Absolutely terrible technicians. I went there with 2 if my aunts and my mom to get mani pedi done. They were busy (due to memorial day weekend) so they did a sloppy job. The little kid handing out water bottles was the only pleasant thing about this salon. Since they didn't have enough staff, we were waiting for 35 mins (after dipping our foot in the tub) before someone started my pedicure. He did an okay job. He was not experienced. Missed few of the steps. I was observing the steps being done on the girl across from me. The lady who was working on my aunt said "you can not get regular pedicure done. You have to get natural one." I asked how much it would cost. She said, "50 dollars". I said "no". She made a face and said "wow really, her skin is not good at all" ...let me tell you, there was nothing wrong with her skin. Also, the whole time the lady working on my aunts feet was complaining in her language about someone to the guy who was working on my feet. this was my first time at this shop as I am new to the area. They took me last minute and the wait was not bad, the shop was clean and friendly . I got a lady named Kim who was awesome , she was smart and funny and went out of her way to make me look and feel beautiful! I highly recommend asking for Kim!! I've been here 3 times; 2 of them being good. My first visit I had a pedi and no chip mani, both were great. My second visit I had a full set with no chip polish. The nails seemed a little long but since I wasn't working for a week left them. On my third visit I wanted the nails removed as they were too long and were starting to feel heavy. The woman, whose name I can't remember, spent more time trying to convince me to fill them, get an overlay, get a whole new set, etc. than paying attention to what she was doing. She poured me a bowl of a clear liquid and told me to sit for a while. She then took a new client and did her entire job, remove the no chip and paint new while I sat there. Then she came over and checked my nails. They weren't ready she said and then smelled the bowl. And starts laughing. Apparently she poured me a bowl of alcohol instead of acetone. She came back with a bowl of acetone and had me sit for "just 5 minutes". This turned into another 20 minutes. In the end, she still didn't get all of the acrylic off. Again she was too into doing an overlay, whatever that is, that I didn't want, instead of doing her job correctly. When it became clear that I wasn't going to have another service and pointed out I did not find her mishap with the alcohol funny, she just said ok you're done $10. I did not tip. That was 4 days ago and my skin on my fingers is still a mess thanks to the half hour in alcohol and 20 minutes in acetone in negative Chicago temps. IF, and that's a big IF, I went back, I'd only go to Julia who was the tech I had the first 2 times. The gal that sits next to her is the one that I had the third time. Read Less

this place is my go to. one time i went to a different nail salon place to get a pedicure with my friend and one, it was overpriced and two the tech who did my pedi didn't speak a word to me. whenever i go to westview, they always welcome me and they always do a good job. the pedicure is always the best and last for such a long time and whenever i get an acrylic manicure my nail never ever breaks and it lasts also for a long time. i love it here, tina is my girl for pedicures. I have tried nail salons in Streamwood, trust me, there was no place like Nails & Spa. Nails & Spa was my neighborhood manicure place. Upon arrival, the staffs greeted me. They did a great job on my nails , I love them!!Everyone was friendly and their attention to detail. Every tool is sterilized and very clean. My husband and I went there together for Valentine's Day and we had a great experience. The free water and affordable beer was a pleasant surprise. My husband got a regular pedicure with the salt scrub and I got a gel pedicure with a flower. While we were there, we we saw all walks of life enter for many different services. I will never come back here again. Shame on me because I've been coming for years for my eyebrows and they always rush and always miss a bunch of spots, but I'm nervous to go somewhere new for my brows! Well, I was stupid enough to plan a nice Mother's Day with my mom and took her for a mani/pedi. Idk what I was thinking taking her here. Our pedi's started. Some man started working on my mom and didn't even put her feet in the water, just started cutting her nails right away, also shouldn't they wear gloves?. You are supposed to soak your feet first, he had no idea what he was doing so finally a woman took over. My mom never got that cucumber scrub , but I did. Than after my moms pedi the lady starts her manicure while she's still sitting there. Really? My poor mom has a bad neck and shoulders from serious surgery on her spine and neck. She was in pain so I spoke up. Like really, don't you go to your table and chair for a mani where you're supposed to go?!?!? Not where you get a pedi done at the foot tub ( ridiculous)!! Anyways, her toe polish turned out way brighter than we thought but oh well. She did her nails and didn't even put a top coat on it!!! My finger polish looks awful as well!! And the lady rushed my eyebrows, did it in not even one minute. Doesn't look the greatest  and she over tipped herself. I asked for more change back. I should have spoke up but I was so upset. I understand they were busy but this experience was just a disaster. They also had a poor woman waiting 30 min to get a pedi. They brought another lady back after her and started her first!!! I'm so disappointed and I spent $100 on what I was looking forward to a nice mother daughter pedi but my mom didn't enjoy it at all. It was a day I was looking forward too. Horrible service today. Went in for a repair, fully expecting to wait. I. Was told an hour, so I said I would come back. When I got back and finally sat down with the man who was supposed to help me, I got pure attitude. He was cutting the tip with scissors and I could feel part of my skin in the blade and he basically threw a temper tantrum. Then I asked him to simply FILE one area of my nail at the edge so it doesn't bother me and he took his Dremel tool to it. I could feel my nail bed burning. I wouldn't dare ask him to fix the nail because it looks completely different from the other nine!!I will add that I spend around $150 in this salon a month. I Was there yesterday and tech #6 did a fill on my nails. While doing my nails, she started fighting verbally with the guy tech at #4. Mid fill she started throwing nail files across the way at him and kept screaming all while filing my nails. She was taking her anger on my poor nails. It gets worse.  They argue more and she throws a huge nail clipper at him and mind you he is with a client as well.  He then gets up and gets in her face and they are both standing nose to nose like they are about to take a pic for a ufc match. Her blood is boiling and again starts taking it out on my nails and eventually cuts me with the drill.  My nail is bleeding and she don't give a F***. My nails look like s***.  My original girl is Vicky there...she is amaxing but unfortunately was off that day.  My nails are sore and look awful. Don't go to that tech! Read Less

I had my acrylic nails filled at the salon on May 28, 2016 24 hours before I left for vacation.  I had an appointment at 10am came in at 915 (or so) and was taken by a nail tech.  She tried to upsell me to a new full set and I said no just a fill.  I was leaving for vacation and didn't have extra funds nor time.  She was rushed/hurried on my service and didn't do the proper job.  All of my nails were lifting and cracking less than 2 days later.  The sides of the nails were not filed properly, the tips were cracked withing 2 days and the cuticiles were cut on two fingers.  I had to locate a file and attempt to fix what I could do, since I didn't have proper equipment with me, now would I. I paid $20 with tip for a shoddy job of a fill and it wasn't worth it at all. I would have gone back and complained at the salon but I was (and still am) out of the State of Illinois.  This is unacceptable for the way my service was taken care of, even the nail polish isn't thin and shiny it was thick and clumpy and the tech said its fine she needed to thin it out. Regardless, it didn't work.  My fill is awful and now instead of waiting 2 weeks to have it filled again, I need to do it less than the time alotted and I have to pay more to have the job done properly.  Save your money and go somewhere else! Had a horrible experience here with my mom on May 27 2016.My mom and sister had arrived before me, we were getting pedicures done once I got there my mom clearly told the guy I was with her she'd be paying for us. While I was there another girl got a pedicure the guy doing her nails left as soon as he finished. she wasn't happy with what she got and wanted someone to help her fix it all the employed just ignored her as they walked past her speaking in their language poor girl it must have taken at least an hour to get her pedi fixed.My mom and I asked for non-chip pedis I got the no chip but my mom got regular polish we told the guy he completely didn't acknowledge our request to change it we let it go. my mom asked for a no chip manicure the chip started peeling of the next day ! We have gone to multiple places to get our nails done we understand if the service isn't always what we expect but once the customer service was horrible.I had to leave before my mom but once my mom was done she asked how much for both of us they told her 85 at 1st then once she was walking out they started yelling stuff at her acusing her of not wanting pay my mom told them she asked for the price of both they told her it was 65 additional for my pedicure which was all clumpy.Did I mention that while I was getting my pedi the girl before me got charged an extra $10 because the guy self tipped himself.Never going back Read Less

Don't bother.  First time there today 5/24/16. it was somewhat clean & they took my BFF and myself without an appt. That's it for  positives. The experience was not worth the money spent for a Manny/pedi. We wanted a relaxing girls day & it was everything but. The technicians seemed bothered by there job. We had to ask to sit next to each other in order to talk. They had massage chairs which they didn't offer us the use of. I changed my mind about the color & the woman put the wrong color on. My nails (hands /feet) where only filed (not well) not clipped. I had to a ask them to clip my nails. No massaging your feet, calf, hands or wrists. My BFF had the same experience with her person. Our nails look better when we do them at home. Pretty much all bad wouldn't go back  or recommend.P S.. Tried this place for the first time.   One friendly person worked there and of course not mine.  Explained arthritis and my hands were twisted and pulled in all directions.   Best is the dirty equipment she used and I explained I am diabetic so please don't cut me followed by two bleeding cuts.  Didn't appreciate the giggle I got with the blood either!!!  My nails look like hell and I am going to find another place to fix these embarrassing looking things. Turned around to ask a question and she was gone like the wind.   Omg if this was the last place in town I wouldn't go.  It was just convenient and I can see driving further would have been worth it!!  My grand daughter could have done better. I went here about 2 months before I came back for seconds.First time, I arrived 40 minutes before they closed (my fault) and it was all good until like 2 weeks later my acrylics were sized wrong and there was a lift on the tips where the nail and tip had a space. Anyways it fking sucked and I was pissed. Being a reasonable person it was kinda my fault since I was not only a walk in but a late one.Fast forward to this time; i called ahead, I went with 80 min to close and let me tell you. AWESOME! I am way stoked i gave this place a second chance, not only did the lady who did my nails super short cute woman did mine. I forgot her name and Im kicking myself for it! Was so gentle and F-A-S-T! My nails look awesome and this time there is no lift. Oh and i then found out that you have to call ahead of time im talking super ahead for designs!!! i know I was freaking out! My mom and I went to Westview today for pedicures. The management and people have changed since we last went before winter. They have redone the inside and the new massaging pedicure chairs are amazing They had 3 different pedicures and price points, standard, deluxe and special. We had a few extra bucks so decided to go with the special at $45. Let me say it was so worth the money! The do so many different massage and foot treatments from callus remover, sea salt scrubs, hot stones, wax to name a few! They massage and really take care of your feet and lower legs. It was about an hour service and was amazing. We had Vicki and Kim. They also offer you complimentary water and pop now. They have really done a great job of upgrading the décor and the services. I have been here many times--it's my go-to nail salon.It's slightly uncomfortable (there's nobody to make conversation with--the ladies/men are usually talking amongst themselves) but sometimes being alone with my thoughts is a good thing.  (Sometimes not, but I digress!)They do a great job on my toes (I've never gotten my fingernails done), and they are also really patient with my daughter.  She got her fingernails and toenails done here before, and loved the little flowers they paint on her toes--they were super cute, and she was able to show them off for days because they lasted a really long time!TIP IN CASH ONLY! I've been here two times and I knew the first time I wasn't coming back. Although it is extremely close to me, the service is not worth the money or trip. First, I got full set french manicure and bad set at that. Both times the nails didn't fit or wrong size for my nails so you could easily tell they were fake.
