It definitely depends on the stylist you choose to do your hair! But in general, I've never been displeased with the salon at beauty brands. My two favorite stylists have been Nicole and Andrew--they listen to what I prefer as far as my haircut goes, but also both happy to give their professional opinion as to what would work best for me. My sister who was with me during my last appt. mentioned "I could tell he was really taking his time with your hair so he could talk to you more!". All of the stylists I've had experience with are friendly and easy to talk to. Read Less

I would describe my unbelievably horrific experience, but when I do Google Maps hides & buries my review. (And I get personally attacked by the stylists & their friends.) Apparently, Beauty Brands has managed to manipulate Google Maps Reviews & have had my damning photos unpublished. What is the point of writing a review if I can't be heard? Trust me when I tell you Beauty Brands does not care about their clients & they shamefully mistreat their unhappy ones. The nicey-niceness & big, toothy smiles that greet you are smoke and mirrors for vindictive cattiness. I do not recommend anyone ever go to BB. Instead, I recommend you run as fast & far away as possible. Photo: It took nearly two years for my hair to recover after being destroyed by Adrienne Lundin in October, 2015. Read Less

Went in for a gel no chip manicure that should last two weeks. Have been to other establishments and it last two weeks no problem. I have weak nails but I've never had a problem like this with a gel manicure so I know it's not my nails! I had a 20% off coupon so I thought I would give BB a try. They put me with their best nail tech. Wow, that's awesome! She was very nice and told me about her status in the company and her qualifications. Score! I paid a higher than usual price for this type of manicure minus all the fun stuff that comes with a usual manicure like the hand massage, etc. I justified it all knowing I got a better manicure. Well, two days later and five nails already badly chipped with others promising a chip in the near future! I'm so bummed! I was hoping to have pretty nails for the holidays and now it looks worse than anything I would have done at home! And I'm out $40! I would advise skipping out on getting your nails done here if you use your hands at all. I hate to leave a negative review but feel it's necessary! It did look pretty for one day and staff was friendly but this is ridiculous! Read Less

My wife worked for Beauty Brands at this location. Prior to being rehired, my wife advised management that another employee had an issue with her, they advised that it would not be a problem. When problems started to occur, my wife complained to the managers and no action was taken. Even when we approached management to let them know that the other employee had slandered her, no action was taken. We tried obtaining the district manager's number, but nobody would provide it. My wife tried calling the HR hotline, but the number was out of service. We called corporate numerous times asking to speak to HR, but our messages were not returned. We called corporate asking for the district manager to call us, still no call. Finally we made a post on the official Beauty Brands Facebook page and they got us in contact with the VP of Human Resources. We sent her an e-mail outlining the issues, that was at the beginning of July, we have heard nothing. I sent a follow-up e-mail to the CEO and Vice President of HR and still no response. Employees are a company's most valued asset. Every person we've tried contacting in this organization from the store manager all the way to the CEO have shown that they don't take employee complaints seriously, as evidenced by their failure to respond. If a company doesn't take care of their most valued asset, do you think they'll value you as a customer? Read Less

I have to disagree with Krista's review on Adrienne Lundin!  She is at the 146th street Beauty Brands in Carmel!  Adrienne is an excellent Master Stylist.  She has done my hair many times and it's always perfect!  She is very professional,cares about her work and strives for excellence!  She is a very caring person always attending classes to improve her technique's!  I would recommend her to anyone that wants a great cut or color!  I felt in reading Kristas review that she was out to discredit her unfairly.  I know Beauty Brands policy is to refund her money if she can't be satisfied I'm sure this was the case.  The pix that were posted were old you can see the new growth and whatever color was on her hair is now faded hair doesn't look ruined!  I would give her a try you will be satisfied! I have given this place two chances and each time they let me down. Both with different stylists. If you have thick hair do not come here. The first time the girl messed up my hair so bad that I had to go get it fixed at another hair salon because everything she did made it worse. The second time I tried someone new with the same issue. Before making the appointment I specifically asked for someone who has worked with thick hair and knows how to cut the angled bob/stacked haircut. When she got "done" I asked her to please thin my hair out some or razor the ends and she refused! She told me thinning shears are awful for hair and that she won't use them. Which is great.. But it's my hair.. MINE. And when I asked if someone else at the salon could do it she refused. I had to speak with a manager just to get something that I wanted done to my hair. It wasn't like it was a chemical process or anything. They finally allowed me to have someone else at the salon thin my hair out and she was great. But then I had to also tip her. Read Less

I typically shop at Beauty Brands for all of my hair products and make up because it is close and convenient to my home. My hair dresser is also there and she does an amazing job -Annie McCormick. With that being said however, today I went in after doing some online research for some new products. At the register, the products rang up higher than the online price was listed. When I asked if they could be matched with their companies advertised price, the sales associate and manager informed me that would not be possible. They gladly let me know that they are willing to match competitor prices... But not their own?! Definitely disappointed with their level of customer service. Read Less

They are very accommodating with setting up appointments and are quick to get me in and out. I highly recommend this place for a great wax - especially if your schedule is hectic! I would recommend no one go here to get color! The hair stylist have no clue what they are doing and will ruin your hair. I went here to get my hair colored for the first time and wanted a shade lighter than my natural (brown) and ended up with bleach blonde hair that was more of a yellow/orange blonde. It was not what I wanted and they were very professional the first time, I'll give them that, by letting me come back a few days later to fix it. When I came back to get it fixed from the mess they made the first time all they did was try to cover it up with more of the blonde highlights. At first I liked it, but when I got home and really looked at my hair I realized that they didn't try to fix what they messed up and what I wanted but just tried cover it up with MORE blonde on the top (even though I wanted brown). My intention in going in here was never to have blonde hair and somehow even after telling them what I ended up with blonde hair. I called back the 3rd time and they were very rude and unprofessional about it, telling me basically it was my fault even though I told them exactly what I wanted and even showed them a picture of the color I wanted. I ended up going to a different salon who did exactly what I wanted and told me that beauty brands did infact take a short cut around what I wanted and tried to just "highlight" my hair instead of coloring it like I asked. Not only did they ruin my hair, but I paid 75$ just to have my hair turn out terrible and have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. If you want your hair colored I recommend to NOT go to beauty brands for it, they will ruin your hair. Read Less

Sadly, this is the second men's haircut that I have received that I have not been a fan of. Granted I tend to be extraordinarily picky for the men's haircut that I receive. I am afraid though I am going to have to look elsewhere. The beauty brands down in Avon does a phenomenal job. I am just not sure if I want to drive all the way down there. I may yet be back here the services received the past two trips have just been not what I was hoping for. Read Less

I have given this place two chances and each time they let me down. Both with different stylists. If you have thick hair do not come here. The first time the girl messed up my hair so bad that I had to go get it fixed at another hair salon because everything she did made it worse. The second time I tried someone new with the same issue. Before making the appointment I specifically asked for someone who has worked with thick hair and knows how to cut the angled bob/stacked haircut. When she got "done" I asked her to please thin my hair out some or razor the ends and she refused! She told me thinning shears are awful for hair and that she won't use them. Which is great.. But it's my hair.. MINE. And when I asked if someone else at the salon could do it she refused. I had to speak with a manager just to get something that I wanted done to my hair. It wasn't like it was a chemical process or anything. They finally allowed me to have someone else at the salon thin my hair out and she was great. But then I had to also tip her. Read Less

I typically shop at Beauty Brands for all of my hair products and make up because it is close and convenient to my home. My hair dresser is also there and she does an amazing job -Annie McCormick. With that being said however, today I went in after doing some online research for some new products. At the register, the products rang up higher than the online price was listed. When I asked if they could be matched with their companies advertised price, the sales associate and manager informed me that would not be possible. They gladly let me know that they are willing to match competitor prices... But not their own?! Definitely disappointed with their level of customer service. Read Less

I have given this salon 2 different chances and each time I had to go back because my hair was pink. GMicheal salon in Noblesville is the best and priced about the same.

I regularly visit Beauty Brands to have my lip and eyebrows waxed and I always have a great experience! :) I've had multiple people there complete my waxing, and it's always been spot on. They are very accommodating with setting up appointments and are quick to get me in and out. I highly recommend this place for a great wax - especially if your schedule is hectic! PS - The annual Liter sale is awesome, too.Read Less

I would recommend no one go here to get color! The hair stylist have no clue what they are doing and will ruin your hair. I went here to get my hair colored for the first time and wanted a shade lighter than my natural (brown) and ended up with bleach blonde hair that was more of a yellow/orange blonde. It was not what I wanted and they were very professional the first time, I'll give them that, by letting me come back a few days later to fix it. When I came back to get it fixed from the mess they made the first time all they did was try to cover it up with more of the blonde highlights. At first I liked it, but when I got home and really looked at my hair I realized that they didn't try to fix what they messed up and what I wanted but just tried cover it up with MORE blonde on the top (even though I wanted brown). My intention in going in here was never to have blonde hair and somehow even after telling them what I ended up with blonde hair. I called back the 3rd time and they were very rude and unprofessional about it, telling me basically it was my fault even though I told them exactly what I wanted and even showed them a picture of the color I wanted. I ended up going to a different salon who did exactly what I wanted and told me that beauty brands did infact take a short cut around what I wanted and tried to just "highlight" my hair instead of coloring it like I asked. Not only did they ruin my hair, but I paid 75$ just to have my hair turn out terrible and have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. If you want your hair colored I recommend to NOT go to beauty brands for it, they will ruin your hair. Read Less

Sadly, this is the second men's haircut that I have received that I have not been a fan of. Granted I tend to be extraordinarily picky for the men's haircut that I receive. I am afraid though I am going to have to look elsewhere. The beauty brands down in Avon does a phenomenal job. I am just not sure if I want to drive all the way down there. I may yet be back here the services received the past two trips have just been not what I was hoping for. Read Less
