NPG is an absolutely fantastic nail salon with a talented and friendly staff! I loved going to NPG every two weeks because I knew they would take care of me and my nails would look amazing! It's been almost TWO months since my wedding day and the base clear coat of the "no chip polish" will not come off. This is not the normal gel that most salons use. It doesn't just come off with soaking in acetone. I had to get my nails filed down to where there was almost no nail left. I've been continuously getting manicures elsewhere to hide the damage. My new salon told me that this get should ONLY be used on an acrylic nail bed because it's not made to go on regular nails. My nails are now extremely brittle and soft. The only way to fix it is to grow them out. Tamara was very nice when she was doing my nails and they turned out beautiful. But after our appointment I found out that the other ladies treated my bridal party very poorly and weren't willing to fix two accent nails that didn't turn out as originally promised. My girls didn't want to ruin my day but I wish they did because I definitely would not have tipped the whole shop. Read Less

Tamara and Jessica do excellent no chip manicures.  I've only had a full set/gel nails and no chip manicures by them, but from my experience I LOVE THIS PLACE!  It's clean, fun, un-rushed, and they make great suggestions about color choices.  Tamara will happily add a "party nail" to your manicure if you're feeling fun and want something whimsical.  :)  I am addicted! First time here was yesterday-Loved it!!!!!. I stopped getting my nails done about 2 years ago after learning about how dirty and scary sanitation is at the shops I had been going to. Not at Nail Polish Girl... they use a disposable foot bath and disposable files!!!! Loved loved loved my experience there yesterday. I got a no chip mani and a no chip pedi with Jessica back on July 2. I just had the no chip on my toes removed last night, that's how long it lasted and let me tell you, despite being a little grown out, it still looked amazing!!!She was so friendly and knowledgeable. What a great place!!  Yesterday Louise and her staff pampered our bride-to-be and her attendants and made the private party relaxing and stress free.  After the shop closed at it's normal time of 2 p.m., the luxury began.They were attentive and efficient (without making anyone feel rushed).The decor is fun and kicky.  What girl doesn't love purple???I love that they have their liquor license and you can enjoy a cocktail while getting that wonderful pedi.Even more impressive is the cleanliness and attention to nail hygiene. Louise dose my nails but all the girls here are great trust me if you come here you will not be disappointed. Check out thier Facebook page and you can see the work they do. Love, love, love this place!  A true nail salon, the whole experience is relaxing and they definitely do not rush!  I got the hydrating manicure and was so impressed with the time that went into it and how good my hands felt and looked afterwards.  I had Louise do my nails, but really, any of the ladies there would do a great job.  They can do whatever you want, whether it's just a simple polish or an intricate design.  I had a base color with glitter on top and I LOVED it!  I love this place and have already recommended it to friends who have gone and also loved it.  Can't wait for my next visit.  A little pricier than those quick in-and-out nail salons, but well worth the money as far as quality and the whole experience.  A great asset to Wauconda. I recently moved to the area and needed a new place to get my nails done that was close to home. I found this place by searching on YELP and by the great reviews. Called and made an appointment with Louise the next morning. She is GREAT! She helped me pick a color and created her own design, which I absolutely LOVE! She is very friendly and we chatted the whole time, which made it a great appointment! I got a no-chip manicure and it looks fabulous and I keep getting compliments on it and the design she did! I found The Nail Polish Girl on Yelp...checked out her website and Facebook Page and was immediately impressed by her savvy use of social media and technology (you can book appointments online using Vagaro! How convenient is THAT!).  Louise was able to take me immediately (love THAT) and she is awesome.  She is incredibly mindful of cleanliness and sanitation using disposable liners in the foot bath and disposable files.  Louise is extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and does BEAUTIFUL work.  Her prices are reasonable and she takes her time and makes you feel important.  I had a No-Chip manicure and a Spa Pedicure and LOVED it.  I think next time I will do the No-Chip for both the mani and the pedi!  I highly recommend Louise, The Nail Polish Girl!!
