Went in for a no chip manicure. The nail technician did not use sanitized tools as they were not taken out of fresh packaging and instead pulled out of her drawer. Removing the cuticles was painful as she did not use any cuticle softener and proceeded to rip apart my skin. I got my nails done here for my senior homecoming. I got an acrylic set & I'm in love with them! I got excellent service and the price was very reasonable. The salon was clean, organized and very stylish. They had relaxing music playing in the background to add to the spa effect. Wasn't impressed on my visit. The guy working on me, burnt me when using the drill, cut nails way to short, spoke very quiet, place was 80 degrees, and we had to say we were dying and they finally put it on, asked for a design that turned out terrible, and then missed a lot of clear. Extremely disappointed! I went in for my birthday (which I told them) and I went for a fill and a no chip  pedicure (which I told them as well). My one sister wanted a regular manicure and my other sister wanted a full set. I sat at the pedicure station and told the woman I had gel on my nails. She proceeded to use acetone on my toes after I told her I had gel. I told her again and she got up and left. I sat there waiting 30 minutes to get my PEDICURE. I haven't even had my manicure yet. They only have a certain amount of people who do certain things and the management is terrible. Never thought I would be treated like this on my birthday. DO NOT COME HERE. Read Less

My friend recommended this nail salon and I went this past Tuesday for a regular mani/pedi. The tech Jennifer did an excellent job on my feet, when it came to my nails, not so good.  They looked beautiful when I walked out of the salon.  Wednesday morning one tip had chipped, seeing that I had a busy work day I couldn't go back so I waited until Thursday.  By that time I had four different fingers chipped on the ends.  I went back that afternoon, the owner told me they do not guarantee regular manicures.  I told her I was a new customer and expected a repair on the chipped nails.  She reluctantly told Jennifer to do it.  However, the correct approach would have been to remove the polish from the chipped nails and reapply two coats.  Of course they did not do that.  She filled in the chipped area, then let it dry, then put another coat over it, then a top coat.  Well, you guessed it, today the nails that she "repaired" are all chipped on the ends.  While I was there another woman came in with a No Chip polish chipped issue, her nails were only four days old and her "No Chip" was chipped.I do not know why this salons nail application technique does not last but I will not be going back. After stopping by Walgreens, I saw this nail salon and decided to give it a try on a whim! I do not get my nails done often, but I do fI choose acrylic full set ($25) and a pedicure. ($23?). I kind of wish they had a package for the two like some other places but I feel as if it's becoming less common to get a package deal. So pricing ended up being pretty regular, but expected. ACRYLICS: I asked for a coffin shape & my nail tech did a great job! She was clean, efficient, & didn't hurt me in any way while completing the job. They look natural and made my really glad I stopped in! PEDI: I LOVE LOVE how they use a timer to actually take the time massaging your legs / feet. My lady was pretty young & didn't seem rushed at all while performing the task. I think a very important part of a pedicure is making sure you don't rush it because it IS a "spa service."Although this place isn't near to me, I would come again! Thank you so much for the service! I love this place! After moving to Elk Grove Village, I needed to find a nail salon that I could go to. I struck out with a few other places, but when I came across DIF Nails I hit the jackpot. I've gotten no-chip manicures from here and regular manicures, as well. I haven't gotten a pedicure yet, but with the warmer months to come I'm sure I will. They always remember me, and the owner Betty is very nice! The first time I went here, I had gotten a no-chip manicure done and they told it would be guaranteed no-chip for 10 days. Within the first day, I nicked my nail on something and managed to chip it pretty badly. I came in the next day, and without even proof of a receipt, they fixed it for me free of charge. So I normally go here because it's pretty close to my house. I normally think they do a decent job. I normally get a no chip mani and yeah I've had to go back within a week because it did chip. I've had to go back 3 times. I went last week and got a no chip mani. It was done by a gentleman. It looked like he had no clue what he was doing. He made my cuticles bleed. I also chose two colors one blue and one glitter. I told him I wanted to have the base coat blue and the bottom half glitter. He was looking at me dumbfounded. He had no idea, so I said similar to an ombre effect. He still looked confused. Then the lady next to him took over. She had no idea what I was talking about either because she asked me what nail I wanted to paint the glitter. I asked my friend to send me a picture of her nails. I showed her, she said oh okay it will be 5.00 extra. I said that's fine. I felt like I shouldn't have been charged because of the cuticle bleeding but hey I get it, it happens. horrible ! i will never go back. they literally have different person for every step, i was not comfortable with that! i came to remove my old nail polish and redo it with french tips, i spend more then an hour there. very unprofessional, and i have a feeling most of  their stuff works without a license. when i come to do my nails i want to stick with one person, not changing 5 people for one simple french manicure!!!! i would not recommend this place Read Less

This is not a fancy place but it's very clean. Employees are super nice. The most important is they are doing wonderful job. My nails were splitting pretty bad and decided to try acrylic nails. They are thin and beautiful, look so natural and stay great. I love that place. Read Less

I'm currently sitting in a pedicure chair and figured I might as well right this review. I love it here. I usually come in during my lunch when I don't have as much time in the evening. I typically do not have to wait but I am coming around 11:00-11:40 on a week day. Today I came after work around 5:15 and there was no wait. The nail technicians are very sweet and take their time (which I appreciate) What I LOVE the most is the leg/foot massage. They massage each leg for FIVE minutes. (With the use of a timer) So a total of TEN minutes. It's A-Maz-Ing. At other salons you are lucky to get 1 minute. For that reason alone I am a repeat customer!!! Read Less

I've been coming here since it practically opened and continue to be impressed.  The ladies here are very skilled in their profession.  They are very detailed and aim to please every time.  I get the gel nails pink and white and no chip on my toes.  It seems to last forever.I now live in downtown Chicago, but continue to make the drive to DIF Nails because they are the best! Worst pedicure ever. Took maybe 10 mins all together. She was very young and didn't clean up my feet at all. It was so bad I wanted to get up in the middle of it and just ask her to stop. My feet were still dry, toe nails were not filed evenly and she didn't even rub the lotion in for the message portion. All she did was put a hot towel over the lotion and wipe it off. The polish job she did was mediocre as well. Definitely not worth what they charge. Not sure if I mentioned this was my FIRST time here. Not a great first impression. On to no chip manicure.....HORRIBLE. I mean I can't even begin to describe how bad it was. I've been coming here for years, before it was even DIF Nails, so I'm pretty loyal to the place. The owners are friendly and they do a decent job on your nails, however I wouldn't say that this is the best place to go because they speed through it like crazy. I got a pedicure there yesterday and it was over super quickly, and the paint looks great but other than that it hardly looks like they did anything at all. My Ped Egg is more effective, honestly. We were also the only customers there, so I would have appreciated it if they were a little more thorough. I think they have been getting more careless as time goes on, because when they first reopened as DIF Nails they did an amazing job. It's only 33 dollars for a mani/pedi though, which is great.
