THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!! FIRST THEY HAD ME WAIT WHILE THE GUY WAS EATING. THEN A LADY FINALLY WAS ABLE TO GET TO ME. SHE DID MY NAIL POLISH CHANGE AND WHEN IT WAS TIME TO DO MY FILL IN THEY ASKED ME TO WAIT AGAIN!!!! AT THIS POINT, I WAITED FOR ALMOST 25 MINUTES. THEY SAID ANOTHER CUSTOMER WHO HAD COME IN AFTER ME HAD AN APPOINTMENT (WITH THE GUY). I ASKED THE LADY WHO TOLD ME TO WAIT, DON'T YOU DO NAILS AND SHE SAID YEAH, BUT SHE WAS ABOUT TO GET STARTED ON A PEDICURE- WITH ANOTHER PERSON WHO HAD COME IN AFTER ME!!!! I'm disappointed by my time at Glamour Nails today. My mom and I had 7pm appointments and they close at 8 (which should still be plenty of time just to get our nails done), but they rushed us the whole time. We went to go pick out our colors and within a minute a man came over and like "which one do you want?? This one. Okay. This one. Let's go. Go sit now." All of the workers have strong Vietnamese accents that are a bit difficult to understand.My nail technician rushed her whole work too. I had to point out to her that she hadn't taken off all of my old nail polish because she was just going to paint right over it. She never talked to me. She just pointed to the fan and the sink and such. Lastly, I'm disappointed in the work because I feel like she missed parts of my nails close to the cuticle...Another woman (who to be fair, was being difficult) was being mocked by a nail technician and it was the most awkward thing to sit next to. This place is awful! I've been getting my nails done for years, and I have never left a place as angry as I was yesterday. I normally wait to review places, because I don't want to say something when I'm angry, but I'm still livid. Because I look young and had no makeup on, they assumed I was a kid, and tacked on an extra, unexplainable charge to my acrylic fill for "taking off my old polish", and then told me I was lucky because they didn't charge me for "cutting my nails down". Are you serious? The guy, Ken, was sloppy and rushing, even though there was nobody waiting. My nails didn't even make it to the dryer before the polish started to bubble up. It was horrendous. My nails were very long and stong. The lady who did my nails messed up the nail polish and had to redo my no chip and made my nails weak and had to spend and extra hour at the shop. She was very rude and kept rolling her eyes at me. I had to make a seperate trip to get them shortened and the lady insisted i messed them up. Never will i go again. Worst experience ever. !! This is the only place I will ever go to for my nails from now on. I've tried several other places but none of them are even close to the quality of Glamour Nails. When I get my nails done at Glamour Nails, they last longer without chipping than any other nail salon I've been to. The employees are friendly and they take their time. They are no more expensive than any other nail salon in the area but they are so much better than the rest! Don't bother looking around for somewhere else to try. No one else is worth it. I had the worst experience here and will never give them my business again. I went in for a polish change only. I wanted Diane to polish my toes and cut them down because she does really good work. Unfortunately, she was working on another person so I got someone else. Ok, no problem. Next, a man comes in to meet his wife and wants his toes done. I was asked to move out of my seat down further so he could sit next to her by an employee. Seriously? During the middle of my service? The man was kind enough to let me keep my seat but then the girl who was working on my toes got up and started helping him. Another customer even noticed how rude they were acting. So here comes this male employee who starts working on me. He barely files my nails down and did a really sloppy paint job. I even offered to file them down myself because he hardly did. Then I went to dry and after two minutes they told me I was good to go. Are you kidding me? I'm paying for a service and am treated like a burden. I wish I would have waited for Diane. My pedicure (I went with the deluxe one for $33) had a wonderful pineapple scented sugar scrub, and a long leg and foot massage.  The workers do spend a lot of time speaking in their native tongue as others reviewers said but this doesn't both me.  Staff are quick to empty, wash and sanitize bowls and the floor around the area after each client exited the chair.  The only drawback was the lack of air conditioning today.  It is nearly 80 degrees and a bit sticky despite the open doors and fans. So yes I checked in a few times here. It's your average run of the mill nail salon on busy Schaumburg road. "PEEK YO CALAH HUNNY!" They do a nice job, and quickly but please nail salons everywhere---CLEAN THINGS UP! I understand that these places are exposed to chemicals, and acrylic dust in quantities that customers can never understand but it just gives a very negative feeling when the place isnt spic and span! Good location, good parking, good work but it needs a neatening up and cleaning. It is hard to relax in a place that isnt super clean. Read Less

I have tried so hard to find a good nail place around here. One is worse than the other.   I was told to try Glamour!   Giving it one last chance before trying a place out of town I went to see Ken.  It was wonderful!!   I will be going to this place from now on.  I suggest if anyone is unhappy let Ken know.  Maybe you just had a moron work on you.   It was a great experience!!! I told ken I was nervous as being diabetic I had been cut a lot by other salons and feel like a baby but I can't afford and cuts or infections.  He was very careful and gentle. I went here on a Saturday and called ahead of time for a pedicure and polish change. When I arrived they were ready and I picked a color. While I felt the pedicure was ok I thought it was werid he cut the sides of my big toe. Why? Several times while having my pedicure his cell phone rang. When I say several it was about 15 times in a row. Back to back non stop.  I finally told him after 10 times he should get the phone. I was starting to get annoyed and distracted from my relaxation time. (I don't get it very often) He never answered the phone and just ignored me. Finally on to a manicure. I had changed my mind from a polish change. After my manicure which didn't even include a hand massage he took my money and tip and didn't even say thank you. He proceeded to argue with another nail tech regarding her slip that she wrote up for nail services. Then he just disappeared. I'm assuming this person was one of the owners. He was #2 station. Jo jo #1 is fabulous. She has done my mani/pedi before and I had no problem. Her style and clothes and personality are a plus to this salon. I would go back for her but definitely not #2. Very poor customer service. I paid $41 total and my polish on my toes looks horrible, my cuticles aren't clipped and my polish is already chipping. After my manicure I had to ask him to cut my cuticles as there was dry skin just hanging there. I asked for cuticle oil and said bye to Jojo. She wished me a happy mother's day and that was a plus. I got home and looked at my feet and just shook my head. I tried to take a picture to post with this review but it doesn't even come close to what I'm looking at. I should have gone back. I work really hard for my money at my job and felt this was a wast of my time and money. I didn't get what I paid for. Everyone has an off day but customer service goes a long way. I absolutely LOVE it here.  Kanna is amazing (although she's just days away from having her 2nd baby - so she won't be here for a while if you come!), and so gentle!  $33 for a pedicure where they actually pay a lot of attention to what they're doing is a welcome change to a lot of the other places in the area!  And they gave me a Christmas gift when I walked in today!  I'll definitely be back! Younger guy did my pedicure and manicure. I chose the deluxe sugar pedi with extended FOOT massage. Barely rubbed the bottom of my feet. All focus was up and down the front of the leg which started to feel raw from the roughness of the sugar.  Wounded one toe and 2 fingers cutting the cuticles. The service and attention to detail is poor. I've tried this place three times and each time was worse then the previous visit. It is conveniently located to a place I frequent for meetings. On Thursday, October 24, the gentleman caring for my mani and pedi was just plain rude and lacked customer service skills. He stopped in the middle of my pedicure w/o asking if it was okay to start on a gel client. When he returned a few minutes later, he offered no apology or concern for holding me up, and no eye contact, he just went back to working on me. Another woman was soaking her feet in a pedicure bowl nearby and twice it overflowed with water all over the floor. Although he was not the one working on that person he had to stop with me each time to clean it up. The other technician responsible for the overflow did not assist. Again, no apology to me for holding me up some more. When he finished my manicure, he just set my had down, got up and went to start on the next person. When I got home and looked at my nails closer, I noticed that two of my fingers were missing polis oh the edge of my nail bed. What the heck?!?! The people who work here are rude, not very good at what they do and could care less about your business. A one star rating is generous. Read Less

I went in for a manicure and pedicure...pretty standard. The price ($30 with the coupon I had) made it that much better. They do have a mani-pedi special (Sun-Wed. $32) and they did seem to have a pretty regular set of customers. Just make sure you have cash for the tip since you can't put tips on credit/debit cards.
