I've found my manicurist for life! I have very thin nails that are also flat and oddly shaped and tend to start warping after they grow so long. The warped areas then start splitting. I like color on my nails but nail polish tends to dry them out so badly they just start peeling away. I like a shellac manicure because it lasts so long but after two or three of those I usually have to leave off of them and let my nails grow out healthy again, which takes months. This is why Bobbie is a godsend. The woman knows her stuff.I've now been to see Bobbie for a shellac every two weeks since February and my nails are in great shape! Yes, there is a dry spot or two here and there but nothing like the peeling and breaking there was before. What's the difference? 1) She soaks off the old and scrapes the softened polish with an orange stick whereas other salons just scrape and file it off with an acrylic file and the metal cuticle pusher which thins the nails terribly. I know you can get a soak off at those other places but they have the nerve to charge you for it. You shouldn't pay extra for this, it's part of getting a shellac.2) She treats my cuticles right and has taught me to do so by turning me on to the Solar Oil which I apply daily, usually. But, she doesn't have to cut and as a result my nails are healthier.3) She uses only the CNC products which are made to work together and compliment each other. Most other salons use an off brand base and top coat. This is one of the reasons they have to file and scrape off the old. It may also be a contributing factor to the drying and peeling. I say this because I haven't had this problem since I've been seeing Bobbie. She also uses the CNC light box and I've noticed that I don't have to have my nails under the UV light as long as  I have with other boxes.4) She takes her time and doesn't make me feel like she's in a rush. Part of the reason for this is that she sees you by appointment. I hate getting a mani and feeling like I'm customer #50 of the day with 10 more to get to behind me. She also sets your next appointment before you leave so you don't have to worry about it later. 5) This may mean nothing to most of you but, I know she is who her license says she is. I'm sorry but, if you can't even speak English how is your name Brittany Smith and how did you pass the test to get your license? Please don't misunderstand what I'm saying. I read a story about a nail salon that was exploiting immigrant labor and had effectively made slaves of them. That is a big concern for me and I don't wish to support this type of practice.Make an appointment. Go. You won't be sorry. Read Less
