I give them a 2 star rating only because I've been going there for three years and they were always wonderful. Also, the man who does pedicures is fantastic. However, I went two weeks ago for a full set and wasn't happy. The woman (seems to always be at the first nail station inside the door, not the super skinny one but the one who is a bit more filled out) who did them was watching TV as she did my nails. She left the spinning file tool in one spot too long and even though I said it was getting hot, I ended up having to jerk my hand away. I have very thin nails and she almost burned a hole in my nail. Also, they were sloppy. Two of them were obviously crooked. There were gaps underneath between my real nail and the acrylic where dirt and crud got caught all the time. You always have to spend extra time to keep fake nails clean but this is ridiculous. She painted clear gel on them as I asked and missed the edge of one. I pointed it out to her, she looked at it and said it was fine! I ended up painting clear gel on it myself when I got home. Thankfully, I have the gel kit and UV light. I also looked like I needed a fill when I walked out of the salon. . . .
Because I've been going there so long, I decided to give them another chance. Everyone has off days. So I went back yesterday for a fill and a pedicure. Big mistake. I thought it was going to be great because another woman there (who does good work) started my fill. But then I got switched back over to the other lady (yes, I tip well - usually 25%). She filed my pinky wrong and irritated the cuticle so much that it burned when she painted on the ph bond. The fill looks terrible. Usually, they use a chemical called yellow out to keep the acrylic from turning yellow. The gal didn't do that originally so when she put the new on, there's an obvious line. I pointed it out and she painted one coat of a pearly pink on them to try to cover it but you can still see it. But the worst was the pedicure. She CUT my big toe so badly that it bled. A lot. I've put all kinds of Neosporin on it and up under the nail. Hopefully, it won't get infected.
I agree with the reviewer before me. They used to be great no matter who you got. Now, if you get that woman. . . .watch out. I may go back, I don't know. If I do, I will definitely not allow that woman to do any of my work. Read Less
