I came in on a Saturday and was concerned about an ingrown toenail. I was seated immediately and the person who did my nails took care of it gently and thoroughly. Very pleased with my visit. I would recommend Star Nails in Normal.

When I Got my nails done 2 of them were put on crooked and they weren't even shaped right. I wanted almond nails and she mixed almond and coffin shape

Many problems with the acrylic fill I got today. 2 had to be replaced since they were coming off and the new ones were put on very crooked and different lengths than the rest. Some nails oddly shaped ...
Many problems with the acrylic fill I got today. 2 had to be replaced since they were coming off and the new ones were put on very crooked and different lengths than the rest. Some nails oddly shaped when they were supposed to be coffin shaped. A couple nails bumpy because the powder was not spread evenly throughout the nail. Lady doing my nails did not seem to care enough to fix any of these problems

Got a full set yesterday and they are the WORST nails I’ve ever had!! They are bumpy & wavy, not smooth. The acrylic doesn’t even cover my real nails on the sides!! Been getting my nails done for 25 y...
Got a full set yesterday and they are the WORST nails I’ve ever had!! They are bumpy & wavy, not smooth. The acrylic doesn’t even cover my real nails on the sides!! Been getting my nails done for 25 years, these are the absolute WORST! I’ll never be back!

Well ...pretty bad experience ... I tried this place for the first time, bad first impression. When he first did my nails he ask what shape I told him square round he said no square looks better... m...
Well ...pretty bad experience ... I tried this place for the first time, bad first impression. When he first did my nails he ask what shape I told him square round he said no square looks better... mostly because I think he was to lazy to file the nails then i told him, " what if I don't like it though?" He said u can go home and file it ......" I said I guess ... fast forward to next day one nail comes off I come in to get it fixed they tell me they will fix it. So as I sit down I tell him I don't like the square can I just file the corners a little now he says no because then I have to fix them .... it will mess up the nail polish. Then y did u tell me yesterday to file it at home if I don't like it ??? His name was Danny yup this place is not really about there customer service at all I was surprised honestly because they have such good ratings supposedly but was not the case with me. Disappointed as heck. -___-

Clean and friendly inside, but my nails look terrible. Cut them way too short and whole process including cut/massage/polish etc took about 10 minutes.

I.just spent 30 on a gel minicure Monday 7/11 and the nail polish is completely off my nails didn't even last 3 days come on

Horrible experience. The lady assumed right away that I could not afford the service and should go somewhere cheaper. Do not go back to this racist shop!

Very good nail place! Just hard to get in. They are always busy and turning away service. Good luck getting in but once you are you will definately be happy!

To give an update for 2016:Appearance of salon: Very clean, new looking equipment and modern. Staff: Friendly and not pushy to the point of annoyance. Quality of pedi/mani: I am happy with both. I didn't do shellac just because of upkeep, but I'm satisfied. I would like if they had different options for pedicures - they only have one. But a nice nail place all the same. :)

Ouch!!! I usually think a little discomfort just means that they're doing a thorough job, but the lady I had was a total butcher. As you can see in the photo I had to nips and one big long cut right...
Ouch!!! I usually think a little discomfort just means that they're doing a thorough job, but the lady I had was a total butcher. As you can see in the photo I had to nips and one big long cut right along the cuticle line. Masochist that I am, I actually let this person give me a pedicure after this manicure. When she cut one of the cuticles on my toe to the point of bleeding, I jumped back involuntarily. She had the nerve to ask me "what now". What now? How about you stop trying to maim me. Beware of the middle-age lady who wants nothing more than to draw your blood.

Pedi was way to fast, assumed I wanted I Schlack on my finger nails and started process. Did not get mani massage. Demanded regular nail polish and finished. Would not recommend.

Many problems with the acrylic fill I got today. 2 had to be replaced since they were coming off and the new ones were put on very crooked and different lengths than the rest. Some nails oddly shaped when they were supposed to be coffin shaped. A couple nails bumpy because the powder was not spread evenly throughout the nail. Lady doing my nails did not seem to care enough to fix any of these problems

Well ...pretty bad experience ... I tried this place for the first time, bad first impression. When he first did my nails he ask what shape I told him square round he said no square looks better... mostly because I think he was to lazy to file the nails then i told him, " what if I don't like it though?" Ouch!!! I usually think a little discomfort just means that they're doing a thorough job, but the lady I had was a total butcher.
