I have been coming here for over 8 years and they truly make you feel special and their work surpasses so many other nail salons. It is the place to go for all your nail needs along with the many other services offered which include but are not limited to waxing, nail enhancements and even include little princess menu services. I recently had my daughters bridal party here and we will well taken care of by all from the receptionist to all if the technicians who worked on our bridal party. Just had my second experience at Anthony Vince in Barrington-- wonderful place! Very clean, and the team there is friendly. This time, had a no-chip mani. Tram is fabulous and very meticulous. The BEST place to get your nails done and a pedicure! The salon is very clean! I get my nails dipped and they last almost a month! They have 24 stations and they accept walk-ins, but I suggest calling for an appointment as they are usually very busy. Ask for Mindy, she is so sweet and is amazing at what she does!Read Less

Anthony Vince is very clean, always professional. However the pricing is significantly greater than the nail salons around. For a basic pedicure, it is 34 dollars. I usually pay no more than 25.  I will say that the facility is very big, and there are a lot of people who work there. It's good for large groups so if you make an appointment with someone, you can sit by them.  They are just very expensive I feel. Read Less

So much for the two-week guarantee on no chip manicure. My nail cracked at the quick the next day. I think it was the glitter polish they used, because it made my nails feel brittle and dry. I've come to this salon for 5 months, and this is the first time one of their polish felt this bad. Now all the nails are peeling on day 4. What is worse is that I called to tell them and make an appointment for 6 p.m. They said no, come in at 7. I arrived early and had to wait until 7:30 and then was told they were closing and didn't have time to change my glitter polish to a better polish on all the nails.Read Less

I love this nail salon, I have been coming here for several years. I used to get regular manicures, now I only do no-chip and I also get my pedicures here. They always do a great job and there's tons of color choices for regular and no-chip. The salon and all the tools are very clean/sterile. Henry does a great job-my no-chip never chips (except the one time I used gelixir-don't use that brand!). You can also get a 10% discount for paying in cash. Read Less

BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!My wife went in on 07/05/17 to get her nails filled and with no chip. When my wife entered , Sara was working the front and my wife's asked how much to get filled and no chip, she was quoted $27.00. After they completed the fill and no chip my wife proceeded to register and they asked for $43. My wife asked her why so much, because she was quoted $27.00. Then Mindy the assistant manager came up and start accusing my wife of lying and the Sara even admitted to quoting the $27.00 and Mindy said no I heard you say $43. My wife tried to talk with Mindy and she would not budge in over charging my wife $16.00I stopped by there on my way home for work to try and discuss this with the manager  and all she did was laugh and say it's silly to come in and argue over $16. She even was upset that my wife did not leave a tip. I said why would she leave you a tip when you over charged her $16.00? She just laughed and said the price is the price and that's it. She was very argumentative and laughing in my face. I told her I would call my card to dispute the difference charged and she stated she didn't care , cause she would just charge it back. They are so un professional there . With all the nail spas out there , I would never recommend going there to get treated like that. If I could give negative stars, I would!!! Read Less

UGH! Absolutely terrible experience. I have been here multiple times and everything went well, until they force you to buy the expensive stuff and reject the offer. The girl I had was new and the whole time she kept giving me an attitude as to why I didn't get a no chip. Finally to shut her up I got it and she STILL gave me attitude. Went in for my first appointment on Saturday, and saw Richard. I got there a few minutes early & he was able to take me right away. I showed him a couple pictures of what I was looking for & he did it exactly! For the first time in the 6+ years I've been getting my nails done was I this impressed. I love love love my nails & will definitely be going back! He was very good at making sure the shape was exactly what I wanted. My review stands for just the services I have received from Henry....I, by far, recommend Henry! I always come in for a no chip manicure and most recently a no chip pedicure. Henry provided wonderful customer service by offering water, double checking that I enjoyed the color I chose, and lastly that I was pleased with my end result. During my appointment, there was a group of ladies there getting services done that brought in their own wine. I did not know this was an option, but will remember this for next time!Suggestion: make an appointment or call ahead. I have been here on many occasions on different days of the week and times of day. I was unable to predict how busy they would be. On a day/time I expected it to be slow, I waited for 30 minutes. I found my new favorite salon!!In a few words: CLEAN, beautiful, peacefully quiet, friendly service, great color choicesPatty was the one to do a regular pedi and a full set gel nails for me--it turned out so perfect! Beyond happy with the service!I love that this salon lacks tvs/radios playing in the background. I can truly unplug, unwind, and relax when I'm here unlike other salons. I also love how there's a distinct lack of chemical smells in this salon. It smells like a normal room, not like a chemical factory! The decor is so pretty and calming. I love how everything is neatly put away when not in use so there's no clutter anywhere.I made an appointment for early afternoon, day of without a problem. I'm not a manicure kind of gal.But some of my friends are. And sometimes they get married.Back in May, the day before one of my friends got married, she brought her entire bridal party (myself included) to Anthony Vince Nail Spa for some nail pampering and girl time.My friend wanted us to pick from shades of silver or pink.... I decided to rebel a bit and go with..... *gasp* a glittery pink! If you know me, you also know that in addition to not being a manicure kind of gal, I also do not do pink. Pink is not my thing. But this time around? I thought it might be interesting to go with it.I asked for a gel manicure. Unbeknownst to me, gel manicures cost quite a lot more than a regular one. EEK! This, I did not find out until after it was done. Grrr. Fortunately, my friend was willing to cover the extra cost of the manicure (thank you, thank you, thank you!).I did, however, find out exactly why they cost so much more:THEY NEVER COME OFF.I swear. I got this pretty, shiny pink manicure that stayed on my nails for TWO MONTHS with no chips or cracks or anything. The only reason I had to cut the color off after two months (because by then my nails had grown enough for me to keep trimming the gel ends off) was for another wedding. Go figure!The entire experience itself was quite lovely too: the woman doing my nails took her time with the color, occasionally massaging my hands and forearms with lotion, and making sure I was satisfied with everything.I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a nice manicure in the area. Infection…Do not go!I went to Anthony Vince Nail Spa on 8/24/11 for a pedicure and the next day woke up with a red, swollen toe. I went to my physician and was told I had an infected toe due to poorly cleaned pedicure tools. Now my relaxing pedicure has turned into a throbbing toe and two weeks of antibiotics! When I went to the spa to advise them of my infection, the manager argued with me and said I did not have an infection; it was probably an in grown nail! Needless to say, I don’t think they cared what happened to me and certainly are not doing anything extra to disinfect their tools based on this information. I will never go to this spa again!
