Very nice salon. We had 3 pedicures & 2 were excellent. The third was started 10 minutes later, the lady rushed it (as there was a growing line of people) & finished at the same time as the other two....

I wish there was a less-than-one-star option. I went there last April for a gel mani; All I got was a sloppy messy gel, no mani, and a few days later my nails started lifting. After removing the gel (which was hard as concrete), my nails were yellow with black and white streaks underneath which I thought was a fungus; turns out it was not a fungus but most likely a horrible reaction to some kind of chemical they must used in their products. I'm now under a doctors care because the skin under and around my nails is calloused, cracking, peeling, and bleeding. This has been happening for 6 months now; it's very tender and painful, and I also have some numbness and tingling in my fingertips. Now I've found a wonderful licensed nail tech who has been in business for 28 years, and she and my doctor are helping me get my nails back to a healthy state (as healthy as they can be now. I'm hoping they aren't permanently deformed). I was even told by the professionals that it looked like there were actually chemical burns in the nail beds. DO your RESEARCH about these chemicals before going to ANY walk-in salon and DON"T make the MISTAKE I made!! And to the manager at this salon, please do not offer to "make things right" because I will never be back for any services there, and there is NOTHING you can do to make it right. This has been a traumatizing experience. The picture I included was taken 6 months after this all started..... it was much worse but too embarrassing to share.
UPDATE: Almost a year after the "manicure" that ruined my hands, and this is what they still look like.

Worst experience ever. Walked out after nails soaking for over 30 minutes. They said they needed to because of removing acrylic nails. FYI I have had acrylic nails for over 15 years, I think I know how long it takes. Take better care of your customers.

I went with my two quiet babies. The whole process for a dip manicure removal and gel application was over an hour and a half, which is beyond extreme. About 40 minutes in, after finally the dip was removed, the manicurist asked me if I wanted a manicure or just a polish change. I said a manicure and he goes, “hm. Probably not. Just a color change for you” and I’m like, “no a manicure is fine” and I bickered with him a few times back and forth. I explained that I was happy to go elsewhere if he couldn’t accommodate. He ultimately did the manicure. However my nails were filed unevenly, like diagonally, despite me pointing it out and asking him to fix it. Also the polish was applied sloppily. Ultimately it has been about a week and the polish has already cracked and chipped. Parts are even peeling off! My polish typically lasts a month. The only plus is they have color changing polish for warm/cold. I’m very disappointed about the quality of my manicure, the amount of time he took, and the assumption that I only wanted a color change because I had to pay attention to my kids. It was unbecoming and offensive of him to try to make a decision on my behalf. They were just sitting there playing in the stroller. I will not be going back there again.

Love coming to Denas Nail Salon because my schedule doesn't always allow me to make appointments easily so I prefer walk in appointments. They always fit me in somehow. I've seen reviews about their hasty service being unsatisfactory and while I agree some do rush a bit much, they always do an amazing job regardless. Tony is by far the best and most personable one I've dealt with yet. They do great work at a great price for pedicures and gel manicures from my personal experience.

I went here for the first time for a gel pedicure. I had a picture of what I wanted... white nails with a few silver gems. My four small toenails were done perfectly but he completely messed up my big toenail on both feet... he put green yellow red and silver gems on and not at all in the three little lines like on the picture I showed... when I tried to tell him it was wrong he couldn’t understand what I was saying and just kept asking if it was good... I finally got so frustrated I just said sure and paid and left. Definitely NEVER going back.

Good prices. Very nice people. Appointments aren't exact. Chop shop quality and cleanliness. Very quick. Some tiny bubbles in my manicure. Can't tip on card so make sure you bring cash.

Not good for little girls. Took my daughter for her 7th birthday this weekend. They asked which of us needed service when I said just my little one they said...it's a long wait I should probably come back. Seems odd why ask which one of us if it is a long wait wouldn't it be longer to have adult nails done vs a quick paint job on a little one? Last time they seemed annoyed as well to do my girls.

Worst pedicure I've ever had! Less than 25 minutes long, rushed from beginning to end. My feet are not smooth, barely put lotion on my legs and my polish is on the sides of my nails. $28 down the drain. I will make sure to let all of my clients know where not to go.

Technicians not very skilled. The price for a no-chip doesn't even include the nail to be cleaned up its mostly a polish change. Very disappointed.

This was my first visit and I will never return. Went for a pedi/mani and the tech spent less than 40 minutes--total. Tech did my nails at the pedi chair standing up--bent over. Did one clear coat, no attention to cuticles or filing. Pedi not much better. No attention to anything with little or no rough heel attention. I have this service done on a monthly basis and needed to find a convenient location to my Illinois home and unfortunately I could have done a better job myself. The lady near me at the drying station was going to demand her money back and I must say I probably should have done the same. Save your money--and a lot of frustration!

I personally won't be going back here anymore. The past two times I have gone the owners husband has done my full set. The first time I asked for a stiletto shaped nail and brought in a photo and the second time I asked for a ballerina shaped nail and brought in a photo. Both times he had said something along the lines of "why do you want that shape?" In an unpleasant tone. And he said "well it won't look like that but maybe close" I said "no I want it to look just like this please." At the end my nails did not look how I wanted them and also my polish looks lumpy. Some edges of my nails are rounded while some are pointy. Don't get me wrong everyone there is friendly and nice but the lack of skill is what had made me decide to no longer return. If you're looking for a specific nail shape I would recommend going elsewhere. It's unfair to judge the entire shop solely on the work of one nail tech but this is just my opinion. I'll be going elsewhere.

I have always been a nail biter but decided to let my nails grown. I decided to go to Dena's nail salon because I had heard they do a great job. The first day my daughter and I went for mani pedis and it was a great experience for both of us. We have been back several times and will continue to do so. Prices are very comparable to other salons around town.

I wish there was a less-than-one-star option. I went there last April for a gel mani; All I got was a sloppy messy gel, no mani, and a few days later my nails started lifting. Love coming to Denas Nail Salon because my schedule doesn't always allow me to make appointments easily so I prefer walk in appointments. They always fit me in somehow. I've seen reviews about their hasty service being unsatisfactory and while I agree some do rush a bit much, they always do an amazing job regardless. They asked which of us needed service when I said just my little one they said...it's a long wait I should probably come back. Did one clear coat, no attention to cuticles or filing. Pedi not much better. No attention to anything with little or no rough heel attention. I have always been a nail biter but decided to let my nails grown. I decided to go to Dena's nail salon because I had heard they do a great job. The first day my daughter and I went for mani pedis and it was a great experience for both of us. We have been back several times and will continue to do so. Prices are very comparable to other salons around town.
