I have been a customer here for years, and had good experiences and ok experiences until last Saturday. I went to Nova Nails to treat myself to a pedicure, manicure, and to get a full set. I told the owner exactly what I wanted and she directed me to the back. One of the guys did my pedicure, and it was fine. Then they brought me to the front for the manicure. I told him I wanted a design on my ring fingers and he showed me the 3D flowers. I said that was fine. He never did the manicure. He just put on the nails. I had cuticles everywhere. Even when they were done the nails were super square and sharp and it already looked like I needed a fill. The 3D flower looked horrible. I told him about the cuticles and he got mad and took out an unclean tool and started to cut away some of the cuticles. I paid him $100 for everything. I then spoke to the owner. She asked me why I didn’t tell him I didn’t like the shape? Then she said that I didn’t ask for a manicure and that they don’t do manicures with full sets. I said that I walked in specifically telling her I wanted a manicure and full set. She told me to come back in an hour and she would fix it. So I came back, and she sort of fixed it. She said that they don’t cut cuticles unless they are asked to. I said that I wanted my cuticles cut. She then cut away a small amount of my cuticles. Did not push them up. I asked for a design and she told me all she knew how to do was a flower. She said that the clients there don’t ask for designs so they don’t know how to do designs there. She didn’t fix the fact that it looked like I needed a fill. At least the shape looked better. I ripped her $10, but the service seriously didn’t deserve it. My nails looked terrible. I have been a client there since they opened, around 8 years. I ended up having to go get a fill by day 6, because I couldn’t take looking at them any longer. The nail place I went to couldn’t believe it. I don’t think I can ever come back after this. I have been going to Nova nails for more years than I can remember. The shop is wonderful! The staff is fantastic. I have been going there so long that I never have to tell them how I want my nails, they just know. I can't imagine ever going anywhere else Read Less

I have used Nova Nails for over 3 years! Never did I have a 1 star experience. This nail salon does fabulous nails. From the gel, pink and white, dip colors, their work is great. They listen to what you want, even ask throughout the process, if your happy. Don't listen to the negative reviews. If you are in a hurry, MAKE AN APPT. They take the time to insure quality work!!! Horrible place. Never will I ever spend my money here again. Service took long to get someone to start doing your nails. They do the dip so thin, it cracks. Soaked off a set done by Kim2& it was definitely MMA (dental grade acrylic for making crowns and bridges. also used as bone cement by orthopedic surgeons joint replacement procedures, in flooring products, resins, and Plexiglas. This chemical was not designed to come in contact with skin or nails.) Be safe and go to someone who doesn't cut costs by using illegal products!!!! Read Less

I got a pedicure and manicure here recently and as the nail polish started to fade I realized that I have a fungal infection growing under two of my nails. I am very disappointed because I have been going here for years. I won't be returning. Read Less

My first experience here was less than stellar, but my return trip was very good.I like that they keep the pedi area dark for a relaxing experience.  There's a spotlight on your feet, but the rest is dim.  Nice.Deluxe pedi for $40.  About average cost.  Techs were very nice.  They even painted my friend's 4-year old daughter's nails & toes.  Sweet! Did not have a good experience. Polishing was rushed and ended up coming back after there were black spots on 5 of my toenails from leftover polish the nail tech never took off.......then when he redid the Polish he didn't even apply the base coat to all my toenails. So I called yesterday to make an appointment for today at 11 when they open.  Arrived at 10:58, pedicures are already underway for 6 people and I sat in a pedi chair for 15 minutes before anybody started the water. Not a hello or anything.  So here I sit feet now soaking for 20 minutes and still nobody has come to greet me. Yes, I was greeted at the door and placed in a chair but that's as far as we've gotten in 20 minutes time.  Water I'm soaking in is starting to cool down.  I'm perplexed. Needless to say, if I'm not taken care of in the next 10 minutes- will be 30 minutes since I walked in, I won't be back. So someone just came by.  Checked my water. I said um, I had an appointment for 11:00 and I'm still waiting (it's now 11:25). She says, ya ya ya, someone be with you shortly. I said I have other plans today, which is why I made an appointment. I said I'll need to leave if I'm not taken care of soon. She didn't even acknowledge my comments. Stay tuned. Came in today to get my nails done after 3 years of not getting them done. My mom comes in as a regular and she loves it here. It's really nice. The workers are very nice and respectful too. Its really clean and the atmosphere is so relaxing and calming. I stopped getting my nails done because every place I've been to before have always been really rough on my hands and nails. And my nails are really sensitive and bleed easily. The guy I had today was so gentle and he did a fantastic job. When I got up to go dry my nails I forgot my bag at my seat at the work station and he brought it over for me! It was really sweet :-) Will definitely be coming back. Read Less
