This was my first time to this salon, I came in to have my toes painted and a gel full set. While they were polite, it took 3 hrs and 3 different technicians to take care of my appointment. The gentleman that started my nails called me picky because I kept asking him to adjust the nails with the file because I like them to look uniform...when he noticed that comment upset me, he tried to cover it up saying he jokes like that with all his customers. I moved to Carmel a few months ago and found the Nail Spa based on yelp reviews. Super friendly staff that does great work... my gel manicures last until my nails grow out. The prices are also reasonable and they offer a discount if you pay in cash. reasons for 3 stars- Despite making appointments, they are always running late. Many times one technician will start your service, then switch mid service if someone walks in. Would not recommend for Dip nails... not sure they are experienced. Pedi/Mani is "efficient". I love this place! I took my boyfriend today with me because his feet were hurting from walking so much at work. This was his first experience getting a pedicure. We both loved it. Jon once again relieved my sciatica pain through working on the pressure points on my feet. After not having my nails done for over a year (because I had a baby), I decided to treat myself while running errands. I stopped in The Nail Spa and had an AMAZING experience. I was traveling from out of town from Chicago to Carmel to visit my friend and wanted to take her to get a mani/pedi. I called the spa the day before and the manager was kind enough to accommodate our schedule and fit us in early. Angela was so thoughtful and patient with helping us choose the right color and concept for our nails. I loved that she was truly passionate about her artistry and was a great listener. A gentleman did my pedicure and he was very thorough. Everyone working there was welcoming. We had a great time. I don't visit Carmel often, but next time I do, I'll be coming back to Nail Spa. I am shocked at how good of reviews this place has. I went for the first time today and did not have a good experience. Nails look good, but the owner is rude. I wanted to go during my lunch hour at work, so I made an appt. The owner was not friendly when I walked in, and very awkwardly mumbled to me to sit at a chair. A woman who did not know what she was doing attempted to shape my nails and cut my cuticles. After she had finished eight fingers, a woman came in for a pedicure. The owner told the woman helping me to get up and give the woman a pedicure - I thought she would start the water, but no, just left me at the chair. 10 minutes later, I expressed that I was in a hurry, and the owner yelled at the guy to get me out of their quickly. To be fair, the gentleman who helped me was nice and did a great job, he was the only plus of this experience. The owner then told me I had the appt time wrong and that's why I was waiting (which I did not). Overall, I would not recommend this place due to the owner's poor customer service. Read Less

I just moved to the area. Me and my friend made an appointment for a full set and pedicure for both of us.  We arrived to our appointment and were told that there was only one person that could do acrylics.  Which would have been fine if they would have started one of our pedicures while the other was getting nails done. Needless to say, We were in there for 4 1/2 hours!! In the time we were there the owner (I assume) and the male worker got into a verbal argument. Very uncomfortable.  Also quality of nails definitely not worth that length of time.  I will not be back.This is Same salon we went to. Not only do I recognize the salon, but your salon is on my mapquest. We were there on July 3.  Also you gave a 10% discount for cash. While we were there, another patron walked out because she had come in earlier and you told her to come back at a certain time. She waited 25 minutes , came up to me and said you must not want business. She walked out and you left me to chase her down and bring her back in. Was not the only time you left me sitting while you attended to everyone else's needs. You had to call in for another technician to help. I never plan ahead enough to make an appointment, but the staff always find a way to work me in. One thing I love about them is that they are open when a lot of other salons aren't. They opened on Memorial Day ( and closed on Tuesday in observance) so that people like me could get their nails done before heading back to work after a long weekend. Always great service! Read Less

I have been going to Angela for awhile now at The Nail Spa and she always takes great care of me! I usually get a fill with gel polish and it is very affordable. You also get a 10% discount if you pay with cash!! They are so friendly and really take the time to talk and get to know you.The atmosphere and cleanliness of this place makes it a lot easier to relax while getting your nails done. I've been to most of the nail salons in Carmel and they either overcharge you for a gel manicure that doesn't last long or rush you through the process just to fit everyone that walks in. I moved here last year & started looking for a nail spa. I tried a few other places in the area. When I went into The Nail Spa they made me feel so welcome to the area. I am very particular about what I use on my nails. I have never used gel polish before. I decided to try it. Really Really LOVE how my nails turn out when I leave there. I have been doing nails & pedicure almost all the time now. Due to family life being very busy, plus my own health issues. I heard of this salon through a friend of mine, so I drove 20 minutes to check it out. The atmosphere is cozy and modern, the staff is so friendly and professional. I got the deluxe pedicure and it was one of the best smelling and relaxing massages I've had in a long time. The lady shaped my toes perfectly and took a long time paying attention to every last detail especially when she was painting them. I get a mani/pedi every 2-3 weeks and I'll definitely be making this a regular place even though it's not the closest one from my house. Absolutely worth the trip!! (And they're right next to dunkin donuts. How bad can that be? Lol)I also brought my husband along with me today, and he said it was the best pedicure/massage he's ever had as well.
