Not anything like my past experiences there. For the most part everytime has been pretty consistent no matter who did your service. However, today was different and i did tell them what was lacking in my service and nothing was done to change or make it better during my visit. I talked to a guy and told him my concerns and he just said "next time you come we'll have someone different do your mani/pedi". I'm thinking to myself. .. What about the $47 I just spent?! I left and then came home to call and try to speak to the owner. I talked to the same guy that didn't do anything while i was there but i preceded to tell him things i noticed about my nails (natural nails ith polish) that had jagged edges because they weren't buffed good. Anyway, he hung up on me and i called right back, got a different guy (his brother) and again, nothing was resolved other than him telling me to come back out and he'll repolish them himself (and he had attitude also) and that i needed to ask for someone that can give a good leg/foot massage next time. It's like they got so offended that i wasn't over the moon with my services that they just wanted to be done with me. I'll have to go elsewhere next time even though I've gone there, and there only the past 9 years. Terrible customer service when you're unhappy with what they did. Also - he got very defensive when i said that i was going to review my experience on Facebook and Yelp. I've never in my life recieved such HORRIBLE service! Set for an hour and ten minutes. They called 2 people that signed in 15 minutes after me for the same service I was there for. Not only are they rude but have no communication skills at all. Read Less

Always do a great job for a great price. Victor, Helen, V, Tammy and Dung (pronounced “Young”) have all done work on either my nails, toes or brows and I’ve never had a complaint. I’m also very hard on my nails so occasionally they will break or chip and unless it’s really bad they’ll fix it for free! Read Less

I have been going here to have my nails done for just shy of a year now. I feel I can write an honest review based on multiple experiences. I like this business - they're small, efficient, very clean, and friendly. Since my 2nd or 3rd visit, they always greet me by name when I walk in. My nails are done mostly by Nick, but also by Lulu. I can't speak to the other nail techs so I won't. Nick is an extremely hard working person - he only sits down because he has to do his job!... I do wish they could have a receptionist there for every moment the place is open so Nick wouldn't have to be pulled from his customers to answer the phone or help another customer that walks in. Even with that, he does a great job on my nails and I never feel like I'm being neglected. One time several months back, I had another nail tech there that also did a great job, so I always booked with her. I arrived for my scheduled appointment to find that she had moved on and was no longer working there. They thought they had called all of her customers, but I somehow slipped through the cracks. Very happy with this salon. Took my 14 yo for her birthday to have her nails done. They were awesome with her first set of nails. Each fill-in visit has been great. Mikey is wonderful. This is a wonderful, friendly, and clean nail salon. I have only been to Randy for my gel manicures because he does a phenomenal job. He gets the paint right up to the cuticle, but never on it, for a neat-looking and long-lasting manicure. Mine always still look great after 2.5 weeks, but then I have to take it off because of the new nail growth. It was okay. Average prices for a pedicure. I waited a long while and the lady kept going to do other things in the middle of my pedicure, disappearing in the back room for over twenty minutes while the wax was on my feet. They also want you to tip only in cash and that is highly inconvenient. They have an atm but there's a fee. I suspect they have a deal with the atm company.Read Less

I went with a wedding party. The atmosphere was great. The bride had a great time. I would've given them a 5 had my manicure been better. I received a gel manicure. The nails were misshaped, but were corrected after I said something. The free edge of the nail was left uncovered. And when I mentioned it she said she would trim it down at the end. That's not right. And the sides aren't clean and the polish is already coming off. Unfortunately I don't live in town but I'm disap...pointed that the gel manicure didn't last at least a week. At other salons, I can have a gel manicure last any where from 2 weeks to a month. Yesterday was my first time going to the salon but won't be my last. From the moment my husband and I walked in everyone was so nice and attentive. Walking into the salon there is such a peaceful energy. I received a mani/pedi and the experience was so relaxing. My nail tech Andrew was excellent and has a great touch. I love getting my nails done but usually dread the time it can take waiting for services. Tropical Nail Spa made each step seamless and before I knew it I was relaxing in the full body massage chair without a care in the world. It's a great place but don't take my word for it. They did a nice job on my nails but everyone there was extremely rude. At one point the man doing my nails got up to answer a phone, went to the front desk to do something else, and by the time he came back he forgot what he had and had not painted! I would give this a no star but I can't, literally got charges an extra $5 because I wanted my nails long. HAHAHAHA A JOKE I've been getting my nails done for over 2 years and not once was I charged extra because it was longer than the actual nail. Not happy at all about the service. I had been there with a friend for mani/pedi. It was 37$ per person. The guy who attended me was very rude and grumpy throughout. He had a rude face with rude body language. The nail service was not worth 37$. I could have done this better myself. The lady who attended my friend did not understand English and eventually ended up doing French mani/pedi when all my friend asked for was nude colour polish. This was now charged 47$.Dont go to this place. Am thoroughly disappointed having wasted money at this hole. There are plenty other nail salons in Evansville that would treat customers as peers or humans. STAY AWAY from this place. Read Less
