I went here for the very first time to get a simple manicure as I was in the area. The price was more than I where I usually go, but it was convenient, so I did it. The manicure was just okay. The guy was done in 15 minutes. No lie.  For $4.00 less, I get a longer massage, hot mittens, and a little more careful cleaning up where I typically go.  BUT that's not even why the 1 star.  Two days later, I received a notification from my bank of fraud. Two attempts from an online business in China. This place was the last place I had used my card. Coincidence? I don't know. But my gut tells me something is fishy. I believe that getting your nails done is a way of just taking care of yourself. You always feel good after a nice manicure. The salon is very clean and staff is very attentive + friendly. There a lot of service available. From your basic manicure to waxing. Oh and they also do micro blading here! I am very impressed with the result too! Ask for B! They definitely take care of you very well here...not like other salon that just get you in and out. For the price, it's worth it. So many colors to select from or if you want something neutral I would recommend getting ombré pink & white. It's has a super clean look to it and they do such a good job here! I have now been to this salon twice on the recommendation of a friend. I now won't go anywhere else. Both times it has been very busy but I was not rushed either time. The best no chip manicure I have ever gotten. It lasted well over 2 weeks. I love the neck and shoulder massage you get with the manicure. The staff is very friendly and engaging as are the other clients. I was asked several times if I wanted something to drink. I would give this nails salon a 3.5 star rating! I came here for a no chip manicure with Bee as recommended by a friend. I wanted an ombre type look and got it. Not exactly what I showed her in the picture but that is what happens when you bring in pinterest photos to any nail salon. What I really enjoy about this salon is that for a design they only charge $10 for all nails. Where other salons charge $3-$5 per nail. Bee did a good job, she made sure I approved of the design. She did cut by filing too hard so just make sure to let them know if you have sensitive hands. (This always happens to me.) This no chip lasted me past the 2 weeks. It didn't start chipping until close to week 4. They can be more expensive than other salons but seem to be worth it. If you are a first time customer make sure to check into yelp to get a discount! Top notch service and quality! This salon is very clean and they are all very attentive to detail. I appreciate the back massage with manicures and that they actually spend the time with a quality massage during your pedicures. It’s a little more expensive but you get what you pay for. Love them! I came here to get a no-chip manicure. And within the same week the color started to chip off. When I went back to them to fix it they were nice about it at first but completely didn't do a good job at all. I didn't say anything since there were a lot of people (thanksgiving week) and also I felt attitude coming from the lady who was doing my nails so instead of being involved in nonsense drama, I left. I had to go to a different nail salon to fix my nails the next day.  Their location is nice which is why I believe they get a lot customers who might not complain much! Went in for my first time with no idea whatsoever with what I was doing or getting myself into, unfortunately the man up front didn't understand me very well. But other than that, I was surprised with the outcome of my nails. They tried to help me out as much, having it been my first time and all. Danny T did a good job!! I think that's his name !! They did such a great job today! I was out in the suburbs and called ahead to make an appt. they are super busy on the weekends so I would recommend you do that (I would note they were graciously accommodating anyone who came without appts). I was getting a fill with gel and I wanted to change up the shape- my technician did a great job checking in with me throughout the manicure to check I liked the shape, color, etc. I will definitely be back to get another fill! I just moved to Lombard a week ago and was anxious about finding a new nail salon that was meticulous about every detail and make my nails look perfect.  After unpacking all of my boxes, my hands were in rough condition. Based on reviews on yelp, I stopped into Magic Nails with my fingers crossed-I always take reviews with a grain of salt. Ivy exceeded all expectations-which is not an easy feat. They always do a wonderful job! "B" is the best! You get an awesome leg/foot massage with a standard pedicure. Such a great variety of gorgeous colors! Normally I would give magic nails 5 stars as I'm a regular and my friends go there too but I just had a pedicure and no chip and couldn't believe how disappointing it was. First, I was cut during my pedicure and the girl just kept going even after I pointed it out (bleeding), she didn't give me a bandaid or put any sort of ointment nothing. I should've just ended it there, but then she did my no chip manicure. I put my hand in the thing and it was just permanently on, I asked her-how do I know when I should take it out or how long it's been? She just laughed and said "you don't, it's stuck and broken, you can use your phone if you want a timer".  I'm paying 70 for these services and you can't use a machine that works? I'm so disappointed!!  She then proceeds to charge me full price for both and that's when I asked for some sort of compensation for my cut and I got $5 off and a giant bandaid, as a regular customer I expected a bit more kindness and accountability on their end. I was visiting family in Oak Brook, IL for 10 days and decided to give Magic Nails a try after reading reviews on Yelp.  The place looked vibrant and welcoming.  On a weekday afternoon, it was crowded.  I was glad to be able to book an appointment last minute for a gel mani and a gel pedi.  My experience started with an unpleasant incident with the initial manicurist assigned to me.  He kept asking me questions using terms I didn't understand like "no chip".  I kept telling him that I currently have gel manicure and pedicure on.  I asked for another manicurist to serve me.  Magic nails management(a gentleman and a lady) immediately apologized for the unpleasant incident, and assigned another manicurist, Jackie to provide service to me.  Jackie was wonderful!  She was professional and easy to communicate with.  She worked on my pedicure and Tim later was assigned to work on my manicure.  I was happy with my mani and pedi.  I was also pleased with their management's quick action to resolve the issue I experienced.  They came back to check on me a few times to ensure I was taken care of properly after the unpleasant incident.  Overall, it was a satisfying first experience of this nail salon for me.  I would definitely return to this salon next time I visit my family in Oak Brook. I was attended right away! Everyone was super nice & explained everything to you. I forgot who did my nails but they were super nice & was sure she didn't hurt me. I got SNS nail, which is way healthier for for nails & got pressed on nails bc I want them long which was $55. Totally worth the price & it comes with a neck/hand massage. First time trying this place out yesterday.  I LOVE that they're open Sundays.  I got a no chip mani and thought it was done very well.  She also decided it needed 3 coats even though I thought 2 looked fine. I thought that was really nice that she went out of her way to do that.  The only thing I will say for negatives is that it is a bit pricey.  But if it lasts for a long time (and I think it will) then it is definitely worth it.
