I had wanted a regular manicure and had called beforehand for pricing. She gave me the price of the manicure and a few moments later I drove to the salon. There were two customers already getting their nails done and when I entered not a single worker made eye contact or acknowledged I had even entered the salon. I saw down in a seat next to the desk and patiently waited for my turn. All of a sudden one of the nail techs looks up at me and asked to leave because there was know one that could do my nails, even though there were three nail techs with no customer sitting at their tables. I was extremely embarrassed and in shock. I had no problem waiting for a tech to finish and get my nails done, but she had told me to leave the salon in front of the other customers. Very nice people doing a great job on nails. I started getting my nails done at Charming Nails the first week they opened and 15+ years later, they are still my favorite nail salon. They are timely, tidy and talented. Prices are reasonable for manicures, pedicures, gels and regular polish. Large parking lot available. All the manicurists are excellent. Read Less

I love this place despite the weird location they're at, but there's never shortage of parking so that's a plus. I got a no chip manicure with Amy, the lady was very professional and did a good job. My no chip manicure lasted for almost a month, which is very convenient for someone like me who's very busy during weekdays. I love coming here! Esther is so detail oriented and always listens to how I want my nails! She takes her time and doesn't rush through it. If I don't like the way something looks she will take her time and make sure I'm happy! What I love the most is that all the ladies are so nice and respectful & they don't talk in a foreign language the whole time I'm here! Went there the other day as a walk in to get a touch up, I sat down to wait, I was aked if I had an appointment after I answered no I was told to leave because they had "enough customers". I've been here only three times, and each time I have gotten a no chip manicure. Usually no chip mani's shouldn't chip or peel off for at least two weeks. The first two times I've gone there I've always had small chips here and there but I blame those all on myself. The last time I went there (two weeks ago) I believe it was the owner that was doing my nails. There were 2-3 other customers who came in for a walk in appt. You could tell she was speeding up the no chip process so she wouldn't lose those customers. I had three nails with nail polish completely peeled off of them in less than a week. It sucks because everyone there is so nice and friendly, and the atmosphere there is great too... but you can tell some of them are all about the money and don't care too much about nail quality. My nails have looked amazing each time I've been there but it's a bummer when this is the most I've ever payed for a no-chip and have had multiple nails with the nail polish all peeled off before it's been a full week of getting them done. Shop is clean. The ladies there are nice. My pedicure was mediocre. The nails look good but the bottom of my feet were not properly scrubbed. They were dry and rough. My no-chip sucked. I got the no chip for a special event I am supposed to be attending for the following week.  3 days after I got the no chip, they started chipping! It's only on one hand which makes it worse because I'm stuck with the polish on the other hand unless I pay to soak them off.I've paid less money other places and have gotten better mani pedis. I've been coming here for years and I love it! Not only do they know all their customers by name but they treat all of them like family! They charge $36 for a mani/pedi which is not the cheapest but the service makes up for it. Huge selection of OPI & Essie! I drive 8 miles just to come here and if I happen to go somewhere else, it makes me appreciate how good & clean they are. Definitely check them out if you're look for a place! They are FANTASTIC! Love Charming Nails! This is the only nail salon I go to. I love their manicures and pedicures. I recently starting getting No-Chip manicures and they last me at least 2 weeks! I have been going here for awhile to get mani/pedi done & have always been happy. They are clean, reasonable priced. I find it hard to believe that a negative comment was made about Jewish people as a past review said. Just keep in mind they DO NOT take credit card or debit, but will accept checks or cash. I completely forgot about this one time & had nothing on me, talk about feeling like a jerk. The owner without any hesitation told me just come back & pay. Who does that? I love Janet and the crew at Charming Nails. I came into the place once after a terrible day at work and I had an amazing manicure/pedicure. Now I go their 1-2 times a month for their services. The women are very professional and friendly. I have never heard them saying anything inappropriate about other people's ethnicity.   They are great and making room to serve you if you call ahead. The color selection is amazing and everything is very clean and professional. My one gripe is that the no chip manicures only last about a week or 10 days (at the most) and I feel disappointed paying for a no chip and it not ever really lasting a long time, so I'll stick to the standard mani/pedi at Charming nails. I've been coming to Charming Nails for over 4 years, ever since my co-worker recommended the salon to me. Janet is lovely & does an incredible job. She was an animation colorist in Korea and has a deft touch. My manicures last longer then any other salon I have gone to; from downtown to Lincoln Park to Sauganash. I am in my 50's so I've had quite a few mani-pedi's. I live near in the 60659 zip code & am very happy to make the trip to Charming Nails.  When I make an appointment I rarely have to wait more then a minute to be taken care of. Read Less

I love Charming Nails! I have been going here for about 5 years now and don't mind driving from Chicago out to Morton Grove for the experience. They've recently renovated and it's beautiful inside. Also, each client gets clean tools for their mani/pedi. Several of the technicians are quite talkative and funny, another reason I like going there. I'm always pleased with the work I have done and will continue going there as long as I live in the Chicago-land area. I highly recommend them!I want to mention that they only take cash and personal checks, no credit cards accepted. The mani/pedi is $42, plus tip. I find it very hard to believe that Janet, the owner, would make comments about Jewish people as Lori mentions in her review.
