Only had 4 people working on mothers day! Lol Waited over an hour for a pedi that she only spent 20 mins doing. Didn't even ask me what package I wanted and rushed through the whole thing. I arrived at this nail salon and told them I wanted a manicure- they told me to pick a color and led me to a chair/manicure station. After 20 minutes of waiting I asked one of the women working when will my manicure start.... she told me five minutes. I said five more minutes I've already been waiting 20..... she said she didn't notice the time and said ten more minutes..... 30 minute wait for a manicure and not many people there. Next time you should tell a customer for the wait will be half hour or long .... I left not wanting to spend all that time. Won't be going back. Read Less

Don't waste your time and money here! I asked that she not make my nails that long after she cut them and she said no they will only look better like this! I told her I don't like it and she said come back for a fill and she'll cut then down then, I was so upset when I left even the two women right next to me told her that my nails looked horrible. She then put the wrong color on them and when I told her I don't want that she said it's the one that looks the best, they are so thick that all night at work ppl kept telling me how bad they look and they wouldn't have paid for that! One coat of paint was applied then she cashed me out at $60!! It's been less than 24hrs and they have already ripped my shirt because they are NOT filed down and keep catching any fabric I touch. NEVER have I had my nails done so careless and so ugly in all the yrs I've been doing this!! I am so embarrassed to leave my house. 5-star service always! I have been coming here since they opened and it's always been amazing. Wen knows just how I like my nails and Julie gives an amazing pedicure. The rest of the staff is always super friendly to me as well. It's always very clean and very relaxing. The shellac color selection is huge with some even being the color-changing gel. I'm a big foodie person and before going here I've never even heard of Public Kitchen & Bar but I left there very impressed. The service was very on point. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food was just as impressive, as well as the dacor. It definitely set the upscale atmosphere if that's what you're looking for. Big fan of the bar lounge as well. The food: I ordered pasta with broccolini, sausage, and white beans. The beans were do undercooked they were inedible and the pasta was overcooked and bland. I has to send it back and sadly the waitress was neither remotely surprised or concerned but she did take it off the bill. Husband got shrimp scampi and the shrimp were rubbery. Daughter got a lovely baked pasta with vodka sauce. Service: the waiter couldn't figure out where to put our dishes. The décor and the staff get a 5 star rating. The drinks, I ordered an old fashioned, we're made very well. The food did not impress me at all. The NU Sirloin was loaded with grissel. The ribs were good but chewy. I've worked in the restaurant industry and can tell when the cooks are good but have bad product to work with. Worst restaurant I have ever been to! The food was horrible, the service was horrendous, went with another couple and first the drink had something floating in it, next the Cuban stew had raw rice, and we ordered a med rare sirloin and got med well, when told the waiter, he took it and brought it back in less then 2 mins and said the chef told him it was med rare! It was burnt! When got the bill they still charged for the stew that was raw and we didn't eat! Never saw manager through all this, terrible place. Terrible service, the place should close down! Not pleased at all. I asked for a pink and white fill, and what I received was shellac over acrylic nails. Normally when I get them done, they have the cutter tool to refill with a new color...same fresh color, etc. I asked the person doing my nails about this, and she said she will make them look pretty. It's terrible. I can see the old purple in the ends and bottom of my nails, the nails are uneven, and some have scuffs. $33 for that! Read Less

I have been to a lot of nail salons but never found one that I went to for a second visit until "A Nail Salon" on Maysville Rd. I love the people, very friendly, they all treat you like family and go the extra mile. The last time I was there I was just starting to get a cold with a little cough......well the next thing I know Van the owner brings me a cup of water and cough drops and asks me if there is anything else he could get me. I am a people watcher and I have never seen a person leave there unhappy, in fact you will begin to feel like you are family just coming for a visit.
