I had a horrible experience overall. First, the wait time was way misquoted. Then when both my sister and i were finally called for our pedia, we were not allowed to sit next to each other on the pedi chairs because we did not make an appointment!!!! How ridiculous is that!?!? And the owner was the one that had this "rule." I should've left at that point but my sister really wanted to stay. This salon is the poster child for bad customer service. While getting my nails done by one of the more professional and attentive techs, the owner "Sue" sat down to blatantly talk about a client that no one wanted to serve. On another occasion I had the misfortune of getting Sue. Not only did she do a botched and hurried job, I had to literally point out step by step what she needed to do to my nails, because she was preoccupied with monitoring the other clients, technicians and phone. Worst pedicure I've ever had. Started with a young girl "in training," who had no idea what she was doing. When asked for another pedicurist, she was on her phone the entire time. SO RUDE! I took my daughter in here for a spring break adventure! I know - spring break in Peoria?? Well this place provides the best experience we could have dreamed. We started with a pedicure. They have a special room for only 2 people. It was perfect! We were able to talk and laugh and simply enjoy the experience. Then we had a manicure! Shannon and Jamie did these. It's hit or miss but as far as places in Peoria to walk in for a mani-pedi, it is better than most.  I do however find them a bit overpriced.  Ask for Sharon.  She is good.  They do serve wine....so....that helps. Read Less

This place seemed amazing at first. I came in on my hour lunch break and asked if they had availability now. The lady had said yes and showed me back to a chair. She then let me sit there for a half hour and never came back. I ended up leaving after wasting my whole lunch sitting in a chair. When I walked up she wouldn't even make eye contact with me so I just walked out. I have never had such horrible service at a place before that is based on customer service. On my 40th birthday my son was sick so my husband stayed home with him (after we had to cancel our dinner plans) and suggested that my daughter and I get out and do something fun. I asked my mom if she wanted to go get pedicures with my daughter and I. Around 2pm I called to make an appointment for 3 people for 4:30 that same day. The said "sure! No problem!"We walked in a few minutes early and were told to sit. After about 20 minutes, they said they were ready for us. Kind of pointless to have an appointment, right? They took us back to a private room with only 2 chairs. I politely mentioned that my appointment was for 3 people. They then said my daughter could just sit on my lap and just get her toes painted. They were pushing me to do this because it was cheaper when in reality, it was because they were busy, and doing a child's pedicure is a waste of their time. Oh, when a seven year old is sharing a chair with you, it isn't relaxing and using the massage system is pointless. Besides the fact that my daughter was disappointed that she wasn't getting the full pedicure like I promised her. I should've walked out right then. They offered us drinks (ok, nice) but then some random old guy brought them to us, and they weren't what we asked for. My tub started draining on its own, was filled with cold water, and when I told the the lady that came to check on us , she totally ignored the problem. Then, two other women came and sat down to do the pedicures...and then proceeded to go back and forth doing other customer's fingernails, and my toenails. Gross and not relaxing at all. Oh and by the way, I also made an appointment to get a gel manicure. It wasn't even mentioned by anyone (except me - twice). Needless to say, I walked out without a manicure. Awful. The experience I had here was by far the absolute worse experience I have ever had at any establishment in any city or country I have ever lived in. The people that work here are rude, unprofessional and a disgrace to their craft and community. They do not take care for their work or any responsibility for issuing poor quality service. The manager explicitly stated that she doesn't care about complaints or reviews, and employees put their hands on and threaten to whoop their customer's ass in the parking lot, in addition to openly disrespecting their customers in front of a full salon. What a waste of money.  For $33 I expected a great pedicure but instead got one that I could have done myself at home.  The employee barely filed my nails and pumiced my feet for all of about 10 seconds.  On top of this, the staff is more than obnoxious.  When I walked in, the nail stations were full and I was greeted by someone but no one even looked my way and I had no idea where to direct my response.  While having my service done I had to listen to the employee next to me talk nonstop about a family issue while her client politely chimed in a lot of "uh huhs" and "ya's".  She seemed like she could've used some peace and quiet as well. After the main portion of my pedicure, the employee left without a word and someone else came to paint my nails.  Once finished, I was told to wait and let them dry but no one came to check on me.  After 15 minutes I decided to leave.  I walked to the front to pay and someone who seemed like she might be the owner called for the girl who had done the pedicure.  She never came to the front even though it was clear that she knew I was waiting because she yelled out how much I owed, so after a few minutes of waiting, someone else came to run my credit card.  There was no apology  for the wait or even a thank you.  I rarely write reviews,  but I was so offended by their lack of just common courtesy that I had to. Wow I just had the worst experience at this joint and I had to walk out due to how rude the owner treated me in a store full of customers. I originally arrived at 1 pm but noticed they were pretty busy so asked to make an appt. for 45 minutes later since I had a few things to do. I walked in a few minutes before the appointment and the owner asked me to pick a color. I did so and was just standing around because I did not want to sit. Ten minutes after the appt time she told me to sit again and I asked her how much longer. After some eye rolling and disgusted looks she told me "the chair will be ready when it's ready so SIT down". A few more rude words were shared beyond that and I was appalled that someone would treat me that way and just left. Wow wow wow. Good luck if you go there. That was quite the experience. The only reason this place is getting 3 stars is because my no chip lasted 3 weeks and still looked really good.  I walked in with my mother in law on a Saturday afternoon for 2 manicures - 1 no chip and 1 regular - with no appointment.  We didn't wait long but the nails stations were full.  The staff was rude and made me feel very uncomfortable.  It was a plus that they had staff that wasn't Asian so there was some English mixed into the chatter.  The topics of conversation were very 'adult' and there were children in the area.  Someone's fertility and weekend (evening) plans to conceive are not things I care to listen to.  The overall atmosphere of the place didn't make me want to return - although the service they provided was excellent.  My no chip, French manicure was $50. It took me a long time to find the perfect place to get my nails done - Lamore nails is the best! They do such a great job on my nails and always add a fun detail of glitter or a design. They offer complimentary refreshments and really make the experience relaxing. Their customer service is excellent! I have both good and bad things to say, as well as a recommendation.My recommendation is make an appointment, do not just walk in. I have been to this salon twice, it is clean, well kept, and has a HUGE selection of gel nail polish to choose from. Almost too many, I spent several minutes looking at the colors trying to decide. Both times I when in for a gel manicure I was a walk in, no appointment. The price was comparable to other nicer salons I have been to and I like the location at Grand Prairie. The bad, this is where the missing star comes in. I felt rushed and the nail technician did not have enough time for me. Each time I went in the nail technician kept getting interrupted by clients that had appointments. I also left the salon both time with bloody cuticles because the technician was not paying attention when cutting them and was filing to hard and too fast on my nails. The ONLY reason they get 2 stars is because their gel manicure stays on longer than any other manicure I've ever had. Although its over priced and they do not massage, this is the only reason I continue going here.Their customer service is TERRIBLE. I have been going to L'Amour Nails for over two years. I've gotten manicures, pedicures, and gel polish there. The first time I went was before my sister's wedding - they let us bring booze and snacks in, and were very accommodating - we had 7 people getting both pedis and manis. Since that time, I've really only received gel nail polish, which I love - not quite the commitment of fake nails, but they stay on perfectly until I ultimately pick them off after about 3 weeks.  The way gels work is they paint what looks like regular polish on your nail, then have you stick your hand in a little UV light thing to "bake" the nails on. Once you're done, they are completely dried, no need to be careful with your keys or arriving home to find the nail polish has gotten all smooshed. Anyways, after getting gel nails done at a few other places around the area, L'Amour is by far the best. They also have the best color selections I've seen anywhere.....I would say they have over 50 colors to choose from (can also do french manicure, which looks super natural and stays on even longer) - other places I've been where they offer gel polish, they've only had 10 or so colors. The gels run about $25 - $40, with a french manicure being a little more expensive. Staff is pretty friendly, and as long as you pick the right time (not right before Homecoming, etc) the wait isn't usually too long. Read Less

I haven't even gone and I have made up my mind that I'll never go. I called and made a appt which was smooth. Then I called the next day because my sister wanted to go. I asked the lady if it was possible to fit another person at my appt time. She said it was fine. I told her my sister wanted a Gel Polish Change for both feet and hands. The lady I spoke to asked why I wanted a Gel Polish Change on her feet. I told her "because she does?" Then she kept asking , "but why? We don't recommend that because of fungus..." I told her we were paying her for service and asked why she was questioning it. She then began to say if I want a Gel Polish Change it'll cost me $40 just for that. Are you kiddin me?!
