I love that not only is it a spa, but you can also walk in and purchase several different high quality gift items that many women would love like lotions, body scrubs, etc. The staff greets everyone in a very friendly and warm manner and I have only had pleasant experiences with them. My first visit was absolutely amazing!  I spent the afternoon being pampered as part of a girl's day and it was perfect.  My friend did call and arrange everything for us.  The staff was on their game and made the experience even better.  We changed into the robes and shoes in a gorgeous locker room, then rested in the quiet room for our treatments to begin.  The robes were a little heavy for the summer months and still nice.  My treatments included a facial, pedicure, and massage.  My favorite was the massage.  I rarely have them and it was blissful.  I will schedule another massage in the future.  Apparently the spa has been there for years and I had no clue.  I thought it worth every penny to be pampered for the afternoon.  They included a basket at the end of all the products used on you throughout the day.  It wasn't pushy, which I appreciate. I am in Indianapolis for a quick weekend so my son could go to basketball camp. I googled "day spas" and this came up. What a fantastic experience! The only downside is - I don't live here to visit again! From the second you open the door - you feel "spa like" - from the lighting to the smell to the decor...it is warm and calm and lovely. Every employee is smiling and friendly and so pleasant! The massage with Jess was fantastic...she did exactly what I asked - not too soft...not too hard and I felt great when she was done.Since I had checked out of my hotel - I showered in their locker room and it was a beautifully appointed room that was as clean as my home and comfortable too. Love, love, love. I've been a fan of Woodhouse Day Spa in Carmel since I moved to Indianapolis 7 years ago. I made my first appointment on a whim and have been a loyal customer ever since. I love the quiet interior as soon as you walk in, the plush robes, and the gorgeous pre/post relaxation room with hot tea and snacks. I truly feel like I am stepping away from the crazy world and into something wonderful. I've had my fair share of random Groupon massages, but always come back to Woodhouse because I find it worth the extra money. I've also visited other Woodhouse locations, but Carmel continues to be my favorite. I do wish they would enforce their "no cell phone" policy somehow because I seem to be the only one in the quiet room trying to relax without mine and sometimes the quiet room can be a bit crowded with large groups, but overall, I adore the beauty, small details, and relaxation provided from this wonderful spa. I do not feel like this is worth the price and have come to learn that they are very awful to work for. I used to go here and have moved to Hand and Stone and several people that worked here have since left and moved to Hand and stone due to the poor management and owners so I will 100% not support this spa due to the ways they treat their employees. I did not feel valued as a customer. First of all, I had a 10:30 appt. with Dominic, which the girls told me was not on their calendar. Then, they urged me to reschedule an hour later with a man whom they claimed was very good and had been doing massage therapy for 25 years. My first red flag was that he looked to be no older than his thirties or low forties. So that part was misrepresentation. He started out applying very good pressure to my face, but for a short time, then started SCRATCHING my head for the longest time. Unbelievable. When it appeared he wasn't going to move on (and who wants to pay those prices for a head scratch), I had to redirect him to another body part as nicely as possible. After that, everything was downhill—light pressure and few or no pressure points. I paid for a deep tissue massage. My second bad experience with them this year, but this was the worst. On vacation i was called multiple times stating the cashier made a error and that i was to come in immediately and pay 150 dollars on top of what i already paid. They even attempted to charge my credit card unauthorized . So i am to go in immediately and pay for a cashiers mistake. The company did not offer anything for this inconvenience nor apologetic. After weeks of not hearing back from the manager, I contacted the corporate office in Texas. It took someone from the corporate office contacting the manager to finally get in touch with me. My first impression was that this place seemed pretty nice. My actual treatment went well and I liked the massage therapist I had. However, it all went downhill at checkout. The counter folks seem rather uninterested in providing the kind of customer service one would expect for such high prices. There was an issue with the charge for my service and the manager was not there at the time. She never contacted me as was promised at the time. HORRIBLE customer service. Although there is the ""quiet"" room to set the ambiance the employees walk in and out continuously. I found this very distracting and took away from my relaxing experience. Also, the counter employees are rude and really do not seem to understand what is going on except for their fakeness. The people performing the services will add n extras ie longer time or deep tissue for a massage without asking and you are surprised at checkout. The front desk people made it seem like I made that appointment. This is not this first time I heard of this happening too.. I had a friend that this happened to as well.
