I  love this salon. They give great care to details. I get a gel manicure, and they use an emory board to rough up my nail bed so the gel adheres better. No drill is used on my hands at all!  They are focused on the client, there is no chatter among technicians.  This is my second visit and there will be many more. Metro Nails has sold me, as a loyal customer! ... Today, was my third visit, in the past 6 months ... today, just like my other visits, I did not have an appointment -- just walked in ... even though they were somewhat busy, they sat me for my pedicure, right away ! ... I have had three different employees, each time, and they have all been friendly, professional and have left me happy with my pedicure :) ... they do sterilize their equipment, which is VERY important, to me !! ... and the pedicure was $30 .. which I thought was fair.... Came in to this establishment today, it was snowing so they were not busy at all. I came with another person and we both got pedicures. As there was no one else there we were sat promptly and they began the pedicure right away. This is the best pedicure I have had in the Peoria area. I normally go to Zen, but have been disappointed by them in my previous experiences. The salon here at Metro Nails is clean, and well organized. The gentleman who did my pedicure did an amazing job. Favorite nail salon, hands down.  I've been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Cindy is amazing (understatement)..gel manis are meticulously shaped and painted and she takes her time with your pedicure and is very detailed.  I only wish she did full sets!  Since moving out of town, I've tried a handful of local salons, but find myself waiting it out until I can get in to metro.  Go here, you won't be disappointed. I, an african woman walked in along with a caucasian woman. She wanted a pedi and I a fill in and pedi. I mean we walked in at the SAME DAMN TIME The woman there asked me (african) to come back because they were busy but went right away to take care of the other (caucasian) womans services. This was the best experience I've had in a salon. We came as a walk in for a pedicure and they were able  to accommodate both of us. BEST. PEDICURE. EVER. They were very friendly and initiated  conversation many times - that seems to be difficult for other salons. The best part was the leg massage.. Roughly 10 minutes on each leg! This is my favorite nail salon in Peoria. Professional and friendly service, and they treat their regulars very well. My no-chip shellac manis easily last two weeks. If you're coming during a busy time, it helps if you call ahead and make an appointment or at least give them a heads up that you're coming. Read Less

Walked in and got three pedicures done immediately. Which is awesome! First big qualm: barely any conversation. It felt quiet and awkward. The technicians spoke among themselves a tiny bit, but otherwise just kind of observed us quietly. Not a huge deal, but just a thing that would've added to our experience... Considering the other two folks with me had never had a pedi done before.The gentleman who did my pedicure was a bit  haphazard with his going abouts. The only real complaints here were the massage... Which was him just slapping my feet and doing the same movement over and over--not a lot of variety there. I've had better. He also definitely cut me while trimming my cuticles. Pretty deep... To the point that when he started painting my toenails the polish got into the wound and stung a whole bunch. The shape of my toenails (specifically big toe) is one I've never seen before either... rounded? That's a thing? Oh well. They grow quickly.A pro to the experience was that be was meticulous in his clean up of any polish mistakes. Took a brush to my nails to ensure that they were best looking. No quick drying. Sat in the chair until my toes dried... which naturally meant I poked at them and messed up the polish before they were dry. I didn't bother to get it fixed because frankly, I could've gotten this service at home from a friend. Not impressed overall.All three technicians immediately went to the back, left the door open, and talked amongst themselves while leaving us in our chairs. Seems kind of unprofessional. At least close the door if you're gonna mosey around? Oh, and when I pulled my pants legs down, I discovered the  technician had just gotten lotion and junk all over the rolled up parts of it. Didn't try to tell me or warn me. I had no clue. Oh well. As far as atmosphere... Christmas music on the radio. Clean ish. Generic wall art. The floor was kind of dirty and the massage chair spa tubs looked a bit untouched. I don't freak out too bad about this, but there was NO ONE ELSE THERE... So you'd think it'd be a bit cleaner. Brought my mother in law here. Great service! We got pedicures and everything was awesome.Nice color choices, good massage, and polite and quick service. They didn't offer the flip flops, so we kind of just hung out in the massage chairs to dry. It would've been awkward, but we had each other to talk with. They were clean and they are open on Sundays! When I want to pamper myself and get a pedi I come here. They are always very friendly and they do a great job. Yesterday I went in and asked my nail artist to do something special. By far the best acrylic set ever. They look real. Ask for Sam, don't be in a rush, let her take her time (60-90 min depending on what you need). You will not be disappointed!I also recommend the deluxe spa pedicure. Hot stone massage, parafin wax, and lavender salt scrub. Amazing!It's clean and they are super nice.
