I was a first time client at Beauty & the Beach to get my hair color fixed after a TERRIBLE experience at a different local salon that left me orange and blotchy! First off, this was the EASIEST booking I’ve ever done. Seriously, I went on their site, and booked my appointment without being asked a million and one questions about what I EXACTLY wanted done with my hair... personally, I’m not the best with terminology for hair, I just knew that I wanted to be blonde again. Booking was a breeze and that made such a difference. Next was showing up for my appointment; I showed up and the girls who work there are all so sweet and inviting! They took my coat, offered me water, and we got right into my appointment! Everything went smooth and Jamie was so super sweet, she made me feel comfortable and I was able to trust her that she would fix my mess! At the end of the appointment, my hair color was back on 10/10 and she gave me the best blowout I think I’ve ever had. I was given a punch card and racked up a bunch of punches on it, which definitely makes it worth going back, since the card saves you $$ once you hit a certain number of punches! I highly recommend their facility, it’s in such a great location and it’s so nice inside, including the girls who work there. Can’t wait to go back and try a different service! I took my girls in there twice to get their nails done, The first time my youngest one went to a different lady and she did perfect was very sweet talk to her and made her feel welcome. My oldest daughter went to same Day and had a different lady and she didn’t hardly talk to her at all and did a crappy job on her nails. Then I took him back one more time to try to get the girl who down my oldest daughters nails the first time did both of them the second time and again the nails cracked and within a week and I paid for the no chip. I will never take them or anyone else back to the shop again. And I also think they’re too expensive for their nails. Read Less

I got my nails done here for the 1st time about a month ago for a wedding. I've always been intrigued by the pics posted. The nail tech was so nice and made sure my nails were perfectly matched to my bridesmaids dress. I did no chip with a glitter fade. I went here for a bikini wax right before my vacation last month. I hadn't shaved in 3-4 weeks, so the hair was definitely long enough. But the girl did such a patchy job! I had so many patches that weren't done, it looked awful! The girl did it in less than 10 minutes and was rather unfriendly. I also got an airbrush tan there the same day and it came off in 2 days where it was said to last 7-10 days. I followed all of the suggestions for it and used a pH balanced lotion and body wash. I was so disappointed with the service I received and especially right before my vacation. I will not return nor will I suggest this place to anyone. My first time going there. Got a facial from a girl who must have been pretty new; she seemed really unrefined at the process (GREAT masseuse, tho!) and a little clumsy. They don't really do a good job at creating ambiance at all. And it reeked like hair chemicals as soon as you walked in the building. No one else was getting serviced so I guess it must smell like that most of the time. The bed I was laying on for the facial wasn't very practical for the job. A lot of pillows and such by your head, so it's very awkward to get the massage part and I felt like the sides kept touching my cheeks during. Skin felt and looked very good for a couple of days afterward, but I'd say it's equal parts how its done and the result that matters. Prices are pretty outrageous, I think. They cost more than State of Mind and SoM is a lot more established and really is the whole package. Ambiance is off the charts and everyone there always seems really experienced.
