Nice staff. Very helpful. I needed to find a foundation for my fair/white skin. I asked for help and was swept off my feet..in a good way. Her name is Nicole. She listed to me, what I wanted, and tried a some foundation on me. She even asked if I would like her to do my whole face so I could really see what the foundation looked like on my face. She even let me try putting it on myself, and encouraged it. I had a great experience. Way over priced. Beautician was suppose to color my daughters hair purple but didn't even color it purple and after a week of washing it in cold water per instructed my daughter's hair is back to its regular color. They refused to fix it unless she paid more money. I'll take her to a real salon from now on with qualified hair stylists. Read Less

My wife was a long time client although is no longer for a few different reasons. First, they have a problem holding onto good nail technicians. Each time she would find one that she liked they would be gone the next time she went back. Its been my experience anytime there is a constent turnover of employees it indicates there are problems. Secondly, her last technician was supposed to be a "senior" level technician although she did some thing that no one had ever done at that establishment or other places (When she travels for business she oftens treats herself to a pedicure or a massage) which was make my wife's toes bleed. Keep in mind she has this done regularly. Third, this same technician spilled the majority of a bottle of nail polish (that my wife had previously bought there) over her purse. It took 20-30 minutes and acetone based nail polish remover to get the majority off her purse. The technician made no offer to replace the bottle she had spilled nor was it mentioned during payment. After hearing of this experience from my wife, I said at the least they should replace her polish. She went back in immediately and explained the situation to the manager. Who said she couldn't replace it. To me this is very bad business and customer service. Because they lost a dedictated client over basically the cost of a bottle of nail polish. That was the straw that broke the camels back for my wife, as a result they have one less client. Read Less

Poor customer service. Unwilling to give sale price on same product just a different size when they were out of the the liter size item. It was seven dollars. My total bill was over $100 dollars. guess what I did? I left it all there for them to sell to someone else. I should have paid attention to the other poor reviews . Read Less

Was running errands one day and spontaneously decided, wow my hair is too heavy and my ends are too gross-- I need a haircut. Stopped into beauty brands and asked if I needed an appointment for a haircut, and the woman working immediately checked to see how soon I could get in. She took my information and I was immediately helped by Cory, who did an absolutely amazing job by the way! He's very nice and did exactly what I wanted done with my hair. Have been going here for over a year for salon services. My stylist (Joe) is wonderful and always does an excellent job. Nice to have a regular stylist. Staff are always friendly and there is always a good selection of quality hair care products. The cost forna hair cut is a little more, but it's worth it because it's cut the way I want and well every time. Will continue to go here for hair service. Read Less

I have been getting my hair done at Beauty Brands for several years. Joe Schrettenbrunner is the best stylist! He does a great job getting to know his clients and their preferences. He has great ideas for change when desired. I have a hard time making decisions about what cut or color would look best on me and appreciate his expertise. I have been in this store three times in the last three years. I seem to give it a chance once a year and am sorely disappointed each time. They are 0 for 3 for even saying "hello" when I have walked in the door. Although there have been multiple employees working, they have only engaged each other and not once asked if I needed help. I will drive to Plainfield (although Beauty Brands is less than a mile from my home) to get better customer service. Read Less

Being raised with a hairdresser mom means I know exactly what I want and need to deal with my hair.  I love this place!  The service is great and all it have to do is mention a brand and if I haven't already made it to the row-  the exact location of what I need is being told to me.  Pricing is on par with salons and sometimes a little less.  Great place to pick up essentials! Chelsea has been my stylist for a while. She did a great job correcting my color and I always like the cut, color, and highlights she does. The manager is attentive and makes sure everyone has wonderful service. The downside is the lighting in the salon area is terrible, it's hard to see color. Read Less

I recently moved back to Indy and my old hairdresser moved in the meantime. I had been to Beauty Brands but not for their salon services, but decided to give 'em a try since I was long overdue for a trim. Chelsea was able to take me the same day that I called in, and did an excellent job with my highlights and cut. She listened to what I wanted, and gave me exactly that.
