I was really impressed with the delicacy and time they put into my nails. I received a no chip and for the next two days they have been chipping away more than I've ever had in my past. I know it could have been one mistake that made them all like this and I understand that, but when I told them how bad it was he asked if I had any time to come get them fixed, which I didn't because I had to work all week which is why I went that particular day. The gentleman offered me a 5$ credit for next time, but then it's just going to be the price that I regularly pay at a salon I love, so I think I'll pass on the credit but it's unfortunate because I really liked the atmosphere and nail tech. In my opinion they should have some sort of refund in situations like that. Or at least a credit of the same price to keep the client. Read Less

The atmosphere is very nice and clean. The the quality of my nails and the price that I paid for them are not equivalent. I did the dip powder manicure and my nails are uneven, they feel bumpy and some nails are thicker than others. My thumb nail is also peeling off, I got the manicure done 3 days ago. When asking advice on what type of manicure I should do they did not answer my questions and didn't seem too pleased that I asked about the different types offered. I probably wouldn't return due to the quality and them not wanting to answers questions. But I wouldn't say this is the worst nail salon I've been to. Read Less

I’ll never go elsewhere as long as Nova Nail Bar is open. If you want crappy nails for cheap you gotta go elsewhere. You have to be willing to pay for what you get, which is beautiful quality nails. Amazing service from the second you walk in until the “Have a great day” when you walk out. This place will always be harder to just “walk in” because of their high demands and appts already scheduled. Finding a nail shop that's open on a Monday in Rockford can be a challenge. Luckily, I found this gem of a place on Yelp! I love when a business allows you to book services online and responds  to Yelp or Facebook messages. Let's be honest no one really likes having to call to make appointments. Nova Nail Bar responded to my message for 2 no-chips and pedicures within 30 minutes. Less than 10 minutes my mom and I were booked for our appointments. Boom!The nail salon is in a strip mall that I've passed a billion times. Honestly, never even noticed it was right there. The salon is clean, brightly lit and modern. I do wish the price menu was a bit easier to read. We were greeted and  our tubs were already prepared. The nail polish selection is pretty solid. Seriously, their no chip color selection is amazing! I changed my mind 15 times since there were so many colors and finishes before my pedicure was even done. The nail technician, Mout, did a great job! She was professional and detailed. One thing I did like is that this salon is not as chatty as other nail places I've been to in the area. When I get my nails done I like to zone out and relax. Yes, they will chat if you want, but you're not required to. The last nail salon I went to in  Rockford felt like it was an interrogation. The no chip from Mout looks phenomenal! She did a great job shaping and painting my nails. Bless her heart for putting up me and my I can't figure out what color to choose!! I would highly recommend this place! Very clean, modern atmosphere. They have all the new "up to date" trending styles! The staff was also friendly and inviting. I got a simple no chip manicure and pedicure, but will definitely be back to get one of their designs next time! Read Less

This nail salon is beautiful, clean, the staff are friendly and everything is organized and chic. Tina did a regular pedi and no chip manicure for my nails for my Wedding this past weekend and did an amazing job! I felt comfortable and confident my nails would look great going to Nova and I highly recommend this nail salon! For sure call in advance to make an appointment though is my recommendation! Took a while to get a response to some questions on social media but after wanting to make an appointment it was fine. Simply beautiful place. I'm very disappointed at the service a received. I called the owner & said I'll be there before they closed. I showed up & was unable to be taken care of. I live very far & drive all the way to thus place, made arrangements with my hubby to take care of my kids so I can be there. I will be filing a formal COMPLAINT with the department of Better business bureau! You've lost a customer. The owner was not even apologetic, she all of sudden didn't remember I called her.
