Typically I'm not one to complain, but I know the standards when it comes to manicures and pedicures and received horrible service today at Mercie Nails in Palos Heights.Lengthy post ahead: The tech who provided my services was not friendly at all. He did not show me to where I would be sitting (I just assumed the one with the running water was my seat), did not ask me if the water temperature was to my liking, and did not ask me if I wanted the massage on my chair turned on. (Other techs walked customers to their stations, asked if they were comfortable with the water temp and also asked if they wanted their massage chair on)My feet soaked in the water for about 3 minutes, not exaggerating. He barely put any lotion on my legs and did not massage them (I know they do this because I've had a pedicure there before.) Overall I felt that the pedicure was rushed and it was not relaxing at all. It probably lasted about 15 minutes total from soaking to polish. Unfortunately, the same tech did my manicure which was also awful. ( I should've requested someone else, but I HATE being put in that situation). The entire manicure was horrible, my cuticles were not pushed back, oil was not put on my cuticles and my nails were painted horribly.I could've done a better job at home. I was also not asked if I wanted a design on my toes or my nails. It was just completely rushed. Finishing a manicure and pedicure in an hour? Really?As a mom, who gets to pamper herself once in a while, this was a HUGE disappointment. I really did not want to post about this, but at the end when asked about my services the owner simply said sorry. He didn't ask if I wanted my nails repainted or anything, he simply just charged me and had me go on my way.I will say, there was one sweet tech who overheard me talking to another customer about my experience and hugged me, apologized and told me to come back next time and make an appointment with her, but I was so put off by the owner and his response.It is one thing to provide a bad service but another thing to provide bad service and also bad customer service.Save your money and go somewhere else.
