I Purchased a no chip manicure off Groupon, I called to make an appointment and I was directed to a different number that directly connected me to the nail tech. I called about 15 times, left one to many messages for the tech to call back, even spoke to a person at the salon who said she'd pass on the message to the nail tech. At the end I was unable to make an appointment, I never received a call and my money basically went to waste. I could've just showed up as a walk in but if they can't simply return a call or book appointments I highly doubt they can do a professional no chip manicure. I lost my money and an excessive amount of time trying to get in contact with an unprofessional nail tech. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!! Read Less

After reading the comments I was fairly certain I found the salon I've been looking for. I called and booked an appointment in the salon in Woodridge. Upon arrival, I was told my appointment was actually in Naperville and I had to drive out there. I told the stylist I wanted to be blonde again (coming from a redo brown) and I wanted my split ends trimmed. I said between 3-5 inches would be good. My hair was at my butt so it would still be long. I have never regretted a hair decision more in my life. Whatever they did, her 'blonde' version involved me walking out of the salon in tears with orange hair similar to bozo the clown. To make matters worse MY HAIR WAS CUT PAST MY SHOULDERS!!She offered to fix it if I came back, only to find out she was charging me again. My hair was so bad after the first night I was walking around in 90 degree heat with a hoodie on to cover it up. I was desperate so I agreed. She then did highlights, or something... There was no change from the orange whatsoever. She decided to tone my hair which got me to a lighter orange/blonde with green tones, next she tried an ash color which got me right back to the orange. Needless to say again I left in tears. It was awful. Thankfully after doing some online research I was able to fix my hair myself (after spending more money) I'm appalled that this salon actually left me leave with bright orange hair and then CHARGED me to fix it after they clearly messed up. Every single salon I've been to before have always fixed it even it came down to me not liking it, but this was clearly THEIR error. I kept being told there were students there so it was a learning experience. And in all honesty, I felt like I had to be part of the chapter of 'WHAT NOT TO DO."  My hair is now short, dried out from their multiple dyes, but thanks to Sally's I finally have the color I was looking for. I would not recommend this place. Read Less

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. I was five minutes late and when I got there the lady told me she was going to leave. I laughed because who says that to a customer. Then she ridiculed me about my nails and kept bothering me about why they were chipped. She then proceeded to do my nails and did a very poor job. When she put the stuff on my cuticles Che completely missed my nails and put it all over my skin. A few days later my skin started peeling. A week later my nails are already chipping and look like shit. Do not recommend at all. Read Less

She moves quickly & efficiently, with professionalism & grace. I was sent to Studio 10 by my longtime stylist, who is no longer able to practice. She referred Studio 10 primarily for their use of natural products. Taylor works her magic on my challenging color, then creates a cut & style that is so spectacular, I take only 5 minutes, if that!...AND I constantly receive compliments on my hair! I thought my appointment was going to be with Lana.  Took weeks to get an appointment.  I called over 7 times.  I walked in and asked for Lana.  Oksana said...SIT.  No hello, no hi, no welcome.I went in on a Groupon which stated $40 value.  I asked how much for the no-chip at regular price and I was told $33.  Oksana asked if I had no chip on, which I did, and she said that's $5 more dollars.  I tried to converse with her but she was very short toned and advised that OPI may take an additional 40 minutes to remove.  This was the first time I had ever heard this.  Maybe that's why my previous no chip of OPI did last over 2 weeks.  I did offer my knowledge to her indicating if she files the top of the polish on my 2nd hand all nochips come off quicker.Oksana handed me a piece of foam with some sample nails affixed...she said they are not true color.  They only show 1 coat.  She picked through 4 boxes of colors opening various shades for me.  VERY LIMITED.I finally decided due to their lack of selection, to ask for a neutral pale shade of white or offwhite, something neutral, SEE PIC of color I received.  The polish was bad, almost worthy of tossing.  Very uneven and bumpy  frost.I did not receive 2 FULL coats, but sparingly applied and a quick topcoat.I know I had a beginning chip in one of my nails and was not offered to fix or glue it, Oksana continued along like there was no crack.According to their prices, I received $38 service, but my $40 Groupon did not cover.Oksana could care less how you feel or are treated.I presented my Groupon and her $5.00 for removal.  Too bad, cause I tip great!  Always $10 for no chips.  Not this time!Had to get a new no chip 5 days layer!Oksana, next time, when a client walks in the door, start with "hello" Read Less

Ive been going to Cyndi for about 4 years now and completely trust her judgment when it comes to anything regarding hair. I use to only go in for a cut with her because I've always been iffy about coloring my hair. I would say I am a very picky customer and have high expectations for what I want done to my hair. One day I decided I wanted a change-- I was getting bored of my color and needed something a little different. I told Cyndi the specifics of what I wanted done and she was able to listen and execute the color change perfectly for me. Ever since she dyed my hair the first time, I was confident in going back to her for more color changes in the future. I am so lucky to have found someone that listens to my needs and that I can trust doing my hair. From the minute I walk into Studio 10 to the minute I walk out, I know I am in good hands sitting in Cyndi's chair. Read Less

Not a big deal, but just a little inconvenient. I thought my nail tech was very nice and took her time to do a good job, but when the "no chip" chips after less than a week it's very disappointing. I bought a Groupon for a no chip manicure and wanted to match it with a pedicure in hopes of finding a new and reliable location.  I can't assess the work because I can't even get a call back to make the appointment. I have called as instructed and left messages 3x with never once a return call. I am assuming this has to do with the appointment being related to a Groupon but as of yet, the service is non-existent.  I suggest the Salon stop running the Groupon if they have no intention of honoring it.  If and when I ever get a call back and an appointment I will be more than happy to return and edit my review.  But, for now be aware of what could occur......... It was my first time at this salon. What I came in for was to get my balayage touch up to only the front parts of my hair. My stylist was Maddie Sweeney. First of all, My appt was at 1:15 but she took me back at 1:30. She didn't greet me or ask me how was day is going. No communication at all. I told her I just want the front of my hair touched not the back. She had to ask Erik constantly for help, which made me question if she even knew how to do it. Erik was the one who actually asked me how my day was going.Throughout my entire sit she didn't once talk to me. She was very rude to me for no reason. Since it was my first time I thought they would put me with someone who actually knew what they were doing instead of someone right out of school. I wanted to give her a chance but her actions made me not trust her with my hair. She didn't walk me through what she was doing with my hair. I really didn't even know why she was doing my whole head when all I asked for was the front. Once she washed me out, I honestly could barely tell she even did my hair. This is when the manager came over and told her to just do the front part with the foil. During this second part, she still didn't talk to me. She rolled her eyes at me, had attitude and just walked away and when she would check on my hair she didn't tell me how much longer it would be or anything. I even overheard her talking to me to other clients and other coworkers. When it was time to pay they originally told me it would be $65 on the phone when I called. But then it changed to $90. I did not agree to that at all because of such an unprofessional person she was. They had to bring two managers. And during this time Maddie, was rolling her eyes at me and saying I didn't stop her and ask her what she was doing to my hair. Totally rude and unprofessional. The manager said just to charge me $65 and that's what I paid. This was the worst salon experience I have ever had. I will not be back. If you do go to this salon, I would definitely recommend Erik. Do not go to Maddie. She has horrible service. Read Less

The location is good and studio is cute, snd girl who did my hair was very friendly. I went in for a keratin & cut with a Groupon, since the keratin treatments are expensive. I have had two previous keratin treatments at two different locations completed similarly, and I could tell this one was being done differently and asked questions as to why. Was not given clear answers, but anyway. I left and went through my 72 hours of doing nothing to my hair but brush it, and it seems like other than the fact it is softer, it did not help with the frizz at all. I just wonder if it was done 'cheaply' due to the Groupon, or did this girl not know how to do it. I did like the haircut I received, but the keratin treatment was a waste of time and money. :( Read Less

I had seen many Groupons for Studio 10 before which made me hesitant in going. It made it look to me like they needed the business. My normal stylist at another salon changed her hours so I had to find another one. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on a new stylist if I didn't like their work so I decided a Groupon was my best bet. I read Studio 10's reviews here on Yelp and bought one. I ended up, by chance, booking an appointment with Eric. I had lighter brown hair with some shinelights/peekaboos as well as gray roots and wanted to go to a simple chocolate brown. I told Eric that my hair pulls red naturally and didn't want that. Then, he pulled out a swatchboard of haircolors and said I can do any of them with total confidence. After he told me about his experience and love of the business I left it up to him. My hair turned out JUST the color I wanted and it was shiny and soft....wonderful!The best part of the visit was I originally told Eric I didn't mean to be rude but when I get my hair done I really just like to relax and not chat which he was very understanding about. BUT...after a few words here and there I WANTED to visit with him! He was very fun, inspiring and just a pleasure to talk with. There amazing talent and light hearted personalities keeps me going back over & over again regardless of our recent move which makes it not as close of a location anymore! TLDR; Rose talks a lot. Says a lot of offensive things. This took longer than I had carved out of my schedule for.1. I asked if I can move my appointment to the following day because I had class. She said no because she was so booked (understandable) and then went on to say how she is probably going to stop using Groupon because it's overbooking her. If I wanted to keep changing my appointment, she might as well send me to her friend who has 10 stylists so I can do whatever I want (unprofessional).2. The appointment took 2 hours. 3. I was on my phone texting for a little bit... I have a privacy screen on it and she asked me "How do you even see on that?" I can see it, there's a reason you can't.4. She told me she has a masque treatment to clear my acne. I'm kind of self conscious about my face. It's not as bad as I thought it was.. Basically trying to sell me a $39 dollar facial which, I understand, it's a business. But... I didn't ask for it. 5. She talked about herself, A LOT. And how she works 80 hour weeks... This was a common subject throughout the 2 hours. I was really ok with sitting in silence.6. She answered her phone while doing my hair. 7. FORGOT TO ADD: She asked if my mom went to a special temple to pray that I got married soon. Ignorant, stupid or racist? Either way, out of line and annoying. ALSO:I went for a deep conditioning treatment. It went really well. My hair is a lot softer. However, I never put heat on my hair because it damages it. After she blow dried it I really like the little bit of curl that was in there and I asked her to  leave it. She said "I want to straighten your hair". I know I should have put my foot down, but I let her do it. I think she realized her mistake and tried to put some curls at the end with the flat iron but it didn't really stick. I was not happy about that because, heat on the ends?? Isn't that the whole reason I got my hair cut? To keep the ends healthy and new?? Read Less

I just came from an appointment with Eric Estrada, and I really can't say enough good things. This is the best cut and highlights I've ever had. I got their Groupon looking for a new place, and I am happy I went to Studio 10. I am thrilled with the results, especially because I am particular about my long hair (hair all the way down my back). Eric was professional and very considerate. He sat and talked with me first to make sure he knew and understood what I wanted done and offered his own insight and expertise as to what he thought would make my baby-fine look fullest. He knew to tell me that a cut I had in mind wouldn't get the full body look results I wanted. My hair looks amazing, is soft, and full, and has great honey blonde highlights. Eric is very knowledgeable and talented. Also, I tend to be sensitive to hair colors because I have allergies, so when I have gotten my hair colored in the past at other salons the dye would cause a burning feeling and make me sneeze a ton. Studio 10 uses ammonia free color, and this is the first time I felt fine while getting my hair done. Read Less

Like many of the other reviews here, I too bought a groupon for Studio 10.  I wanted to treat myself to a facial.  I waited months and months to use it and it was close to expiring so I finally made my appointment to go in.  They are not open every day of the week so keep that in mind upon booking your appointment.I was able to get an early 9:30 appt with Emily for a facial but told to show up at 9:15 as I was new to the place and fill out paperwork.  Given the early time for downtown Naperville I was able to get a parking spot right in front of the place.  When you walk in it is a little weird - there is no reception desk so I had to interrupt one of the hair stylists washing someone's hair to say I was there for my appointment.  Well, there is a small desk I learned later when I was checking out but it's IN the salon part of the place when you walk in...to the right.  The set up is just strange compared to other salons I've been to, even just to visit because I bought a groupon.So I went in for my facial with Emily - she was friendly, made conversation but not too much as the facial experience is one to be relaxing...extractions weren't part of this particular facial, but I got a pretty damn good face, shoulder, and head massage.  The only downside was due to the set up here, you could hear lots of talking and chatter from the other end of the place during the facial...it was a little hard to relax fully.I did book another appointment for a facial, just not sure if it will work with my schedule after booking it but they do call to confirm in advance. I called about 15 times, left one to many messages for the tech to call back, even spoke to a person at the salon who said she'd pass on the message to the nail tech. At the end I was unable to make an appointment, I never received a call and my money basically went to waste. I could've just showed up as a walk in but if they can't simply return a call or book appointments I highly doubt they can do a professional no chip manicure. After reading the comments I was fairly certain I found the salon I've been looking for. I called and booked an appointment in the salon in Woodridge. Upon arrival, I was told my appointment was actually in Naperville and I had to drive out there. I told the stylist I wanted to be blonde again (coming from a redo brown) and I wanted my split ends trimmed. I said between 3-5 inches would be good. My hair was at my butt so it would still be long. I have never regretted a hair decision more in my life. Whatever they did, her 'blonde' version involved me walking out of the salon in tears with orange hair similar to bozo the clown. To make matters worse MY HAIR WAS CUT PAST MY SHOULDERS!!She offered to fix it if I came back, only to find out she was charging me again. My hair was so bad after the first night I was walking around in 90 degree heat with a hoodie on to cover it up. I was desperate so I agreed. She then did highlights, or something... There was no change from the orange whatsoever. She decided to tone my hair which got me to a lighter orange/blonde with green tones, next she tried an ash color which got me right back to the orange. Needless to say again I left in tears. It was awful. Thankfully after doing some online research I was able to fix my hair myself (after spending more money) I'm appalled that this salon actually left me leave with bright orange hair and then CHARGED me to fix it after they clearly messed up. Every single salon I've been to before have always fixed it even it came down to me not liking it, but this was clearly THEIR error. I kept being told there were students there so it was a learning experience. And in all honesty, I felt like I had to be part of the chapter of 'WHAT NOT TO DO."  My hair is now short, dried out from their multiple dyes, but thanks to Sally's I finally have the color I was looking for. Then she ridiculed me about my nails and kept bothering me about why they were chipped. She then proceeded to do my nails and did a very poor job. When she put the stuff on my cuticles Che completely missed my nails and put it all over my skin. A few days later my skin started peeling. I thought my appointment was going to be with Lana.  Took weeks to get an appointment.  I called over 7 times.  I walked in and asked for Lana.  Oksana said...SIT.  No hello, no hi, no welcome.I went in on a Groupon which stated $40 value.  I asked how much for the no-chip at regular price and I was told $33.  Oksana asked if I had no chip on, which I did, and she said that's $5 more dollars.  I tried to converse with her but she was very short toned and advised that OPI may take an additional 40 minutes to remove.  This was the first time I had ever heard this.  Maybe that's why my previous no chip of OPI did last over 2 weeks.  I did offer my knowledge to her indicating if she files the top of the polish on my 2nd hand all nochips come off quicker.Oksana handed me a piece of foam with some sample nails affixed...she said they are not true color.  They only show 1 coat.  She picked through 4 boxes of colors opening various shades for me.  VERY LIMITED.I finally decided due to their lack of selection, to ask for a neutral pale shade of white or offwhite, something neutral, SEE PIC of color I received.  The polish was bad, almost worthy of tossing.  Very uneven and bumpy  frost.I did not receive 2 FULL coats, but sparingly applied and a quick topcoat.I know I had a beginning chip in one of my nails and was not offered to fix or glue it, Oksana continued along like there was no crack.According to their prices, I received $38 service, but my $40 Groupon did not cover.Oksana could care less how you feel or are treated.I presented my Groupon and her $5.00 for removal.  Too bad, cause I tip great!  Always $10 for no chips.  Not this time!Had to get a new no chip 5 days layer!Oksana, next time, when a client walks in the door, start with "hello" Read Less

Ive been going to Cyndi for about 4 years now and completely trust her judgment when it comes to anything regarding hair. I use to only go in for a cut with her because I've always been iffy about coloring my hair. I would say I am a very picky customer and have high expectations for what I want done to my hair. One day I decided I wanted a change-- I was getting bored of my color and needed something a little different. I told Cyndi the specifics of what I wanted done and she was able to listen and execute the color change perfectly for me. Ever since she dyed my hair the first time, I was confident in going back to her for more color changes in the future. I am so lucky to have found someone that listens to my needs and that I can trust doing my hair. I have called as instructed and left messages 3x with never once a return call. It was my first time at this salon. What I came in for was to get my balayage touch up to only the front parts of my hair. My stylist was Maddie Sweeney. First of all, My appt was at 1:15 but she took me back at 1:30. She didn't greet me or ask me how was day is going. No communication at all. I told her I just want the front of my hair touched not the back. She had to ask Erik constantly for help, which made me question if she even knew how to do it. Erik was the one who actually asked me how my day was going.Throughout my entire sit she didn't once talk to me. She was very rude to me for no reason. Since it was my first time I thought they would put me with someone who actually knew what they were doing instead of someone right out of school. I wanted to give her a chance but her actions made me not trust her with my hair. She didn't walk me through what she was doing with my hair. I really didn't even know why she was doing my whole head when all I asked for was the front. Once she washed me out, I honestly could barely tell she even did my hair. This is when the manager came over and told her to just do the front part with the foil. During this second part, she still didn't talk to me. She rolled her eyes at me, had attitude and just walked away and when she would check on my hair she didn't tell me how much longer it would be or anything. I even overheard her talking to me to other clients and other coworkers. When it was time to pay they originally told me it would be $65 on the phone when I called. But then it changed to $90. I did not agree to that at all because of such an unprofessional person she was. They had to bring two managers. And during this time Maddie, was rolling her eyes at me and saying I didn't stop her and ask her what she was doing to my hair. Totally rude and unprofessional. The manager said just to charge me $65 and that's what I paid. This was the worst salon experience I have ever had. I will not be back. If you do go to this salon, I would definitely recommend Erik. I have had two previous keratin treatments at two different locations completed similarly, and I could tell this one was being done differently and asked questions as to why. Was not given clear answers, but anyway. I left and went through my 72 hours of doing nothing to my hair but brush it, and it seems like other than the fact it is softer, it did not help with the frizz at all. I just wonder if it was done 'cheaply' due to the Groupon, or did this girl not know how to do it. I did like the haircut I received, but the keratin treatment was a waste of time and money. :( Read Less

I had seen many Groupons for Studio 10 before which made me hesitant in going. It made it look to me like they needed the business. My normal stylist at another salon changed her hours so I had to find another one. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on a new stylist if I didn't like their work so I decided a Groupon was my best bet. I read Studio 10's reviews here on Yelp and bought one. I ended up, by chance, booking an appointment with Eric. I had lighter brown hair with some shinelights/peekaboos as well as gray roots and wanted to go to a simple chocolate brown. I told Eric that my hair pulls red naturally and didn't want that. Then, he pulled out a swatchboard of haircolors and said I can do any of them with total confidence. After he told me about his experience and love of the business I left it up to him. My hair turned out JUST the color I wanted and it was shiny and soft....wonderful!The best part of the visit was I originally told Eric I didn't mean to be rude but when I get my hair done I really just like to relax and not chat which he was very understanding about. BUT...after a few words here and there I WANTED to visit with him! He was very fun, inspiring and just a pleasure to talk with. TLDR; Rose talks a lot. Says a lot of offensive things. This took longer than I had carved out of my schedule for.1. I asked if I can move my appointment to the following day because I had class. She said no because she was so booked (understandable) and then went on to say how she is probably going to stop using Groupon because it's overbooking her. If I wanted to keep changing my appointment, she might as well send me to her friend who has 10 stylists so I can do whatever I want (unprofessional).2. The appointment took 2 hours. 3. I was on my phone texting for a little bit... I have a privacy screen on it and she asked me "How do you even see on that?" I can see it, there's a reason you can't.4. She told me she has a masque treatment to clear my acne. I'm kind of self conscious about my face. It's not as bad as I thought it was.. Basically trying to sell me a $39 dollar facial which, I understand, it's a business. But... I didn't ask for it. 5. She talked about herself, A LOT. And how she works 80 hour weeks... This was a common subject throughout the 2 hours. I was really ok with sitting in silence.6. She answered her phone while doing my hair. 7. FORGOT TO ADD: She asked if my mom went to a special temple to pray that I got married soon. Ignorant, stupid or racist? Either way, out of line and annoying. ALSO:I went for a deep conditioning treatment. It went really well. My hair is a lot softer. However, I never put heat on my hair because it damages it. After she blow dried it I really like the little bit of curl that was in there and I asked her to  leave it. She said "I want to straighten your hair". I know I should have put my foot down, but I let her do it. I think she realized her mistake and tried to put some curls at the end with the flat iron but it didn't really stick. I was not happy about that because, heat on the ends?? Isn't that the whole reason I got my hair cut? To keep the ends healthy and new?? Read Less

I just came from an appointment with Eric Estrada, and I really can't say enough good things. This is the best cut and highlights I've ever had. I got their Groupon looking for a new place, and I am happy I went to Studio 10. I am thrilled with the results, especially because I am particular about my long hair (hair all the way down my back). Eric was professional and very considerate. He sat and talked with me first to make sure he knew and understood what I wanted done and offered his own insight and expertise as to what he thought would make my baby-fine look fullest. He knew to tell me that a cut I had in mind wouldn't get the full body look results I wanted. My hair looks amazing, is soft, and full, and has great honey blonde highlights. Eric is very knowledgeable and talented. Also, I tend to be sensitive to hair colors because I have allergies, so when I have gotten my hair colored in the past at other salons the dye would cause a burning feeling and make me sneeze a ton. Studio 10 uses ammonia free color, and this is the first time I felt fine while getting my hair done. Read Less

Being in such a high end area I wasn't expecting to have to tie my hair back for 6 months after leaving. I could've gone to greatclips for that.Didn't realize until I washed my hair the following day what a disaster it is. And it's so short, there is no room to fix it. Read Less

I went in from Groupon for a cut and highlights. I have three complaints..1) It took literally 3 hours and 20 minutes to get this done. (A full hour longer than it has ever taken)2) My highlights are chunky in some places and very natural in others. The colors did turn out decent though to their credit.3) The cut is HORRIBLE. I had to fix it myself at home because there were several hairs longer than the rest, and the face framing was a choppy mess. I think my stylists name was Lauren, she was a very sweet girl but seemed very new to hair. I tipped generously out of obligation because I was there so long. A lady's hair the owner had just finished walked out with a very orange tinge to it on top as well, so I don't think it's entirely my stylist that isn't so great. Just my honest opinions.. if you don't want to risk your tresses I would find another spot. Read Less

Like many of the other reviews here, I too bought a groupon for Studio 10.  I wanted to treat myself to a facial.  I waited months and months to use it and it was close to expiring so I finally made my appointment to go in.  They are not open every day of the week so keep that in mind upon booking your appointment.I was able to get an early 9:30 appt with Emily for a facial but told to show up at 9:15 as I was new to the place and fill out paperwork.  Given the early time for downtown Naperville I was able to get a parking spot right in front of the place.  When you walk in it is a little weird - there is no reception desk so I had to interrupt one of the hair stylists washing someone's hair to say I was there for my appointment.  Well, there is a small desk I learned later when I was checking out but it's IN the salon part of the place when you walk in...to the right.  The set up is just strange compared to other salons I've been to, even just to visit because I bought a groupon.So I went in for my facial with Emily - she was friendly, made conversation but not too much as the facial experience is one to be relaxing...extractions weren't part of this particular facial, but I got a pretty damn good face, shoulder, and head massage.  The only downside was due to the set up here, you could hear lots of talking and chatter from the other end of the place during the facial...it was a little hard to relax fully.I did book another appointment for a facial, just not sure if it will work with my schedule after booking it but they do call to confirm in advance.
