The team at Michael Graham did a wonderful job for my bridal party hair and makeup. I worked with Frankie and she was so patient with me during the trial process. I came in for several trials to help narrow down the style of hair and makeup for my wedding day. Everything turned out absolutely perfect! For a hot August day my hair stayed in place and my makeup stayed fresh looking all day. The bridal party all enjoyed working with the different stylists and loved their. hair. The girl double booked my appointment and rather than making me a priority (since I had booked it way in advance) she decided to start with the other girl first. So my appointment took an extra 2 hours because of the wait. She didn't even try to accommodate me. However she was very good at coloring my hair. My gf goes here all the time and speaks highly of this place and figured I would give it a try. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't have a great experience too but I'll just have to travel a ways to go to my stylists salon.Read Less

This is a response to Kristina Goings review. As you know there is always 2 sides to each story. I would like to respond to each "issue" she mentioned. * I never refused to what she asked for. During the consultation she had some ideas of how she wanted her hair done. Unfortunately what she was asking for was undoable in haircutting theory, so I made a recommendation and she accepted. * I agree I used my hand to adjust her head position, but not in a "forceful way". I do that with every client. To help position the head exactly where I need it to be. * She had a very thick head of hair. In order to get through it I had to comb a bit firmer in order to get a precise cut. * I told her several times how I wanted her body position to be. I had to keep requesting her to sit back because she was leaning so far forward. And it's impossible to fall out of the chair backwards, since it has a back on it. * The only reason why my body ever even touched hers, when cutting, is because she barley fit in my chair. In fact her body was hanging over the chair. And cutting from behind is a normal approach to cutting longer hair. * I also didn't leave her after the cut. I always walk my clients to the front when done. And if she wanted to see the back of her hair or have something changed, then that's up to her to ask. * She never mentioned the bangs in the initial consultation. Only at the end. I asked where she wanted them to be and I cut them. Cutting a bang shouldn't take more than a few seconds if that. * What I charge isn't based off of how simple or complicated a haircut is. It's a flat rate. That's pretty much how the industry works. It's unfortunate that Kristina felt she had an unpleasant experience, but I felt it necessary to clarify on some of the things she stated. Most aggressive and uncomfortable experience I've ever had. I had a simple haircut with Chris and was the worst haircut ever. He refused to do the style I asked for and was my only day to get a haircut so I just agreed to his suggestion. Not only was it shorter than I asked and not the style I originally wanted but the experience was horrific. He would forcefully put his entire palm on the top of my head to turn it. When combing he would go so hard that even his hands would shake from it. He wouldn't talk to me much about how he wanted me to turn my head, he would keep telling me to lean back however. I was leaning so far back it felt like i was gonna fall out of the chair. When cutting the sides his body was pressed completely against mine. And there was a point where he was standing behind and lent over my body to cut the front of my hair. Not only was it extremley uncomfortable and an invasion of space but why would he cut that way?? He didn't ask if I wanted to see the back or change anything he just took my cape off and was gonna walk away. I had to stop him and say you're not done you haven't done anything with my bangs. He quickly did them... way too short. Then immediately took the cape off again and did walk away. It didn't seem like he wanted to be there. I was already unhappy then went to pay and it was $68 for a basic haircut. Again my entire haircut was shorter than I asked... Not the style I asked... I don't have the amount of layers I asked for... I hate it. But most of all I hated the experience more. Read Less

I started going to Randy a few years ago and he does such a great job everytime! I am now a student in Raleigh and I drive back to Greensboro to get my nails done. Randy always takes his time with what he is doing to ensure that it is perfect. I get gel polish and it always stays for up to a month without chipping. I have been a faithful client for a while now with the BEST NAIL TECH TIA . But the owner randy has been rude to me on numerous occasions . He does not have great personal skills and without a doubt cannot do nails . I was there yesterday and was having a private convo with my friends and here the owner comes asking me to leave because of our convo about another nail salon another great nail tech worked out . The owner Randall aka Randy is rude and has bad customer service! Each time I came to the salon I just felt rushed by him even though someone else was doing my nails. This last time me and some friends were in the shop we were kicked out because we were having a conversation about another business. Its not our fault that he is loosing all his clients and workers. I went to NC Nails and Spa this evening and had a wonderful experience! Tia waxed my eyebrows with a special Brazilian wax that adheres to the hair not the skin, so it didn't hurt. Also, Randy did my mani and pedi, he too was excellent. He used the SNS nail powder for my nails, which contains vitamin E and calcium to make the nails healthy, and the basic pedi package comes with sugar scrub, massage, and a hot towel wrap! He is personable, and easy going and is super detail oriented and professional. The salon was very clean and relaxing. Plus, since it was Tuesday, I got a $5.00 discount! I will definitely be back.
