I moved here in August and have tried probably 10 different salons and wasn’t really satisfied they were always okay. My girlfriend told me about this place and I drove from Dr. Phillips! Very disappointed with my services from this place. I called them and gave them the opportunity to make it right and they were not willing to help me which is why I am writing a review. My acrylic full set was not filed down properly and as they grew out a little bit, they had a very sharp edge. I asked them to correct them and they were not willing to. This was my first visit. I had no appointment and they got me right in. There was no pushy upscale and I have to say it was the best pedicure I have had. This is the cleanest spa I've ever been to. There are no harsh fumes. The music is soothing. They serve beverages including but not limited to the most delicious Vietnamese coffee. The best part is the kindest staff which takes their time and gives you the best quality services. Read Less

Absolutely the Worst experience! I have never been to a place that takes over 3 hours to do Nex Gen nails! They constantly try to upsell everything. Be careful on those pedicures..she will tell you she must use the “cheese grater” and tack $5 onto your bill. Polish does not last! Last set of Nex gen nails for a once in a lifetime event I was going to and she screwed up the shape of my nails. Not sure how a new coat of Nex gens...with no broken nails of my own cost me $50! As a firefighter student and EMT my nails take a beating. Nothing in the past that I have tried would survive more than a few days before being ruined and I had accepted that with my job I was just going to have to accept that my nails would never look nice. NextGen changed that! It has lasted through the toughest of beatings including live-fire training. It is amazing and I no longer have to put up with ugly/unpolished nails. I’ve been getting the NexGen powder dip nails here for almost a year now. The ladies are very courteous and professional and do a beautiful job! It takes a little longer than I’d like, but the end result is worth is because their attention to detail makes my nails look beautiful and last for weeks. I got my nails done in gel on a Saturday and by Tuesday three of the gels completely fell off and two chipped. I went there at 5:30pm Tuesday to get fixed but they were closed instead of at 7pm. I called and lady stated she was sorry and would redo my nails on Friday. Well today is Friday and same lady who made the promise, same lady that rushed to do my nails badly just yelled at me because I took a week to come in. Well you closed earlier than normal on Tuesday and excuse me but I work. And directly out of her mouth I did not have to come back again. Well lady that will never be a problem. They have the worst THE WORST !!! Customer service!! The management in this place is pathetic. I called 15 min before going to the place and the lady in charge said that they were not full. When I arrived she said that they were not going to do my manicure and pedicure and have to come back at 6:45 pm !! The owner or manager I don't know her role was impolite and had attitude. Is the second time I have a bad experience with these people. I was a regular at this place but than...k you so much i will support other businesses!! I prefer to support local businesses, especially in my neighborhood.  MK provides quality manicures and pedicures at competitive prices.  They are careful about the hygiene of their tools.  On the rare occasion that I have had chipping, they have redone the mail free of charge.  I highly recommend Sam and Lily! Took  my Mom for us both to have a pedicure and a fill.  Even made an appointment so we could spend the time together.  Never got to sit by each other the entire time.  They did my fill in the chair while I was getting my pedicure ( same thing happened to my Mom).  It's like they just wanted to get everyone in and out as fast as possible.  Will NOT go back!!!!!!!  Not  a relaxing experience.  The good people are gone from there. This was my regular place. Last few times I have went I noticed they had lost a few good employees. The older lady is nice but doesn't understand any English. I asked for something cute and different and she did her best... Meh. Most of the no chip polish is drying out and ordering new doesn't seem to be a big priority. I think they are good for pedis but for no chip I would go somewhere else. Miss the guy that gave the best pedi on earth! So disappointing. I got a No-Chip done here on Wednesday, it is now Monday and already 3 nails have huge noticeable chips. The girl doing my nails wasn't timing the lamp so they bubbled, causing her to add another layer of the polish, which lead to way too thick nails. For St. Patricks day, I decided to have my nails done.  I'd never done it before, and was excited to see the process.  My husband and I went to breakfast and MK Nails Spa was close by.  Walking in, the staff was very polite and quick.  I told them acrylics with green tips for the upcoming holiday and they went right to work.  For those of you who don't know, having your nails done is a fairly long and dirty process and honestly, having acrylics put on looks crappy until they are done.  It took an hour to complete the process and when all was done, they looked GREAT!  The salon was very clean and the workers clean up after every customer.  I went back recently after trying a couple of other nail salons and have decided no place in Rockford compares to this.  Last time I went back I had my nails redone and a pedicure.  The pedicure chairs they have are AMAZING!  They are massaging chairs which feel awesome while you're having your toes pampered.  The only down side is that most of the staff does speak another language, so I had a hard time knowing if they were talking to me or each other.  Regardless, this is where I will go from now on!
