I went in to Gulden's for the first time today. The salon is clean and I was greeted right away. I wanted a shellac manicure - which I noticed was $35.00 - and I was seated promptly and given the color menu. I only needed to soak off one nail but the tech who sat down to do my manicure didn't seem to want to wait. She removed the soaking cup that had just been put on began roughly scraping off the polish with a metal tool that hurt my thumb and cuticle. When she did the manicure, I was honestly surprised at how poorly it was done. The tech roughly filed my nails and then applied cuticle lotion that she did not allow to soak in or even sit on my fingers.  When she did go to cut my cuticles, she never touched the side of any of my fingers...she would only cut the base of my cuticle and even then, she went so fast, that she missed significant parts that needed to be trimmed. The "manicure" was over in about 4 minutes. She was also not very good at polishing. She applied the bonding coat but then scrubbed it back off with cotton leaving cotton fibers stuck to my nails that she then polished. My cuticles were still rough and you could clearly see them but she didn't cut them back, just polished over them. Once the shellac set, she "massaged" my hands with oil - which smelled amazing - and then wrapped them in a hot towel. The whole process took 10 minutes total and I was so disappointed. The tech was very polite but it felt like she had no idea what she was doing and was just trying to get through it. It was not worth $35.00 at all. The salon was nice and the owner seemed wonderful but they need techs in there who know what they're doing and are willing to take the time to do it well. Don't plan on going back. Read Less

Love this place! I love getting to know them. Gulden remembers things about me and my family. She will ask me about things we spoke about two or three weeks ago.  I love that! Now she has a boutique to explore as well! Awesome! I do love that they talk to me and not around me. English is her second language so it is nice that she speaks only English. I also love learning tidbits about Her country.  Another thing I love is that she will talk with me about the services she offers and give me an honest opinion if I need a service or not. She could sell me anything but there have been times she has told me that I don't need a particular service.  That is wonderful and rare! Read Less

I went to this salon for the first time because I had heard some good reviews about the salon. I walked in with no appointment and was immediately able to sit in the pedicure chair. The lady was super nice that helped me. Service was good. I did ask for a design and it did not turn out how I would have liked. The flowers look like a blob with a rhinestone in the middle. My feet feel like I did not get a pedicure at all, that I just got my nails painted. My heels look like they did when I went into the place. It took me an hour and a half. I am very unhappy how my feet and toes look.  I will not be going back and I will not be recommending anyone. Read Less
