WOW - Read the reviews on this place first!  The owner is rude and yells at the customers and staff.  I walked in with my daughter looking to get our nails done.  My first question was whether or not they had time to take us both for nails, and apparently, that is some secret code to start being rude and telling me I'm angry.  What?  My daughter is going on 17 and just stood there in horror. Is this guy really telling me I'm the angry one?  He stood there yelling in our faces for 2-3 minutes, cutting us off every time I tried to ask or clarify anything, then started yelling that we are angry and that he doesn't want our money.  Don't waste a dollar on this place.  This man deserves to go broke.  He is rude to customers and staff, and other reviews show that he is inappropriate with and around many customers, including children. I've been going here for years. I have difficult feet but they take their time and make my feet feel good and look nice. The owner has a spunky personality and that bothers some people but I find him to be honest and genuine. The place is often crowded so call ahead and make an appointment. I take my girlfriend here every two weeks for the last three months. They do great work, and the owner is a good time. Makes jokes and is straight forward some my not be able to handle it. They are fast,fair, and provide great quality work and deserve nothing less than 5 stars. Read Less

Absolutely rude on the phone. Made me not even want to make an appointment anymore. The woman seemed annoyed from the beginning of the conversation and raised her voice with me when I asked if I could make an appointment for a time during her availability. I am a very calm woman & was completely kind on the phone with her. I ABSOLUTELY did not deserve her disrespect. Just an awful awful impression of how they treat PAYING clients. I chose this place ONLY because the nail tech I like started working there.  It's been fine for a while but yesterday when I was indecisive about an appointment time, he HUNG UP ON ME.  When I called back and chose an appointment, and told him I'd been a client of the tech And it wasn't nice to hang up on people, he told me if I came for my appointment he'd kick me out!  He didn't want my money.  Combine this with crude language, sexual innuendo, less than neat and clean atmosphere, and his toddler throwing temper tantrums and crawling under the tables and chairs, this is not the spa pampering experience most people desire.  I'll miss my nail tech but not the salon and it's owner. I go here twice a month for shellacs and once a month for pedicures. If I get a chip or break a nail before two weeks is up, I simply stop in and someone will fix it. Yes, the owner is brash and loud but if you don't like it don't go there. I go to Hollywood Nails to receive quality nail care at a price I am comfortable with. I have read many of the reviews and most negative ones are regarding the owner's personality NOT the quality of service. If you are easily offended, don't like jokes, or have a boot up your butt, this probably isn't the place for you. Read Less

Horrible custome service!!!! I consider my self laid back and understanding of people, but this place was awful. I walked in with out an appt. In hopes for service. When I was asked what I needed by the man behind the counter. He said well let me see if I have an opening for today. They would close in 2hrs. He said nope nothing. I said " oh no, are you serious?" His answer " no, I just don't want your money! Yes, I'm serious.". WHAT! First and last time here. If he would have handled that differently I would have set an appt before I left. If you like vile language, insecurity displayed by sexual innuendos, and erratic, angry behavior, meet the manager of this place.  Derrick, Lynn and Megan are kind, but the manager's behavior has, undoubtedly, repelled many elsewhere.  I went in to simply have ONE thumb nail filed from the skin to which it was stuck and was creating a tear in the skin, which was their mistake. I was kind and sweet and had a young girl with me.  The manager blew up, filed ALL my nails and angrily yelled that I could have my money back and to never come back again.  I told him I didn't want my money back.  Many people witnessed this.  I highly recommend giving other nail salons your business.  Please note that my reviews are usually very positive. Terrible place.  The owner uses subpar materials so that your nails look good when you leave and don't last as long.  He also cusses like a sailor.  His topics of conversation today was his erection, feeling boobs, and some woman's cleavage showing.  Avoid at all cost.  Put them out of business so a real nail place can come in. I've read the other reviews, but I like the Owner and his Querky attitude. The service is excellent and the attendants friendly and funny. Their work is great! I have diabetes and need to take care of my feet and they take extra care because of that. I've been in other salons that are all business, but prefer the fun and interesting atmosphere of Hollywood Nails. Read Less

Called in for appointment. ..owner was rude..I asked what time he had openings today ...his response was...I don't know your schedule call back when you do...and hung up.I have used this business while he owned in Middlebury for 8 years... owner has issues.Hope you all can find a good salon without a rude owner. HORRIBLE customer service!  I was waiting to get a manicure so I decided to get a polish change on my toes.  While I was waiting for the guy doing my toes, I saw that my big toe nail was broken so I grabbed the nail file and quickly filed it down.....when he came back he yelled at me say don't do that again.  I apologized and then asked if he was joking he yelled and said "NO". I apologized again and said that I meant no offense.....he continued to be upset and lectured me on how I should never do that....after apologizing twice I had had enough and said that's fine, you don't have to do my nails.  He proceeded to yell at me and told me to get out of the salon!  I was so upset and embarrassed!  I will NEVER go back there again!!!!!!! Owner ruins the whole business. The attendants are okay but this owner walks around flashing his fat belly. Walks with no shoes and holes in his socks. If you question anything he berates you. I've seen him tell customers to get out more than once. I think it's best to stay away just because of him. He can't keep help because he's a mean person. This place used to be great! They gave the best manis and pedis for a great price. The shellac manicure would be perfect and last for weeks. But over the last 6 months it has gone downhill fast! The last two shellac manicures didn't even last a week. I went in and had it redone for free, and it still didn't last their "guaranteed" 10 days. The last 4 times I have been there, someone either has called or come in to complain about the quality. My manicure today was sub par and noticed they raised the price from $12 to $15. Cuticles not that great, bubbles in the paint and I watched her thin out the polish. How many times do they thin it out? Do they even keep track? They obviously do something to the shellac because it does not last the way it used to. I used to come here at least twice a month. I will not come here again. I am usually not this harsh but I definitely feel ripped off. I will find a new place. Read Less
