Wish me or either of the other two women I went with had the sort of experience the rest of you seem to have had! Instead, all three of us are coming out of the experience with uneven, misshapen nails of random lengths with goopy, sloppy paint jobs. Coffin tips and soft square tips are pretty basic, to my understanding, but I suppose if you can't even file a nail straight, that's pretty complex. While we were there, another lady getting a pedi was left forgotten until her footbath overflowed onto the floor, so ours certainly does not seem to be an isolated lack of professionalism--although, I suppose the lack of professionalism should have been obvious from the response to a negative review below calling it "mean" and asking for it to be taken down. That's obviously a much classier response than actually addressing concerns or trying to improve your service. I'm certain there's a few talented nail artists between CK's shops (was similarly unimpressed with the Mishawaka location), but we certainly haven't had the pleasure of meeting them. This place is perfect, after having bad experience after bad experience elsewhere I was prepared for the worst. I told the tech about my wanting my nails done thick and she did them for me just the way I wanted them. She spent a lot of time and attention to detail to make sure my nails were perfect when I left. Love this place, don't think I'll be going anywhere else. Read Less

I was really impressed with how friendly they were, and absolutely loved that!! But on the other hand I came in needing a pedicure. And also asked what their recommendation was on my nails. I had a previously bad paint job done (at a different salon) and asked if they could change that or give me a fill if needed.(I was at my 2 week mark) They told me that I didn't need a fill and just did the polish change. Just the next day I had already felt I needed a fill and on top of e...verything else my total was $80 just for a pedicure and a "polish change." Which I definitely could have received a pedicure and fill for that same cost. I also had showed them an issue underneath my nail and was told "it's alright it is underneath, you can not see it." Would not recommend anyone to go here... the lady doing my pedicure put my sandals on before painting my toes which is totally fine, but she was so sloppy. I was wearing birkenstocks (over $100 sandals) and she got nail polish all over the foot bed by my toes. After the first time she didn't try to fix the problem. She acted like she didn't notice she got clear coat all over my sandals and did the same exact thing to my other foot. She did not even apologize. Now my sandals have permanent marks all over them. I agree with some of the other reviews that the manicures at CK are hit or miss depending on who you go to. In general though, I have found each manicurist to be sort of sloppy (different nails will have different shapes and some often have a bizarre slant). The last straw for me was my last visit and the lack of hygiene I witnessed. I sat down for a manicure and the area was dirty. A pile of filings sat in one corner, used nail files sat in another. The manicurist picked up a just-used file to start filing my nails and I politely asked for a fresh file. He pulled out another used file and when I repeated my request; he said he was out of fresh nail files. I asked him to see if one of his fellow manicurists had one and he finally found a new one. He also re-used the cuticle cutter he had just used with the previous client after only rinsing it with soap and water. I looked up the sanitary requirements for an Indiana cosmetology license after this experience and learned that all tools must be sterilized (generally autoclaved) with more than just soap and water and nail files must also be sterilized if they are reused. Also, the manicure area should be cleaned before moving onto a new client and the manicurist is supposed to wear gloves. None of these things were done and it makes me wonder if the employees are even aware of the proper hygienic procedures for a manicure. When I brought up my concerns over the lack of safety, the manicurist got defensive and asked me if I wanted to continue the manicure. Just had a really great experience at this salon! Super friendly staff, very nice and clean space, reasonably priced, convenient location, and great results. I've tried a few other nail places in the area and this is definitely the best. I was a little disappointed because they don't have the SNS dipping powder in colors. But that doesn't seem to be popular in this area yet and no other salon here has it, so I certainly don't hold it against them. Regardless, this will definitely be my regular nail spot, and I can only hope they get the SNS at some point! Read Less

I don't get manicures often due to having difficulty finding a place that doesn't use old nail polish or I end up with some sort of injury afterwards. I had high hopes for this place. I called ahead and made an appointment. Once I arrived I realized that was kind of pointless they went off the sign in sheet, however I didn't have to wait long. The technician was helpful in assisting me trying something new but I really wish the these nail salons were not eager to break out the drill. I get simple manicures and I don't feel there really is a reason to use a drill except to make their job go faster. I have very thin nails and nail beds. I advised I didn't care for the drill and it is my fault for not being more insistent. The technician was gentle at first but as she moved faster she ended up cutting two fingers. One finger started to bleed and pretty much everything after that stung. A few days later my two fingers are slightly swollen and red around the nail bed. I have been applying Neosporin and they seem to be getting better. The polish was well applied and looks lovely. That being said, I won't be returning. I don't feel a beauty treatment should result in some sort of mini medical care afterwards. Read Less

I was staying in the Hampton heritage circle and went to ck nails based in Yelp recommendation.  I was not disappointed. I got a shellac french mani was perfect and the pedicure was ultra relaxing with hot wax and awesome massage.  The girls were very friendly. I'd highly recommend. Read Less

5 stars from a repeat customer. I work in a salon and day spa so my expectations are high. I am never disappointed when I go to CK. The staff is friendly, quick, efficient, and clean!! I go to both location, granger or Mishawaka.. Whichever is closer for my day which is super convenient! I like to see Charlie or Kim, but not always making an appt sometimes I get who ever is available. But again, I have always been pleased! Read Less

This is a great place of you get one of the good employees.  If not...ugh.  I have had good experiences there, but just took my daughter.  We both got pedicures and she got a set of nails.  My polish was only covering about 70% of my nails and the polish that was on was bubbly.  We had to have someone else replace 5 of the nails another employee put in my daughter.  I am now heading home to replace the polish I just paid for.  Not a happy experience to say the least. I get my pedicures done here and I have always had a great experience.  The team is friendly and very good at what they do.  I dont have the prettiest feet but they make them look as if they are.  I get complimented all the time on how pretty my pedicure is.  I highly reccomend them Read Less

The employees were very friendly and I didn't have to wait long for my manicure, even though I had not made an appointment. I got a shellac manicure, and while the salon experience was good, my manicure unfortunately began to chip after 5 days, even though it is supposed to last 2 weeks. The paint job was not completely even either. My nails looked good, and I did get compliments, but I wasn't entirely pleased. Read Less
