with questions. While this didn't bother me (that much), it could quickly border on the ridiculous, especially if your trip for a mani/pedi was to get away from the kids! At no point did anyone tell the little girl to sit still or be quiet, etc. And, again, for all of that, my nails were just okay. For sub-par service and minimal quality, I will not be going back. I started going to BR Nails after receiving bad customer service at OP Nails in Nora. The establishment is clean and relaxing. It is a very relaxing atmosphere with nice sized televisions and plenty of magazines. Every time I go there, I haven't waited more than 5-10 minutes. I highly recommend Tru as your pedicure technician (I am sure she does good manis too but I have only utilized her for pedis). She is young, friendly, pays attention to detail and her pedicures last! Pricing is affordable and reasonable. However, I know a lot of people have complained about the owner (an older woman who you will recognize) who isn't very customer friendly...and doesn't do very good work (I've never had her but I am just sharing with readers what I have heard from friends).
