I went to Polish for the first time on Tuesday evening. I went for the second time today, Saturday morning. My $50 gel and acrylics service lasted 2 days before chipping. So, I stopped back in this morning, explained what happened, and asked for a polish change. Multiple times, I said this was a do-over from 3 days ago. When done, my nail tech said that would be $25. What? I said no, I wasn't paying $25 for them to fix their work. We bartered to $15. To spend time and money I hadn't planned to spend. It's a lovely salon, peaceful, and the employees are pleasant. But I was prepared to spend a nominal amount today, plus, of course, a tip for her time. Instead, I spent $80 this week getting a mani that I'm still not confident will last. Read Less

Very clean salon with a lot of color choices, but the service itself was overall bad. The guy that did my gel manicure didn't shape my nails at all. He didn't let the polish dry all the way. He acted like he was in a rush but there was no one waiting. The polish started to peel the second day, and I had to go somewhere else and get it redone within a week. Don't waste your money. This place is clean calm and relaxing. I have never had gel nail polish and i told the tech that i am very hard on my nails. She asked what color and i said white tips and she recommended gel because it lasted longer. So I went for it. All I can say is omg I'm in love. I would give it less than one start if i could!!! The worst nail experience and custumer service ever! That it left me shocked and speachless! It was my first time going to the salon since it near my house and i add some good reviews. I came in, it wasn't busy morning. Nobody greeted me, I was standing until a lady who was working on someone's hands yelled across the room covered by loud th sound "What do you want?" When i called before to book. I was placed in the care of a man who didn't bother to present himself and just asked me to sit downbeat without offerings me a drink or water. I asked gel nails to be done since I've done my research and know gel is better for nails. He didn't listen and proceed to do tips and no dip powder on my hands. While doing my hands he was very rough, and pressed several times on my fingerboard scrape which he decided needed some nail glue on it!!!! He told me "that's what they do in hospitals". No sir in hospital they don't put nail glue on open wounds! At this point I tough the fella was deranged. He proceeded with his sloppy job. And in the meantime he start taking personal calls and checking his mails. Also another man came speaking Chinese showing him what resembled a bill. So he was with me but not really and was more preoccupied to look at his bill paper. I was shocked and felt almost that I bother him. After he was done shaping my sloppy nails. He asked me to choose a color, I asked him if we can "try this one" he proceeded to not try but paint all my nails the same color. Then he asked me to move to another seat and put my hand in a UV light? While o wasn't finished and waiting for my nails to dry he already took another's client and started to do her nails?! At this point. I thought it was a joke! Then the lamp was off and I waiting For him to say something or comeback back to me. Until I had to ask him if I was done? He said you're done! I looked at my nails and it was horrible! My cutixlea wasn't cut, my nails looked bloated and uneven. The nails polish didn't go to all the way to the nail bed. I had a hair imbedded in one of my nails another nail wasn't smeared. And had powder residues all over my fingers and some acrylic jamming Into my skin because by he didn't bother to file properly. This was my FiRST and last time going there! It's totally unnaceptable! I'm so disappointed because i was looking forward to it. And hoping to have great nails for the party tonight! Read Less

Got Phong in the front left and am utterly disappointed & unhappy with the job that was done. Again I made an appointment, so didn’t just walk in. In total this full set with gel polish took 23 minutes. That’s absurd and a good job could not have been done in that amount of time. First of all he was on his phone the first few minutes and did not talk hardly at all. His demeanor was very rude and unpleasant. He did not touch my cuticles or do any kind of manicure with this which I would have paid for (I obviously needed one). Polish is not covering the entire nail on the edges and he did not have me rinse my hands after filing, just painted the gel over the rough areas. He was very rough with pushing my hands around. He also did not do lotion or anything at the end. Just did a very poor and careless job on a full set of acrylics and gel paint and sent me on my way.. in 23 mins, with dry hands and awful cuticles. They do not look good and I will have to get these done again elsewhere before the Holidays ( so like tomorrow). Which i am not pleased with. I will be reviewing you all on all sites and platforms I can find, with pictures included, & will be taking my business elsewhere. Read Less

Great modern salon on Carmel. I love the interior color palette of this place. It's in gray and white which makes this place very chic. The set-up of the chairs are good and does not feel crowded. They have a great selection of nail polish including gel colors which I normally go for. You'll definitely be pampered with their pedicure services. You have different upgrade options such as scrubs and extended massage. The leather massage chairs are wonderful and the place is pretty sanitary. Read Less

This place is GORGEOUS and very, very clean. Cleanliness in this sort or place is a big deal to me. The lady that did my mani/pedi was very sweet. She was super detail oriented, and I appreciated that. Only one small complaint - I did have a slightly ingrown toenail, and I don't mind having it cut out whenever I get a pedicure, but this time the lady kept digging at my big toe and was making me bleed and it was very painful. And she continued to mess with it even after I asked her to leave it alone, so that was a bummer. That definitely won't stop me from returning, though! We stopped by here the other day and one of the ladies came from the back and asked my daughter what she would like and my daughter told her. Then, the lady told her to look for a polish, and that was it. She was not asked to sit and wait, to come to the back. NOTHING......three other customers came in and one was taken to the back right away, but my daughter and I just waited. We waited about 20 minutes, so we just left. Disappointed but not surprised. The salon itself was beautiful and well maintained. That is the only positive of this place.  The manicurist rushed me out of her chair so she could seat he next client. she assured me my nails were completely dry. I trusted her, got to my car, reached into my purse and 3 nails smudged.  I had to get my kid from daycare so didn't go back in to complain.  I was looking ay my nails about 4 hours later and about 6 of them were chipped or smudged already. I've never had a manicure wear so poorly. i just moved to Carmel and this place had awesome reviews....but, I will definitely never return here.  $20 down the drain. Read Less

Went to have a much needed pedicure this morning.  I did not go to my usual place because the roads were blocked with detours. So I went through the parking lot of Kroger on Rangeline Road and happened to see a nail salon that I've always wanted to try, so in I go!So the name of the nail salon is Polish.  The decor inside is very pretty.  I didn't have a wait because I went first thing in the morning - LOL it was serious business!  After walking in I was met by a woman who simply refused to smile at me as I smiled and said hello to her,  she simply said can I help you?   And I proceeded to answer her with one word - pedicure. A very nice lady named Mary came to escort me back and took care of me.  She made sure The water temperature was correct and proceeded to perform the pedicure. She brought out a nice tray of supplies for the pedicure, it was all arranged very pretty and inviting.  Mary proceeded to give me one of the best pedicures that I have ever had.  The thing is that I am a bit of  germaphobe as well as Jessica K. - and I have to agree with Jessica K.,They do not clean the pedicure bowls out properly from one client to the next. When I noticed it I was shocked. But I had already finished my pedicure I usually bring a little bottle of germicide with me to put into the water and always ask their permission. But I did not this time. And this is the time that I needed it the most :(. It is unfortunate that they do not follow proper sanitation protocol.  They are a nice looking salon and could probably be very busy but I'm sure we are not the only two that has noticed this. I do not enjoy giving our local businesses a bad review or even a half bad review but I think maybe that's why we are all here? I normally get my nails done with my sister but since she didn't have the time I had to go outside my comfort zone and try somewhere else. Nail Laquer in Mentor is close to home so I decided to give it a shot...so happy I did!!! Lily did an absolutely fantastic job with my Spa Pedi and Shellac! I'm so glad I found this place. It's the best nail salon I've been to in awhile and I hope that doesn't change anytime soon. I went in to get my nails fixed because the last salon I went to just did a terrible job, see La Vie review.The technicians were great. Didn't try to con me into buying more expensive treatments. They gave me what I wanted. What was great too is they gave me the length I wanted, as I work a hospital job they can't be very long, and didn't argue with me like the last salon who said they COULDN'T do that at all.I'll def be coming back here! My daughter and I came here for pedicures and her a mani and a full set for me. 1. The lady who did my pedi almost got kicked in the face. While my feet were on the rest, toes pointing up, she pushed down on the top of my feet with her body weight. I'm sorry, ankles don't bend that way and it hurt. Besides for that, it was honestly the worst pedi I have ever had. Then we got to my nails... I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said ok. I told her I didn't want acrylics but I did want gel. She gave me acrylics and charged the gel price... My nails looked like I did them myself and were extremely bumpy, with a sloppy polish job. About a week later the white parts were turning brown? My daughter enjoyed her pedi. I told them to put gel polish on her nails and 3 people asked me several times "gel polish?" Yes, yes, YES!  her polish lasted a whole 4 days. I do her polish at home (I bought the light and we have quite the gel polish collection going on) and it always last 2 weeks. I spent a grand total of about $160... Unfortunately because they are awful and apparently like to almost break feet, we will not be returning. Read Less

I made an appointment today for 12:15 at my lunch hour, they were not really busy but seemed short staffed. I have gone to school for my esthetics license so I can be a germaphobe and am always looking for cleanliness. This nail salon is pretty clean. I was seated on the pedicure chair but my pedicure did not start until 12:30. So I was waiting for about 15 minutes, which would not have been a problem if I had more time. I chose the Lavender  pedicure which is about $45.00. The pedicure itself was nice and thorough. The only thing that would keep me from coming back is the fact that they do not sanitize their pedicure bowls. The person getting a pedicure next to me was finished before I was, I was careful to notice if they properly sanitize and disinfect the pedicure bowls with barbicide, and all they did was simply washed it down with water. Pretty Gross!  The staff and pedicure itself was great but I most likely will not return because of their cleaning procedures and plus I got late on my way back to work - pretty pointless making an appointment. My feet were a legit hot mess. I'm talking caveman. Eww. I wanted to treat myself prior to a girls night out and swung by after work for a pedicure.I made a 5pm appointment on Friday and was taken back immediately. The salon is very chic and up to date. Everything was clean and well maintained. The nail tools came from a  sealed pack which was a relief. I've been to other salons were you had no idea if they were clean or not. I think the tech was a bit disappointed when I didn't want to upgrade though. Being a gal on a budget, let's be real. I'm not paying $50 for a pedicure which is what she kept pointing to on their menu. They do have an excellent menu of services and upgrades, I'm just cheap! The actual service was great, an hour long, no rushing through. The basic service included your normal pedi with an exfoliating scrub, massage, lotion and hot towel. She spent extra time on my gnarly calluses, which was great. A few days later, the polish still looks nice and shiny. They carry Essie which I adore, along with OPI. I did see an extensive selection of gel shades as well. The reason for the three stars is the massive language barrier. Now I expect that to some extent, but the tech I don't think understood a word I was saying. I was trying to add a tip and she had no idea how much I was asking for. I could barely get out of her that I needed to pay her and not someone else. SO! All in all, great service, just be prepared for some hand gestures and other means of communication. Read Less

I have been going to Polish, previously Nails II, for over 10 years! That in itself should speak very highly of the salon. Alan and Michelle are wonderful, friendly and very professional as well as the rest of their staff!!! They offer many services, all of which are GREAT!
