This establishment is an absolute must if you are looking to have nails done. The owner is almost always there and he is very nice, (so are the rest of the staff). They always perform excellent work, and if you are tired of worrying about the poor quality you are used to getting elsewhere, rest assured that you are in good hands. I have been here a few times in the past few years. EVERY time i go i end up remembering why i stopped going the time before. I have dealt with them being rude. Always rushing my full set. I walked in before and was met with the nastiest attitude. A white woman walks in behind me and they were super courteous to her. They tried to charge me extra for taking off my gel polish which i thought was weird because its usually included when youre getting a fill in. Very rough while clipping your cuticles. I snatched my hand away and the woman raised her voice at me like it was my fault. Felt like she didnt want to do my nails in the first place. I am very disappointed with my last service at AJ nails. I've frequented this salon for over 2 years and the service has been on a steady decline.  I was at this nail shop on Tuesday it was close to closing time and the service was obviously rushed. I was getting chrome polish and I chose #2 which I had previously had. When the man began my nails the base coat that he applied was pink, (red flag) it was red the last time I got it so I inquired and was reassured that this was#2 and they even showed me the bottle (which was obviously mis marked). Afterwards my suspicions were confirmed and it was the wrong color. My niece and daughter both got no chip matte colors. An hour after leaving the salon my daughters nails still were not dry and there were indentions in her nails. My nieces nails began peeling /chipping within hours and I noticed that the base pink was starting to show underneath the chrome  polish and the tips. We immediately took photos and contacted the salon when they opened the next morning. The owner agreed that the workers were rushing because it was time for the salon to close. He assured me that he would "take care" of our nails free of charge. I explained that I couldn't come back that day but that I would be in that week. He reassured us that no matter when we came "he would take care of it". We presented today and the owner was acknowledged our conversation I provided him with my receipt and the photos tune and date stamped 2 hours after leaving the salon. and told us to have a seat. He preceded to take several clients that came in after us and were getting full service. Remember we just needed a polish change. I approached his station to inquire as 30 minutes had elapsed and new walk ins were bring serviced. He then found someone to redo the nails. Kristin did my nails and she did an excellent job and apologized that I had to return because of the previous poor work. I tipped her $10 because I was satisfied with her service. She gave me the correct color and there were no signs of color bleeding through. When my daughter and niece were done we tipped the people who did their nails and proceeded to leave  as I was previously told there would be no charge to redo the nails. The owner then states that he will take 20% off the service today. Are you crazy man? You just told us "you were taking care if it" no charge. He then started babbling about several days had passed and he was not going to charge me if I presented that day. I reminded him that I was the one inconvenienced. I had to drive 30 miles back to his salon to get services that we had paid $100 for redone because of pure negligence. I am a doctor and was post call the next day I called the salon they were closed when I left the hospital that night and I told him on the phone that I wouldn't be able to come that day. He said I'm taking a percentage off, like he was doing me a favor. I told him he lied on the phone and when we presented today when he said there would be NO charge. As soon as I walk in a girl yells to ask me what I need done. I say a full set (in a normal voice.) Before I could look at polish she tells me to sit down. I'm not argumentative + was in a good mood so I sat and waited. And waited. Mind you it's 3 workers sitting on their phone just looking at me. About 10 minutes of sitting later, a white lady walks in and they all greet her & ask her RESPECTFULLY what she would like. Then like 4 of them proceeded to seat her while I was STILL sitting there. I have been going here for two years and the quality of the work was always the best I have ever had done. However, recently I have had nothing but issues. Every time someone does my no-chip manicure, they rip my cuticles so hard scabs are left. This last time, my nails chipped within two days and the polish was peeling up on the rest of them, visibly. I went in to get them fixed and was told they would only fix the two nails with chips and that I was peeling up the rest of the polish. Why would I ever do that? Anyways, when I explained I wanted the rest of them fix as well, I was met with screaming by the owner and him speaking in his native language and laughing to the rest of his employees. I payed for a service and they say they guarantee their work for 10 days. I had come it at just a week to get them fixed. I do not pay to be spoken about behind my back, especially when I'm in the room and other customers are as well. It was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had and I will never be returning and will stop referring my friends here. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. You as a customer deserve better. My mother and I came here twice for pedicures.  The first time it was great. The nail techs unwrapped the sterilized tools right in front of us and went to work kindly and carefully.  The second time, we had appointments late in the day.  The nail techs had everything ready and were in a big hurry.  Mom, who is 82, said she felt embarrassed, because the nail tech was rough with her, like she didn't want to touch her feet.  She also nicked my mother.  It got infected.  After several courses of antibiotics, my mom had to have a surgeon go in and scrape out the infection and part of the bone. Came here with a bridal party for my sister's wedding. They let us bring in champagne, which was nice. The space is itself is large and well kept. However, probably one of the worst manicures I've ever gotten. I had to ask the nail tech to re-file three different nails because they were so crooked. She was so rough when pushing down my cuticles that I literally had to pull my hand away and ask her to stop. I didn't receive a massage as part of the manicure. The paint job was sloppy. My normal nail care is a manicure.  Obviously, there's a price difference between that and a no chip mani.  I've never felt my business was appreciated because I'm not dumping high dollars.  I boycotted the salon for a few months, but decided to give them another try.  Sadly, same treatment.  Jerry can barely get a thank you when I leave.  My not returning isn't going to hurt their business, but with all the competition out there, you'd think they'd value every customer that walks through the door. First time using this place as we just moved into the neighborhood. Appointments are recommended, but I seen people walk in, and not have to wait to long. I gave my appointment to my daughter and I went to what it seems like the woman in charge. She was a but rough. Didn't use nail polish remover to remove my old polish, she used the drill to shave it off and kept burning me in the process. She said sorry, but to burn me more than twice is unnecessary. The manager is very nice, but they are way understaffed. Came in for Mani and Pedi and I waited for over 40 minutes, before even getting started. Two other ladies came in 30 minutes after me , supposedly with a appointment, and they took them first. The staff here really needs to learn to be more efficient and mange their time and scheduling better. They are all running around confused on who goes next. I had to do a lot of explaining during my service and they didn't even have me soak off my no chip during my pedicure. If this nail salon does not work smarter and efficient the right way, they will lose good customers like me quickly. Read Less

I had high hopes for this place cuz it's in dyer, but I hate my full set & pedicure! Nails are uneven, acrylic laid to thin on some nails & the paint job sucks!! Very nice service. They did a great job with the bridal party  i went with we got a bottle  of champagne and they even had plastic flutes to use. Very nice place to have a party, we all were very pleased and left happy and very  relaxed. Might be my new go to place! Read Less

I went here because no other salon in the area was open before 11am on Sunday. Glad I did! It's a newer place that opened 6 weeks ago. They're very friendly and the salon is extremely clean. The no chip was $27... great price.  My nail tech (May) took the time to give me a perfect manicure and I love my no chip. I've been to many nail salons and I would have to say that this is one of the best. Definitely recommended! Read Less
