My family has been faithfully going to Magic Nails next to blueberry hill for about 4 years. Always had an amazing experience and always do a wonderful job. Due to the high volume that Magic Nails had on 22nd next to blueberry hill the manager advised that we can go to this one. My 2 nieces and my 8 year old daughter wanted to get there nails done. My oldest niece was getting a full set and a pedicure and my 10 yr old niece and my 8 yr old daughter just wanted to polish their toes. I get it no money made there but the rudeness they encounter was unacceptable. one technician who did my daughters toes advised to her that she needs to be patient and sit still and that if the toes get messed up the technician was not going to fix or redo them. My daughter said she hardly moved and the lady was just being very rude and aggressive with her feet for no reason. I get it my daughter is 8 and a kid but still no need to be rude. And not to mention they raised the prices up on these girls after the manager who told them to go to this place advised they will not go up! When my oldest niece advised she doesn't understand why its more than her usual pay out they told her it was because they were low on supplies. Not very nice to take advantage of. Im not asking for a credit or anything but I will say is that if next time we can not be seen at the magic nail next to blueberry hill we will definitely take our service else where. Read Less

My very 1st experience with Magic Nails was awesome. They were very helpful and attentive to me and they did an awesome job on my toes and nails. However, my 2nd experience was terrible. The lady that I had seemed very sarcastic to me. She made a statement that it was her 1st time doing nails in responds to me asking about the wax, and another customer had to tell me that she was kidding. It was totally unnecessary. She never confirmed the color that I was getting on my toes. Towards the end of my pedicure I asked her to put glitter over the polish, and she yelled that it was too late, and stated that she has already put the final coat on. She also did my manicure but stated that she was looking for someone else to do it. She asked me how did I want them and I said I would like to get them like they were last time with tips, no chip polish, and to match my nails. She apparently forgot everything. When I saw that she was about to polish my nails I asked her about the tips and she said that I never told her. At this point I was so discussed that I just was ready for her to finish. I got so upset that I didn’t realize that the polish she was about to use was different from what I wanted. It’s true that I was looking at lots of colors, but she stated that the 1st polish I picked out wasn’t good and will show up white on my nails due to a previous experience she stated that she had just the day before. I then asked her about putting glitter on my nails and she said why didn’t I tell her. I don’t know where her head was that day, and I know we all have issues outside of our jobs, but she couldn’t get anything right. She then went to talk to another lady whom I found out later was her supervisor in their language. That lady came to reassure me that if I wanted the tips I could get them. I said no thanks because I just wanted that lady to finish. As she was finishing up with me I asked her for her name and she said that she don’t give out her name. She then went on to ask me if I read welp, and explained how she’s in charge of it and decides what get posted. She also said that nothing on the site is true. I decided to tune her out. After she was done she stated that I shouldn’t use tips because they just damage my nails etc. I think she was trying to make up for her forgetting to put them on. All I can tell you about this lady is that she wore glasses because she refused to give me her name, and can NEVER do my nails, or toes again. As I was leaving one of the customers that was sitting on the side of me witnessing everything stated that I should go talk to her supervisor and pointed out that the lady who came over was her supervisor. I absolutely love this place and their work. I have been coming here for about 6 months now and I have never been disappointed (even when seeing a different tech). And this last time I hit them with a Pinterest pic and they delivered!  They went above their way, mixing colors and just trying their best to recreate the pic I showed them. Not a Good experience at all !!! I was not offered a bottle of water or anything . Sydney did a regular manicure for me ; No one suggested a Nail Color for me nor was I offered different shapes for my nails . I had to tell her to trim them to one length to make them look uniform... Then My right hand had not even soaked in the Plain water she brought ; She started trimming my cuticles almost Dry ; By doing this she cut the cuticle on my pinky finger on my right hand and drew BLOOD... The Polish job I wanted done she did not do . One coat of White then 2 coats of Ballet Slippers !!! She only did 1 coat of each , then top coat ...Very Sloppy and inconsistent polish job ... I was very disappointed .... Went home and repolished them Myself ... I have Never paid $16.00 + tip for such a Bad experience .... Read Less

My first and last time. Clean salon with short wait time. However, this was the worst soak off and polish I have probably ever had. My nails were filed unevenly, was left with white dust all over my nails after buffing, polish smudged within two hours. Would not recommend. Read Less

The nail salon is beautiful! Very clean and beautifully decorated. I was offered a bottle of water, Elaina did an amazing job and recommended that I try the almond shape which I absolutely love! She did a great job, took her time then followed with a shoulder massage, hand massage (lotion was nice & warm) and placed warm towels on my hand afterwards. I noticed everyone woman received the same Treatment at the end of their sitting. This was my first time. It WON'T be my Last and I've already raved to my co-workers about my wonderful experience. I love this place. I'm super picky when it comes to my nails I used to get gel overlay and no chip it was $45 they do a great job but we'd go back and forth for so long because I like them super thin and oval so I switched to dip gel which looks super natural and is better for your nails. You only need to buff hem down a little because the dip gel follows your nail shape with a consistent layer and there's still no dry time because the dip powder is the color. Which they have the biggest and best selection of dip colors. Danny does my nails. Tanya used to but she's been on vacation for awhile. But everyone is highly talented and detailed. Love it.Bring cash to tip! They don't take tips on cards. Chase is right there but you cant drive to it from that parking lot so just go before don't forget! lol that's rude and I see people say, "Oooooooh yeah sorry. I'll get you next time." All the time. I have been in the search for a good nail place for a long time and this location did not disappoint! I came in for a basic manicure at 4:30PM. Even though they closed at 5PM they offered to do waxing and/or a pedicure. I opted to take them up on the pedicure. She did my nails at the pedicure station (no one else was around so it wouldn't have been annoying to them) so I could relax in the massage chair with my feet soaking. I have never had anyone do that before but it was kind of nice to get both done at the same time. I specifically had Tina and she was great! She was very thorough, probably did the best job yet on the bottoms of my feet. I have no complaints about the quality of my pedicure or manicure. The location is big, modern, and clean. They also had good music playing. The only negative I would say is that they are very into up-selling. I can't really blame them because that is a good business move but at the same time they were a little too pushy. I like that they don't try to up charge you for small things rather they try to get you to add on an additional service. I was glad that they did offer the pedicure though because I really did want one. I paid $50 for a regular manicure and pedicure, which is a little high but for good quality I'm willing to pay that. It was also very nice of them to stay open 30 minutes later for my friend and I. A good thing to note is that although they will accept credit cards you can only tip in cash. I rarely have cash on me so I can see that being problematic for some people. Overall, great nail salon! They are clean, friendly, and do a quality job. I would highly recommend. Read Less

Magic Nails is a beautiful and tranquil retreat...I went for the first time and Tammy gave me the best no chip manicure I've ever had!  She took great care and was very nice. I don't usually have my nails done (try keeping a mani fresh as a stay at home mom/homemaker of a 6 y/o and newborn), but my husband treated me to a no-chip mani and pedi. A girl by the name of jacklin did my nails. She did an outstanding job. I came in with a no-chip gone bad from a different salon. She got them fixed up and was able to help me with no wait despot not making an appointment. The salon was beautiful inside. A big group of us went for Admin Appreciation Day and they where able to accommodate us all.  When we arrived they where very welcoming and had a private area for us ready to go.  The whole place was very clean and beautiful. My technician did a amazing job on my toes and no chip mani.  She made me feel very relaxed and took her time with the pedicure and manicure.  I want to pay extra special attention to the sanitation at this place.  It was very clean and didn't smell like chemicals.  Most nail places don't pay attention or lack on the sanitation side. While as a person who has worked in high end salons since I was 15, I can tell you that this place does it well.  They line each of their pedicure tubs with a plastic tub liner to ensure cleanliness and they also clean immediately with sanitizing solution after you are done. Regarding my nails and toes I can tell you that I haven't had a pedicure last this long or this well.  I got a spa pedi and a no-chip mani.  My feet feel great and my no-chip still looks amazing. They have a HUGE selection of colors for both regular nail polish and no-chip and I also found out they do the dip nails which I will try the next time I come.  Overall, I was extremely satisfied with both my services and will be going there for future appointments.  Oh I almost forgot, if you have a party or special occasion you can bring food and drinks and they will set up a nice little table for you.  We left there feeling pampered and great!   Just as a FYI they do only accept cash as tip which we didn't know before hand but thankfully one of us had cash. I have been going to Magic Nails in Oakbrook for a few years now. But since I moved to the city I had stopped coming out here. Today, while visiting family, we decide to visit and get our nails done. To our surprise they have opened an additional location just up the street in Oakbrook Terrace. Since Tammy has always done a great job and is very nice, we drove over to see the new place. Wow!! Gorgeous new location, beautiful elegant decor and Tammy greeted us with a hug! She even remembered our names.  I got a gel fill in and Tammy suggested the new Tiger Eye no-chip polish. It's gorgeous!! (See pics) and my daughter in law got a nice no chip manicure. Always clean and great treatment AND the little neck massage at the end is a wonderful added touch.
