Wanted to treat myself out by getting a mani-pedi & I do not regret coming to Expert Nails! Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the name of my nail technician, but she did a really good job. One of my nails were shorter than the rest so she gave me an acrylic on that nail for a discount. I showed her a picture of the shape I wanted and she did really well on matching the shape. Went inside around closing time with a friend, and the staff graciously welcomed us. I think their closing time is pretty flexible if there are customers still around. Got an excellent pedicure and manicure from Sandy - I highly recommend her! She is efficient, thorough and a very sweet person. The owner stopped by a couple times to introduce himself and say hi to me which was thoughtful of him. The setting is clean and comfortable. Prices are affordable. Just thought I'd try here for the first time, checked online prices and saw back massage was £18 so booked it. Had the massage which was very good, went to pay and it was £25. Thinking maybe the prices had gone up, checked the printed price list and all back massages are £18 so I've been ripped off. Don't think I'll be going back there again. Read Less

The lovely ladies at scruples beauty lounge always make sure you have a brilliant pamper experience and feel completely at ease surrounded by professional but down to earth people. Went to try them out 3 years ago for bridesmaid nails and haven't been elsewhere since. Scruples is important to me as having my nails done every few weeks is always a nice little pick me up to look forward to. This nail salon has been in the Oak Park area for some time now. As often as I've gone here, I've never been disappointed. The location is clean, sanitary, and the Techs are experienced at what they do. There are plenty of work stations with actual workers, so even if you have a wait, it isn't that bad. Only draw back is, it is a little pricy. The last time I went, I got a pedicure and a no chip manicure and when the tech told me 60, I was like huh? Apparently the pedi was $25 and the no chip was $35. Never paid that much for a no chip before, but needless to say, it has held up for two weeks and still looks fresh, besides from where my nail is growing in at. Good work and professional techs. Zero. I never got  lash extensions except the strip. Older lady put them on for me. Poked my eye (with glue) removed some with oil- my eye didn't like that very much. Didnt think much of it bc it was accidental. Cost$23, Tipped her $4. Irritated me the entire day. I researched how its supposed to be put on(since I never did before).. its supposed to be over your natural lashes... she put it under my natural lashes. Which why it was irritating and touching my eyes. Took me an hr and half to get the lashes off (with oil and make up remover). Burned my eyes more BC I had to try to remove or loosen the glue with oil from under my natural lashes BC she overglued it on and wrong! Spent $27. In addition picked up the remover from Sallys. The heavy set bald guy that sits in the back of the salon is very rude. He disrespected me when I first walked in by asking if I had gone to an American salon prior to this 1 then he said he could tell because their work is no good. Then he got upset and started shouting at me because he did not know how to properly apply my magnetic nail polish, which I asked him if he know how to when I 1st sat down. Also, I asked the eyebrow lady to wax my eyebrows but leave them full and she made them invisible. Read Less
