I usually have a great experience here but I recently took a friend that was new to brow waxing and tinting. She had a few questions before starting but was really looking forward to it . The person that worked with her did the wax and tint then went behind the register to stand without applying any aloe or lotion to soothe the brow area. When my friend asked why my skin above and below my brows wasn't red, I explained that I had cover up applied. The girl helping my friend could not be bothered and instructed someone else to do it. If you are looking for an esthetician who is a brow expert and will never, ever disappoint, you absolutely must book an appointment with Krista! Krista has been shaping my brows since 2010 and I refuse to go or use anyone else. She truly has a passion for what she does and takes the time to get to know what you like before doing any work to ensure that you will be/are satisfied! She has a wonderful, bubbly personality and truly cares (and remembers) her customers.Krista also provided me with a phenomenal spray tan prior to a trip out to California and it looked amazing! (My husband's jaw dropped when he saw me which, as you ladies know, is a wonderful feeling!)I also love stopping by the Beauty Bar after my brow wax to have the staff apply products. I love benefit mascara! I think it's the best. One day while at the library and with no time I decided to just go and wax my eyebrows for once. I'm usually a person that gets them threaded. But benefit was very close to the library so I decided to go ahead and get my eyebrows waxed. It was a pretty big decision for me because it was the day before my friends wedding. But they did a phenomenal job and my eyebrows did not thin at all! My only complaint which will probably not change much is that it is a little on the pricey side. I know people who thread for much less and do a great job. All in all a good experience and something I will probably be doing every few months or so. Read Less

I was literally just there. I got to the door at 5:50pm and the doors were locked. A worker then came to the door and mouthed that they were closed. All I wanted was an eyebrow wax but they didn't ask me that. Talk about not wanting tips. Also, not wanting to make money for the company. I know my $20 isn't much but I was still wanting to spend my money with this company. Overall irritated because clearly the girls there just wanted to leave. Read Less

Don't even want to give them one star. Website says the store opens at 9. Went around 9:25 for my 930 appointment and the door was locked. Was told they don't open for another ten minutes and rage was it. I cancelled my apppintment due to such poor customer service. Read Less

The Benefit location in downtown Naperville treats their clients horribly. They work off commission and are completely pushy about products. If you decide not to purchase they are irritated and short with you. I am no longer going to get my brows and eyelashes done here. Eyebrow threading, 25 dollars...such a scam! I can go to a place at a mall and get it done for 7 dollars and they do a better job. The first time I went here I got a wax and they tore off my skin (burns) and still made me pay. They are unprofessional and the prices are ridiculous. I wish the Brow Bar at Ulta offered lash tinting, because the nearest full-service Benefit boutique is more than 30 min drive w/o traffic. Anyway, it was worth the trip. Despite a minor scheduling mix up, which was my fault, I had only a very short wait before my treatment. I had researched lash tinting online, and was a little worried about getting the product in my eyes. Not to fear. The technician did a pro job on the application, followed by two cool rinses until the extra dye was removed. I was already going without mascara, because I *hate* removing it, but some of my lashes were naturally light-colored on the tips. Now they are all black for the cost of a tube of mascara. I would recommend Benefit to anyone who wants to try tinting! Read Less

I absolutely ADORE this place! I've been coming here for almost two months for brow waxing  and I have to say... BRAVO! Great conversations, staff is very knowledgable on products, I bought their eye liner and brow pencil and I have to say they do a great job of keeping me looking my best! Every time I walk in I'm greeted with welcoming smiles as well as new sales. (Have you pocket books ready) So far, I've received outstanding service from Devin, Dana and Krista. I am from the Bay Area and love how attentive the staff is at the Benefit counters around here.  Expecting the same level of attention to detail, I came in to this location one recent afternoon while on vacation.  Unfortunately, I did not get the service I am used to.  The service felt rushed and more about selling me products than about doing a good job with shaping my brows. I am used to the Benefit staff taking time to carefully measure my brows and explain how they plan to shape them.  I do not recall any of that happening and this job was so shoddy I had to ask her to pluck the baby hairs left behind.The shop place is tiny and because it was a busy afternoon (which is weird since it was the middle of a weekday) it was also really crowded so we were all on top of each other.  At the end of the ordeal, I tried to redeem the yelp check-in offer and the cashier kept telling me that I was erroneously trying to redeem an Ulta promotion.  She wouldn't even look at my phone to verify one way or the other even though I kept trying to show her it said Benefit.  Instead, she told me that someone else had come in with the same promo and that customer was also mistaken in trying to use an Ulta offer there.  Ummm... maybe she should realize that she is the one with the incorrect information when this keeps happening over and over. The girls here are nice but my eyebrows never had the same KAPOW that I get at the brow bar at the Ulta off of 59th. I almost had the feeling that they were a bit inexperienced. Maybe with time they will get better. The benefit store is beautiful. The location is great...minus the fact that finding parking is a pain. I wish I can give it more stars but my eyebrows just won't let me. Oh and I forgot to mention that I have not tried the makeup artists so maybe I will give that a shot next time I'm in the mood for a makeup makeover, I love Benefit Cosmetics and they have wall to wall pink which I love. The overall atmosphere is one of "get the customer in and out as quickly as possible but also make sure they drop big bucks". This store isn't about the customer, it's about the bottom line. Save your time and go to an Ulta with a full line benefit. You will get much more personal service and won't feel like they're herding you to the door after emptying your wallet. The manager at this location is probably the worst part. If you want to listen to someone berate her associates within earshot of guests, this is the place for you. The Benefit products are great, there's no denying that! I don't always love the vibe I get from the customer service here though. A little product-pushy if you ask me.The store itself is adorable and super put together. There is minimal product out so "just browsing" isn't really an option. An associate will immediately offer to help you (which isn't a bad thing). My first experience with Benefit was at their space in the Bloomingdale's in the city. I was in for product and and to get my makeup done for my bachelorette party -- a super awesome gift from one of my bridesmaids. I thought they did a great job, so when it came time for my wedding day, I chose to pop into the Naperville Benefit to get eyelashes for my wedding. They did a fabulous job putting on each eyelash at a time and I thought the price was reasonable for the set.Most recently, I stopped in looking for some lip stain. I got their coral lip stain for my bachelorette and I love that you can use it as a cheek tinter as well. My only issue is that it comes in a nail polish like container so it's super hard to put on when you're on the go. I talked with the girl behind the counter about this and she informed me that's the only type of lip tint they have, but that they do carry a matching tinted moisturizer which is perfect for touch-ups on the go. Perfect!I bought their signature red stain and lip color which came out to a whopping $53 I was not prepared for. Needless to say, the lip stain works great and it does last quite some time. I wish I would have been informed that they offer a free makeup application if you spend more than $50. I totally would have done that, but didn't realize it was an option until I was reading the reviews after!They do have a Yelp check-in offer which includes a free deluxe mini beauty sample, but it turns out they give that to you anyone. My sample was a moisturizing lotion.Overall, A-OK in my book! Great products, clean store, and friendly service. I personally thing the prices are a bit high though and I wish they weren't so pushy with the product, and instead gave genuine suggestions. Read Less

I made an appointment for my makeup trial 2 weeks before my wedding. They told me to come with 3 pictures of what I wanted. I showed the pictures and told the consultant these three words: "classic, natural, clean." She caked all sorts of products on me, then the kicker- cobalt blue mascara. What is natural, classic, or clean about cobalt blue mascara? I was mortified. The entire time I kept telling her that I was unhappy and I didn't feel pretty and she just kept telling me that I looked great. Awful experience. At the end they made me buy 3 products. After I left I realized they didn't even give me the correct products. Luckily when I went back they refunded my purchase, but that was 2 and a half hours of my life wasted. Needless to say I am going elsewhere for my wedding day makeup. Read Less

I've been to this Benefit store multiple times. I usually do not have a problem parking because I go in the middle of the day or very early afternoon. They are great for a last-minute appointment and squeezed me in with about five minutes notice. They are usually busy on the weekends and on days when they're shopping events in downtown Naperville. The service itself is nice. I got a lash tint for the first time this time and I was not impressed with the explanation of the service before they started. It would be important to know that you have to sit with your eyes shut for eight minutes. Overall it was just okay. They do push products on you every single time you walk to the store even if you asked them not to, which is very annoying. The price is about right and they are convenient for a quick stop in.  I also get the same service if I stop at the Benefit Bar inside ULTA and they don't push products. Read Less

Probably the cutest little store ever. If they sold cupcakes, wait, scratch that- if they gave away cupcakes I'd be in heaven. I wanted to get my makeup done for a little event and since I'm a fan of the lightness and kitsch of Benefit products already and it's proximity to my house is good, I figured this store would be the perfect place to get my beauty on. I loved the store itself and the staff are helpful, attentive, and friendly. I made an appointment to get my make-up done and was told that the cost is actually a $50 product purchase. This was great to know as I had previously been purchasing all of my Benefit products through Ulta using their 20% off and $5 off $20 mailer coupons. Now that I know I can basically get my make-up done for free if I buy two things, I'll think twice before going to Ulta for my Benefit Binge. The makeup application itself was good. It wasn't the best make up I'd ever had done but I understand that Benefit is more of natural gal's make up store and when you have neon orange hair, natural is a look you're just never going to be able to pull off. I asked for a nighttime smoky look and in the end I looked pretty good but it was still just a little too natural for my tastes so I added s'more eyeliner once I got home. The make up app didn't end up lasting all night like I had hoped but it was nice to be stress free about doing my own make-up for once. When I left I felt like it was a steal to be able to get my make-up done AND leave with 3 products and a brush for around $75. Read Less
