Terrible, terrible service. They did a poor job, rushed with everything, my nails look exactly the same. Even worse and dry. I recently came here to get my toe nails done and I felt that the service was okay. I felt many times ignored by some of the staff. Other staff made a great effort to help me out, and that was awesome! I was really pleased by the aesthetic of their salon, the cleanliness, and the fast service with a great nail drying station. Terrible customer service. Website list them as being open at 4 p.m. on a Tuesday, as does Google searching. Multiple calls to the number listed on their site with no answer, and the voice mailbox is not set up so I left a voicemail in the hopes that the number they have listed on Google/their website is correct even though the hours are not. Since the mailbox is not set up I have no idea whether or not I even left a voicemail for this business. So if I left an angry voicemail for some poor sap who's cell phone number is listed on their website, I'm sorry. I usually go to this salon because it is always clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. Unfortunately today, I had the worst service I've ever had in a nail salon in regards to customer service. I went to get just a regular manicure and pedicure. I like no chip, but this time I just wanted to be able to change my polish whenever I chose to. The girl that was helping me was 'Ava.' She seemed like every request I made got her irritated. First, the water was really hot for my pedicure,, do I told her and she made this expression on her face like I was bothering her. She didn't talk at all which it's okay with me. I 'd rather limit the chit chat too. When she did my manicure., she was doing it really fast and very half-Assed, she didn't cut my cutícules well, and she didn't even look at me at all when she was ' giving me a hand massage' which felt like she was just pulling my fingers. Lastly, when she was putting on the coat of polish, I asked her to paint the side of my nail better., and she even had the nerve to raise her voice and say,, ' I got it! I do it in next coat.' After she was done, she told me to sit on the chair so that my nails get dry. And left. Didn't even say 'thank you' or have a nice day. She looked angry. I am not sure what was wrong with her. I had a great experience getting no chip mani there and basic on toes but DO NOT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET YOUR EYEBROWS WAXED THERE!!!! I have gotten waxing and threading before so I know the pain involved but I will never pay them money to put me in a dirty back closet and rip my skin off so much so that I cried and it stung to put anything on it. The customer service at this nail salon is inconsistent. I decided to give this place another chance when one nail tech was rude to me. Don't know what her problem was, but she acted like I was a bother. She was rough with my pedi, rolled her eyes at me when she thought I wasn't looking, and even dropped, not placed, my shoes at my feet when she brought them back to the drying station. Anyway, today I went with my mom, and another nail tech was very rude to her. I get it, lot...s of people are walking in, you don't know who came first, my mom gets forgotten. Now, one girl is told my mom came in first and goes to set my mom up for her pedi. She throws the tray on the ground, walks away, comes back and hands my mom the menu. My mom tells her she just wants the basic pedi, and then this girl throws the menu on the cart as she's walking away, and doesn't even acknowledge what my mom has just said to her. You see, I'm watching all of this happen as I'm getting my pedi. I've been going to this salon for about a year now, and I can tell you that most of the girls here are very attentive and kind. My advice to the other girls with the attitudes: you are working in the service industry, work on your mannerism. My advice to management: please, don't pretend like you don't know what's going on when a client comes to you with a complaint. I won't be going back to this place after the way my mom was treated. My friend and I are visiting from New York, we entered the shop and the lady at the desk never looked up when we entered. After saying excuse me I asked if she had anyone available to do a fill in. She informed me they don't do fill ins and looked back down at her phone. Not only was that a lie because a technician was performing a fill in and it was on their menu of services. I did not have any service done. This is a new shop in Oak Park. My daughter had just come home from Paris, and was leaving in a week for New York. We ran into one of her classmates, and her Mother who was already in the salon. So we decided we wanted to try them out. The owner was rude, and declined our request for service, saying it was appointment only. She did not offer any cards with hours, or suggestions for the best time to walk in. There is plenty of competition in Oak Park. I have never had a problem in Polished which is on Lake Street around the corner. That's where my daughter and I went after being treated so poorly. I'd been going to this salon regularly for nearly a year. Today I went in because my nails have become discolored after a no chip from a week ago. This has never happened before. The manager suggested that I did something to make my nails dirty. Her staff attempted to be helpful, but this manager's attitude was very off-putting and she offered no solution to the problem. I stopped in today since I live in the area to inquire about their manicure/pedicure combo special(s). The owner was busy on the phone so another employee (who remained seated) asked may she help me. She wasn't quite sure about the price by the way she responded. I asked if she had a price list and she gave me a stained one (wow). After the owner got off the phone, she sat down...not acknowledging the fact that I was standing there. So I asked again about the mani/pedi price and she gave a different price than what the other lady quoted....plus with rudeness in her voice. I walked across the street to a day spa that normally visit for my nail treatments and made an appointment with them. They're always professional there...no matter how busy they are. I wanted to give this place a chance since they are new to the area...but with the rudeness and unprofessionalism, I'll never step foot in there again. Read Less

Clean, courteous, kept appointment times and honored them like they are "real" appointments (not normally the case in my experience with nail salons). I wanted liquid UV gel nails, which it turns out they do not do here. (They do acrylic with gel coating). So, once this misunderstanding/disappointment was worked out, I went with the no-chip manicure for my very unhealthy nails.Read Less

First visit was phenomenal, probably because the guy (who partially owns the salon) was present. Second visit, absolutely menial at best. My pedicure water was cold, amongst asking for hotter water, I was laughed at & told "the water is hot already." Maybe she should've been giving herself the pedicure sitting in that water, but she wasn't. & It was far from Hot. Any who, the manicurist begins clipping my toe nails & goes down so far that it hurt. Upon me moving my foot back she looked up & said "Do you want them clipped or not?!" My roomie loves it, and I initially appreciated the convenience, Less than 5 minutes from home, yet the manicurists' attitude's were dreadful.
