I went here for the first time this morning. I got a spa pedicure and a gel manicure. They have a ton of gel colors to choose from unlike other salons. The pedicure was great; the only downfall is they don’t actually give you time to relax and soak your feet... they’re a little rushed. Similar recent experience as some of the others, misunderstanding between myself and a nail tech led to her yelling at me in the middle of a crowded salon....even though I told her the regular manicure she gave me was fine vs. the gel I had booked and verified at check in was fine. The owner is a mean & rude person who YELLED at my 7 year old little girl who was picking her color for herself. He shouted at her "you only get 2". I'm sorry but if I'm paying you to do her nails, she can have as many colors as she'd like. My last few visits have been awful. The people are rude and unfriendly. They nickel and dime you. The lady i had didn't seem to want to do my pedicure. She wore gloves - I've never had a pedicure with gloves- Really ruined the massage element. She was rough on my feet and the water was burning hot! When i got home i could see that the polish didn't extend tip of my nails. Not worth the money. Read Less

I have been to this location a couple of times. Let me start by saying that the actual service of my nails was good. The down side. I was never greeted upon entering while others were. My nail technician complained about how much work my "long natural nails" are. (My nails aren't that long). (And my nails are not a mess.) It got to the point where I told her that I felt bad. This is where I received a very unconvincing 'it's ok'. I honestly felt bad. And on top of it I always tip over 20%, even when I was made to feel bad. I've had several good experiences here. The technicians have been polite, chatty, and thorough. I've never felt rushed. The location is clean, and the techs do a great job at sanitizing throughout the day and between customers. Terrible!!! I was in a pinch and couldn't make my normal place. The tech was so rude. He tugged and pulled my hands and fingers around in a jerking way. The filing was very aggressive. He forced my hands into the LED light. Told me "nails look better if you relax". I couldn't relax. I've never had such a rushed manicure. It was so half-assed. The polish is awful. Clumpy and streaky. I'm so angry. I don't get to treat myself and I just threw $35 down the toilet plus a new manicure to fix this. Read Less

NEVER GO HERE! Came in as a walk in for a mani. The manicurist seemed annoyed that she had a customer with 40 minutes still left before closing. She was tired and wanted to go home and her work showed it. I've never in my life had a manicure in 10 minutes top; from trimming, to massage to polish. I could have done a better job myself but wanted to feel a little pampered and instead I walked out feeling like they couldn't care less. Will not be giving this business my time anymore. Not my usual neighborhood, but needed a manicure and husband needed a pedicure and we stumbled across this shop. Being a busy Saturday I was expecting a wait but husband was taken right to a chair. My wait was less than 10 minutes. So far so good!The shop was clean. The noise level was very pleasant. Very organized and many stations for nails and pedis.Husband states the pedicure as very good, but the foot and leg massage was the best he has had. Sometimes men don't seem to get their full money's worth, but he did today!My manicure is the best I have ever had. Great selection of polish choices and gels. I'm definitely a fan of the location and size of this salon! I love this strip mall and use almost all of the business in it. I always show up as a walk in for this location and they get me in right away. And this is one of the few spots that actually gives a great polish cover. I can't tell you the number of times I've let the salon and noticed missed spots or lack of two coats! They use gloves during a pedicure which I understand for sanitary reasons but I it's just not as great when it comes to the leg massage. The pedicures here are great, but the manicures I have received are awful. I was excited to try this place based off of the other reviews, but every gel mani I have received here (three total) each have peeled off within the first week. I have never experienced this anywhere else. The staff And facilities are wonderful, but my nails are always painted way too quickly and they leave polish on my cuticles too. I kept trying it out hoping it was a fluke since I live so closely. Go to Fashion Nails in Keystone, I keep branching out to only ever go back there. Their gel manis last three weeks. Read Less

I was in the mood to roll the dice and try a new nail salon for a pedicure. Carmel Nails was busy when I arrived but they had someone with me after about a 10-minute wait. They set me up to soak my feet in the pedicure chair in the mean time. Everything appeared clean and the nail techs were back and forth to the sterilizing machine frequently with tools, which is always reassuring. Everything went as expected but I wouldn't say that anything was over and above -- just an average experience. If anything, I would say that the polish job at the end was a little less than average as I felt like it looked a little sloppy around the cuticles. With that said, this salon is a bit less expensive so the money savings was nice especially in the summer months when more frequent pedicures are needed. They offer a dollar off discount if you pay cash, so that was nice as well.Overall, no glaring problems but Carmel Nails probably wouldn't be my first pick for a nail salon in the area. Read Less

I had a pedicure by a guy named Tony. The nail polish was awful. It was flooded in my cuticles & I had the polish on my skin. Was the worst pain job iv ever had done, EVER! I would give this place ZERO!!!!! I am so disappointed with the staffs attitude! They don't listen to what you ask for and do whatever they think looks good when it really doesn't! Carmel nails has cut my cuticles and has made me bleed and always hurt me when I got acrylics . The lady that cut my cuticle and made me bleed then proceed to put acetone on it to stop the bleeding which burned like hell. I would never tell anyone ever to go there. I gave them a chance several times before I got super shitty and stopped going there. Also the dude that did my nails one time was on his phone the entire time doing my nails literally stopped doing my nails to text... I go to glamour nails in merchants square down the street. The only positive thing that I can say about this salon is that is appeared to be sanitary. There was a problem with every part of the process. The drill got much too hot multiple times, I told the manicurist and she would not slow down the speed. There were cotton strings from removing the old polish stuck to multiple nails that the manicurist noticed and decided to smoosh into the wet acrylic instead of removing them. I asked to have the nails shortened and instead of grin...ding down the nails she used standard nail clippers after the acrylic had hardened so there are micro fractures in every nail. Acrylic got on to my my skin on at least half of my fingers, she decided to let it dry and then file it off, on three of my fingers it was all the way up to my first knuckle. She didn't get it all off, I am still trying to remove bits a day later. Because the acrylic overlapped my cuticles in some places I've already got a problem with lifting on two nails. No two nails are quite the same length or shape. The buffing is horribly uneven so there are mounds and divots, she also decided to forgo the final buffing so the finish is very rough. I can't review the painting because I asked to have them not polished from the beginning as I greatly enjoy doing my own nail art. I tried this shop a couple years ago and had forgotten why I never went back. When telling a friend about this awful experience she reminded me that the only other time I have been in my cuticles were removed to the point of bleeding on multiple fingers. I got a fill here because my usual manicurist is out of town and I couldn't find another place in Carmel that had an immediate walk in availability. At least this experience will help me be more diligent about setting up fill appointments before I actually need a fill. This was a truly horrible experience. This was my first time at Carmel Nails. Very clean and relaxing establishment. They were very nice and took my daughter and myself in right away. Sophia was wonderful and did such a good thorough pedicure. She made me feel relaxed. I did not feel rushed at all. Well worth the money for manicure and pedicure! I came here to get my nails done for a special occasion. When I walked in, my nails were long and strong, natural nails. I went in the week before to make sure they could do the design I wanted and they said yes. When I came in to get them done, they couldn't do what I wanted. No biggie, I went with something more simple. I picked a color, and the tech said she didn't like that brand and that I should pick a different brand. I did, but she said a brighter color would look better. I said multiple times that's not what I wanted but that didn't seem to matter. The design didn't look remotely close to what I showed her and the color was awful. I had to go elsewhere to get them fixed. The "massage" was a drop of lotion rubbed into my hand with zero pressure. I've been to this nail salon a few times since moving to the area. I've never had to wait more than five minutes to get in. I had a pedicure today, and got a nice foot and leg massage too. My pedicure was $28, and it lasts a good 4-5 weeks. Another plus is that they allow you to put a tip on a credit card, something that I've found few other nail salons to do. I didn't love the gel manicure I got there a few weeks ago (polish didn't go all the way to the edges, didn't do a great job with my cuticles), but I've had good ones there before. Nice facility, friendly staff, no wait, decent nail jobMy mom and I got pedicures today. We are both satisfied with our service. The place was pretty nice, not cheap looking like some salons. The atmosphere was very relaxing, calm instrumental music played in the background. Large selection of gel polishes.Price was reasonable ($27) for a manicure. Most places I've been are $30. My only complaint is that they did not push my cuticles back very far, therefore my polish already looks like it's grown out. Have been here a few times and it's usually ok.  The last time, 2 weeks ago, was my last.  The gel manicure I got lasted less than one week.  The woman who did my pedi and mani was very disengaged and did not do a good job with either the mani or pedi.  She rushed through the pedi, barely scrubbed my feet and haphazardly put on the polish.  I had to ask her for a fan to dry my toe nails while I had my manicure.  While she was doing the pedicure I had to ask her several times to file my nails more and to put the polish all the way to the edges - she was very out off by my request.  I don't need to pay this much money to have to go back again in less than 2 weeks. I've had a different technician each time, they all did an amazing job. I always leave relaxed and completely satisfied. First time coming in here I was taking my nieces for manicures & pedicures. My niece was picking her polish, set it on the chair and eventually it rolled off. It was an accident and she felt horrible. The owner yells at her, points his finger in her face and rudely says "you pick 2 color, that's it!". I was appalled and had my other niece not started, I would have walked out but I wasn't going to ruin her day. At the end, my niece asked for a design on her nail and the guy never gave her one. I finally spoke up and asked them to do a design (that I was happily paying extra for) and you would have thought I asked for a kidney. He was so rude and disrespectful to have to go back and give her a design.For whatever reason, I decided to go back for myself and get a gel manicure. The man who did my nails was very kind but cut every single one of my cuticles to the point they were bleeding so bad I had to hold my hands under water. A week later and I have scabs from where I was cut so badly.This place is very convenient to my home but I am happy to drive out of my way to a different nail spa to have better service and a more kind atmosphere. Stopped in around 5p on a Wednesday and was seated immediately for a pedicure.  It was a typical spa-pedicure with 3 types of exfoliant and lotion for the legs, along with hot towels.  The massaging chair was quite nice as well.  The salon itself is clean and stylish, with 6 pedicure chairs and 7 nail stations.  Staffed well and customers consistent.  Overall a great salon for a spontaneous pedi on a weekday afternoon.  $28 for the pedi, not including tip. First and last time there. Grew my nails out for a month, she didn't understand me and cut them down so low they hurt. After she found out I didn't want gel nails she just phoned it in. I can't wear polish for work and wasn't going to spend the money for one weekend.
