went to Nail Lacquer Salon in Willoughby & asked them to give me a full set that's coffin shaped. When given the nail tech I asked again if she knew how to do coffin & she said yes it would be 10$ extra this is the photo of the shape I wanted & what I received. I paid before the polish was on so I couldn't really tell the shape. It wasn't until I was sitting under the dryer that I realized how terrible they were. BUT I am not a complainer and didn't want t hurt the girls feel...ings so I've been letting it go. It's been about 10 days & guess what acrylic is chipping from the sides of almost every nail, the polish is chipping & peeling off so at that point I'm annoyed bc I'm a mother & that's 50$ wasted. So today I called & asked to speak to the manager & guess what his solution was. To tell me not once but THREE TIMES that "it doesn't make sense to wait 10 days" "it's common sense" & "you have no common sense" so then after telling me that 3 different times he THEN wants to offer me a free fill knowing damn well I won't wanna step foot in there again after being told I have no common sense. I had been going here for years. Always had to rearrange my day to wait and wait, but it started getting bad when the quality started declining and the person at the desk was always mean. I went last week to get a new full set, waited over an hour, and one of the nails just popped off yesterday. Went there today, and to repair one silly nail they wanted me to wait over an hour. And the guy at the desk, the son of the mean man who has done my nails before and was not doing a...nyone would not do just one nail. Told me to come back. I put my name down on the list, walked out and I will never ever return. I went down the street, found a nice place where they take appointments and I got in and out within an hour. And they were nice. And I never got the feeling they were speaking in another language to say mean things. I will tell all I know about the overall horrible treatment from this place. Despite the questionable reviews, I decided to go here for a mani and gel polish. My bestie recommended this salon as she and her mom go here occasionally. My mani was nice, included a massage and removal of dead skin and fixing my cuticles. The gel polish was very pretty. The ladies helped me in picking the best color, they even painted a little of their own nail with the colors I was looking at so I could see what the color actually looks like on a nail 👌🏼 The tech did 2 coats of color and was very particular with my nails - much appreciated! When my nails were done I think she didn't get all of the sticky off of the gel, so I did an extra dehydrated wipe over my nails when I got home and they were perfect! A good manicure is really worth the $ (33 dollars to be exact) Also the tech informed me the gel is guaranteed for 2 weeks, if any issues within 2 weeks return to salon and will fix free of charge - nice to see someone stand behind their work I would return to this salon.Read Less

I had a $30 gift card that I used. My total, after tip was $47 - so $17 after gift card. But nope, found out when I received my bank statement, this place took my gift card AND charged my card the full the amount! Unfortunately I didn't keep my receipt to dispute this. I went in for a pedicure and saw that it was $27 for a basic pedicure. While the technician was giving me the pedicure, she asked if I wanted to remove the calluses on my feet, then looked down and in a very shaming tone said, they really need it. I replied "yes" because that had been a part of all pedicures I had gotten before. When my bill came, I was charged $32. I questioned the charge and was told it was an extra $5 to remove the calluses. The extra charge was never mentioned when I was pressured into doing it. I never dreamed there would be an extra charge for this, again, because it has always been included when I got them other places (I go about 1x/month). Really sad that in order to keep their business afloat, they have to trick people into uncharging them. They refused to alter the charge when I questioned it. Will never go back there again. This is the most horrible nail salon ever. Lady who did my nails was very sweet but had NO idea what she was doing. Had my nails redone for free (including a $10 tips and $15 tip the first time) and they are popping off like press ons. Two nails have broken off but have not even damaged my real nail. That lets your know that the arcrylic was thin and the nail glue was extremely cheap. I will never go here again and would not suggest it to anyone else. Read Less

Absolute worst place to go !! The guy that did my pedi was awful .. I had to tell him he cut my toe and he kept arguing w me it was nail polish uh no. I used to like this salon... Until I got Ryan, horrible!! He gave me some made up line that he can't get closer to the cuticle with the acrylic when he was doing my fill because it will "lift".. I have had acrylics on and off for 6 years and I have never heard such shenanigans. I will be going to a different salon to get these HORRIBLE looking acrylics off. Read Less

I'm terribly saddened by the negative reviews here...because I actually enjoyed my experience. I found Alluring nails through a Groupon and since it was close to work, figured hey why not. The location is nice for the North Carmel area. The shop itself is large and bright and inviting like many other nail shops. The pedicure chairs are large with massage. What stood out for me was the pretty pink chairs for your little friends to join you while  you are getting your nails done (nice touch...I see some reward based mommy-daughter time coming up). I had gel on both my toes and fingers so two separate nail techs worked on getting the polish off. This was appreciated because I was pressed for time. The pedicure was relaxing with a nice salt massage to boot!The manicure was also nice and my manicurist was very detailed and gentle. I was glad she did not cut my nails all the way down to the nubs. There are quite a few nail salons around here but Alluring Nails has to be the best one in Carmel. I came to get a gel manicure and spa pedicure this week.  While waiting for the service, I had a good short conversation with the sweet Vicky. I really enjoy getting my nails done at this nail salon. Everyone is really nice and you can tell they care about that they are doing. I like the fact that they have plastic liners in the pedicure tubs and every time I'm there I notice they always clean after each person. I will keep coming back. I consistenly come back here from now and then because other place i visited in indy not compare .i went here the other day with family abd friends to get our nails done for the wedding . The service was great they are very on time for all of us . We dont have to wait like the other nails shops when we make appoiment . I got a mani/pedi here and was very dissatisfied. They did not work on my feet for very long at all and barely even used the pumice stone. When they were finished, I had nail polish smeared on the tops of my toes and my feet were dry and rough. My manicure was even worse of an experience. My nails were not even filed properly. I had jagged edges sticking up on at least 2 nails and a hair dried into another nail. They did not work on my cuticles at all. They only did a quick coat of polish, which left my nail color see through. I definitely felt like this was a complete waste of time and money. I ended up going to a different nail salon to get another mani/pedi.Besides all this, the customer service was not very good. It took a while for them to even greet me, then I sat at the pedicure chair for what seemed like an eternity. After my pedicure, they just walked away and left me sitting for 10-15 minutes before they came back to do my polish. They answer phone calls in the middle of the services and just don't seem to generally care about being polite. Read Less
