I went in for an anti stress pedicure which includes 20 min massage of reflexology. Im extremely disappointed in the "reflexology" that they advertise on the website. The entire prcocess was okay....there was no wait. They have a nice shop and its clean. The staff is friendly but I will never go there again because the person who did the pedicure just seemed like she really hated her job. She didnt even do all of the steps of a real pedicure. She set a timer on her phone for the 20 min and the massage ..she focused more on legs instead of feet. Which is not what is described on the website. The foot massage did not include reflexology at all and as a customer I definitely feel I didnt get my moneys worth for what I paid. Mom had a half assed manicure done. Nail "tec" was rushing and didnt even do a full manicure (cuticle treatment) and left her nails all scratched up and looking terrible. Poor service. Also had eyebrows done and had them not even matching, the tec proceeded to say "oh you can just draw it in," excuse me? Will never return again. Poor customer service. I got there, guy sitting by front deal didny acknowledge me or anything. I stood there for about 5 minutes then decided to pick color, maybe he then would ask what I wanted. Another customer came in and he right away got up and asked what she needed and I turned around and he just sat back down on his chair. Plain rude. I got my nails done on Tuesday and today is Friday and four of my nails are lifting already. I go in at 6:40 and they close at eight and explain to them what happened and the man tells me that they are booked all the way until 8 o'clock I said well what am I supposed to do because for my nails are coming off. He offers to put nail glue on them to fix the problem tells me to come back in the morning I said I need them fixed tonight. I've been agreed to come in the morning and then I was told that I have to let the same technician who did my nails and messed them up redo them because she is the one that did them in the first place. Why would I want the person who messed up my nails to do them again. He then tells me he has nothing until the later afternoon. If you have a un happy customer it would be in your best interest to fix the problem specially if it was your fault that's just my opinion Read Less

I used to enjoy coming here until this one lady did my nails a few times since I never specify a Tech for my appointments. Each time she rushed through both my no chip and pedicure. Big toe wasn't even painted on the sides...on top of that she acted nosy and obnoxious...staring at my ring and it just complimenting it but asking how much it cost, where my husband bought it, what my husband does for work, and when I wore the diamond bracelet my husband got me as a push present because we were heading to take pictures after my manicure, she kept saying oh you so lucky. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable and went on about it I am going to have a second baby and just crossing the line with her comments. She ruined a relaxing nail experience for me a few times and now I need to find a new nail salon. Read Less

They cannot do acrylic nails, they fall off in less than a week and you have to pay for them to fix it!!? I paid $57 in two weeks because of their mistake and they fell off again!!! I work as a hairdresser and if anyone at my shop messes up a haircut we fix it for free because that is how you have a successful business. I won't even get started didn't even to get to go in!!!! There customer service is terrible even over the phone can't imagine what it's like in person. I called and asked pricing on the sns powder and a acrylic fill together she said she didn't know about the sns but the fill would be 25.....WHAT and she repeated the was pricing for a fill several times don't you think they should know their pricing if the are answering the phone!!! 25 for a fill that's absurd!!! She then proceeded to tell me to call back tomorrow about the sns powder because the boss wasn't in, well shouldn't the employees know pricing I don't understand this at all I'm still laughing at how dumb she sounded! I was from out of town looking for somewhere to get the dip manicure. This was the only place I could find that did it in palatine. It ended up taking way too long, with the technician talking on his phone and playing on his iPad throughout the process. And the worst part is that this manicure is supposed to be no chip, lasting 3-4 weeks. Now, a week later two of my nails have chipped and I am so disappointed paying $40 for a manicure that I now have to get done again a week later. I've been coming here basically every 2-3 weeks for over a year now. I love how it didn't take long for me to become a regular here and the owner, Lee, knows how I like my no-chip manicures. I'll honestly never understand how people walk out of a nail salon with something they didn't want- Are you not vocalizing to your nail technician what you want? At any place I've gotten my nails done, I always give direction to the nail tech throughout the process. This place is very inconsistent. I only come in for pedicures. Sometimes they are good and sometimes they are mediocre. It depends who you get. The last time was it for me. Took 20 minutes for entire pedicure.  She massaged my feet and legs for 1 minute each. Not worth $25 plus tip. They should set standards for how long they should give a massage so it can be consistent every time. Read Less

I had 2 bad experiences earlier this summer and against my better judgement i returned on 09/01/16 due to convenience near my employment....I told guy I wanted a no chip gel set of nails. He proceeded to do a manicure first which I thought was weird and i noticed he put gel on my regular nails. I stopped him and informed him no i wanted a gel set with the tip. why would i get no chip on my extremely short nails. He became irritated and began talking in his native language. He was twisting and turning fingers and when i became irritated he stopped..I asked for round short nails and he said we'll see..what the f**k? ok now he finished and my bill was $45.00. normally gel nails are   $30. this bastard charged me for the manicure even though i did not asked for one because he mis-understood me. Lee the one who sits at the front desk offer to discount me if i return for a fill in and he apologized for his co-worker's rude behavior. Been going here for a few months. But today's visit will be my last. The outdated decor does not bother me but might bother some. While my pedicure was great, I don't think I should have to pay an extra $10 to get my calluses off my heels. I have been to other places were this comes standard. However, my main reason for not returning is my French manicure is CROOKED and uneven. I understand that the place is busy, but I am a paying customer. Focus on my nails and don't rush through it. Run away. Don't come here. It's not relaxing. The decor and nail polish are both old. You will waste your time and money because whatever service you get will need to be done by a real professional elsewhere. My regular manicure took an hour. I will never be going to this nail salon. I always go to one in Mundelein  which I love and they have never done me wrong, but since I was at Palatine I decided to go here. I went in to get a full set, I asked for them to cut my natural nails and they did a horrible job. I had a color set in mind and when they were about to paint my nails, the nail tech tells me to pick another color, they didn't have anything close to it. So I asked if I could get a small refund since I would have to go to another nail salon to get them painted. And they said no, I told them that's not right since i had to pay more to go somewhere else. They didn't care and said bye. Went here for the first time the other day because it was close to work. I was not satisfied at all. I got a no chip pedicure and it turned out extremely bad. Also, after my pedicure was done the lady kim that did my pedicure did not sanitize any of the tools she used on my feet and moved straight on to the next client. If you consider sanitizing a pumice stone by rinsing it off in the dirty water my feet had just been in for twenty minutes I think you have some serious issues. Really wouldn't recommend going here unless you want to risk getting potential infections. Read Less

I guess the tech I had was new because it was obvious his nail filing technique is not as developed as it should be. As he was doing my pedicure, filing my nails down, he managed to make a smooth cut on my big toe. He kept filing as I was trying to pull my foot away from him, telling him he was hurting me. He tried to adjust the file but still he was making the cut deeper (all the while I'm trying to pull my foot away). I know he wasn't trying to do it on purpose, and it wasn't yet obvious at this point that a small cut had been made until after I left the salon.The pedicure had finally ended and on he went to my shellac manicure, which took him forever to do, but it turned out good and I loved the color. Unfortunately a few days later, I experienced chipping on my thumbnail. No good!The total was $55, no tip. I was told it's a combo package although initially my sister and I were told there was no such thing.Side note. My sister does not have Yelp and thought I should share her experience.Previously, she had a pedicure and a few days later turned out with a toe infection. Would never return here.Came in about a month ago for a no chip and pedi.  After a week my no chip was peeling and cracking.  This has never happened before.  When I went to my old salon to get it fixed, it took 30 minutes to remove.  The application was thick and poorly done.  Not to mention for the first time in two years my nails tore like paper.  I was appalled at their workmanship and poor quality or service.I also find it annoying that they don't let you tip on your card.  I went across the street to target for cash back just to come back and provide a tip.  This is too much to do in my opinion when everyone these days pays with a card. I was looking for a new salon closer to our new condo but I will return to my previous nail salon in Schaumburg.  This place was not the cleanest and the quality for services was poor. Read Less

In 4 years this is the only time that I have not gotten my no chip from my regular place which is a huge spa. I will try not to compare the two because my usual place is a big spa and this is a small little shop.  I went in during my lunch break and lucky for me there was no wait. I was taken right away, I was seated in one of the first stations and a gentleman did my mani. I had a no chip on and he removed it, I didn't appreciate that he buffed off with the little drill machine first, he then saturated the cotton and placed foil on my nails. After a few minutes the cotton came off and he scraped the old no chip with his nail, I'm used to my tech using an orange wood stick. He took out his implements out of a pouch that goes into the sanitizing autoclave. However, the pouch didn't seem to had been sealed since the strip on the pouch that comes off when you deal it was still attached. So I'm not sure how clean his tools were, yikes. He filed my nails, trimmed my cuticles and soaked my hands in a bowl of water. I can't complain about the filing or polishing and the guy was nice. My complaints are about not knowing how clean they are. Price was $30 for a no chip and you can't tip on the card. Read Less
