I got a gift certificate for my birthday a year ago from my future mother in law. She past away in late November of last year. I got married in September and thought it would be cool to use the gift certificate she gave me to get my nails done for the wedding. I called and said that I had the gift certificate and could I make an appointment. The lady told me that because the gift certificate was a year old, I couldn't use it. I asked if they could possibly make an exception in this case since it was for a wedding and it was kind of in honor of someone special who had passed away. The lady I talked to basically said "I'm sorry, we won't honor your certificate, they are only for six months at the most." So I ended up not having my nails done for the wedding due to not having money. The worst part is that I was looking through my purse and found the gift certificate. I looked at it before I threw it away and noticed that there was NO EXPERATION DATE at all anywhere on the card. I could have gone in there and they would have not known any different. This really frosts my cookies because I was going to do the right thing and got penalized. :( Read Less
